- The festival takes place since 1982 and focuses on short subjects. Between 1982 and 1988 the festival was a Super-8 only event, then opened for video productions in 1989. Since 1993 the festival's selections focus on changing mottoes. Juried awards were not handed out prior to 1995.
- No festivals were being celebrated in 1984, 1994 and 1997.
