This drama was based on a manga series of the same name by Eiko Tachibana, which debuted in 2019. "We Are Too Clumsy About Love" is a 2020 Japanese drama series that was directed by Koji Ono and Hidetaka Sakamoto.

Kanno stars as the unfortunate heroine with an ugly personality who grows through her encounters with this good-natured middle-aged man.

- Matsushima Kenichiro is basically a straight guy because he hates dishonesty. He is an employee at a medium-sized building firm and works in design. However, he is inept when it comes to love.
