- Lauro (Eddie Garcia) is a married man who just loves women. His wife Elena (Gloria Diaz), a beautiful and strong-willed woman, is dead-set on keeping him from womanizing.
- A bunch of high school chums get themselves deep into the ghost-hunting thing. They met the supernatural, the Ulanaya, a spirit that takes many forms. Malevolent but only after going through years of exposure to the evils perpetrated by humans. This is what the Ulanaya acquires after absorbing all the negative thoughts, acts and deeds of humans it has come across with through the years. In the process, the Ulanaya then musters the ability to take many forms such as the wind, fire, water, earth and others making it the ultimate elemental and its malevolence, most potent. A force to reckon with especially on the gang of amateur ghost hunters, the Spirit Warriors do battle against this behemoth of an elemental, the Ulanaya.
- A story based on the actual case of Fatima Buen.
- Young Carmen Castro (Maricel Soriano) is unmarried and pregnant and informs her cousin Stella (Amy Austria) about her situation. Stella scoffs and recommends abortion, as does Jerry, the child's father. Her overly-religious landlady Juling (Charito Solis), who is busy juggling her religious aims and her legal quarrel with the poor families illegally living on her land, strongly suggests that she keep the baby, as killing it would be a sin against God. Carmen sees signs that would seemingly suggest an answer to her difficult decision. Her poor neighbors struggle for money to feed their children. She sees a physically malformed child vending goods outside the church. She loses her job at a financing company due to the struggling economy during that time. Carmen eventually decides to have an abortion in a deeply moving scene with close-up shots of the cold steel utensils.
- Mimosa accepts a job as a nude model to pay the medical bills of her child. What began as an economic necessity turns into reliving the past when she learns the painter is a former flame who she could not make things work with.
