- The young trappers are taken by surprise when these bold scavengers invade their cabin.
- Jim Carvel takes a cabin in the woods and under the pretext of trapping wolves clears the town of the bad sheriff and his lieutenant. The girl's brother is the cashier of the bank, and after falling into debt to the bad men is forced to take the amount from the bank and place explosives in the vault. Jim watches him from the window and before the fuse is burnt runs in and steals the money from the vault. When he is surrounded in the girl's home he manages to get the drop on the mob and shows his badge revealing that he is the U. S. Deputy that the village judge had sent for. The sheriff and his aide are arrested and the girl forgives Jim.

- Tom appears as a wandering fellow, strolling on the docks. The crew of a schooner see him and he is promptly shanghaied, the captain having first thrown the hero's canine pal into the water. He recovers from the beating given him on board the vessel, but swears he will not work. The only friend he makes is a lad on the boat who has also been forcibly taken on board. During a storm the hero starts a mutiny and is thrown overboard. He lands near a lighthouse and is befriended by the sole inhabitants, the keeper of the light and his daughter. The hero falls in love with the girl and later thinks he has lost her when the boy from the schooner suddenly appears. He turns out to be her brother.
- Clem Martin is searching for his brother Bud Simpson in the desert when he comes upon a woman with a child who says she is Bud's wife. He left his family five months ago for the fast-paced town of Yucca. Clem finds him,but Bud is killed at a bar and Clem returns to the desert to raise the child and live with his brother's former wife.
- Bob and Bill go on a camping trip. While setting up camp, they encounter a young badger. They capture it and manage to learn quite a bit about its life and habitat.

They, however, steal the payroll, and when Tom goes after them he is suspected. He brings back the money and marries the lumberman's daughter.
- Buck Rollins, driver of a stage coach, befriends a girl named Mary Sherman on her first trip West. The girl's younger brother has pretended to be rich, but his supposed gold mine does not exist. Buck "lends" him a mine to make good his bluff, and then aids the youth in breaking away from bad company he is in.
- A man returns after fifteen years of wandering and finds his daughter. A flash-back tells you the story of fifteen years ago and how the villain "Black Bart" attacked his wife, and how to escape him she jumped from a cliff and killed herself. The baby was kidnapped. "Black Bart" is still active and kills one of the sheriffs. For this crime the girl's lover is suspected, but the father sacrifices himself and goes to prison. "Black Bart" plots the girl's abduction, but a terrific storm takes place and the prison walls are struck by lightning, liberating the man, who rushes to the rescue of his daughter.
- Sheriff Tom adopts the little daughter of an outlaw whom he thinks is dead. Years later the outlaw returns and a confederate forces him to rob the sheriff's safe; he is wounded and dies without his daughter knowing him. The sheriff discloses to the daughter, however, the fact that he is not her father, and she decides to remain with him.
- Silent Jim Sutherland has a secret sorrow. At length a city financier, his daughter and her fiance all arrive to this Western town and engage Silent Jim as guide to look into some timber land. Silent Jim recognizes the girl's fiance as the man who killed his wife many years before and stole his gold. The truth is revealed in the same cabin that was once Silent Jim's home. An old Indian proves the statement and when the villain attempts to kidnap the girl, he meets his fate at the hands of the dog.

Her husband has been made prisoner by the sheriff for stealing cattle, and "The Wolf" bargains with her to save her husband if she will give herself to him. After saving the husband, "The Wolf's" heart is softened by the little child and he reunites the husband and wife.
