The only videogames I could ever give a rating of 10
Despite thinking that films and games have the same entertainment value in general, I found games to have a lot harder work to find perfection, which might be the result of them being so much longer and more detailed. For example, I have like 300 movies that I rated 10 here (not necessarily rightful, but that's how I felt about them when I gave the rating), but there's such a small amount games to name among them. Here are the games that I could play over and over 'till the end of time, and never get bored of them. I'll also list 2 titles that doesn't have their own entries on this site (will probably update to more in the future), being not that known and/or independent free titles.
S.O.S. - a survival adventure on the Super Nintendo. This unheard gem is amazing in basically creating "Poseidon - The Game". You play as several characters on a ship that's about to capsize and keeps turning over. Each character has about 7 endings depending on how you escape.
World of Goo - a nice puzzle game with creative and addictive gameplay.
Yume Nikki - Either an intentional masterpiece that makes its gameworld feel empty and disturbing, or just and unfinished game that works the same way, I love this one and it meant a lot to me. After playing it to the end, it kept me thinking about it for weeks. It's freeware, so give it a look, though be warned, it's a love or hate type of game.
Every Day The Same Dream - a minimalistic existential flash game which can be finished in 10 minutes, but the visuals and music makes it a lasting experience. It's a bit sad though, which helps it being easy to remember.
Don't Look Back - a free game by Terry Cavanagh, it's simple and adorable, but not in the "usual" sense. Also, I like the overly nostalgic feeling.
The Binding of Isaac - Christ, this is weird, but an awesomely weird one. It's pretty much Zelda's dungeon system repeated in a randomized fashion, but you'll come back to play it more and more just because of the sheer amount of useful items you can unlock. Definitely worth its money, and as a plus, I recommend listening to some creepy music (like something by Nurse With Wound or Current 93 among others) while playing. Gives the whole atmosphere a new flavor.
Cave Story - something of a legend in indie gaming circles, one of the least repetitive games with great writing in my opinion.
To The Moon - I was really pissed off by the ending which I'm not spoiling here, but maybe it was the point. I don't know, I wasn't happy with it, that's for sure. Either way, it's very well written, and the gameplay while it's criticised, I think it's "enough" to be qualified as a game. It has one of the most memorable plot, characters, and basically it's very immersive. I found myself finishing it in one big run which is hard for me, seeing how I can't play more than 3 hours straight these days (this one took 6 hours, yeah I suck). Highly recommend it for anyone, though more sensitive people should bring some tissues.

59 titles
- DirectorCasey HudsonStarsJennifer HaleRaphael SbargeRafael FerrerA republic soldier, training to become a Jedi Knight, is given the task of halting the conquest of Darth Malak by discovering the location of a weapon known as the Star Forge. While the rest of the list is loosely put in order, this one is my absolute favourite of all. It creates its own mythos and wonderful world the same way the original Star Wars trilogy did: using the best cliches of the best sci-fi movies, and modifying them to make them fit in its own world. It's not original to say the least, but it proved to be effective in the movies, and does so in this game. Replay value is really high, and it's a very lengthy game, which makes it worth its price even more than The Orange Box. Also, has one of the most intriguing plots I've ever seen in a game.
- DirectorKeiichiro ToyamaStarsMichael GuinnSusan PapaThessaly LernerHarry awakes from a car crash to notice his daughter, Cheryl, vanished. As he searches for her, through the eerie town of Silent Hill, a terrifying descent into the unknown is set.Definitely the scariest game I ever played, and despite having dated graphics and messed up controls, it remains my almost-favourite with the scare effects not being able to be reduced by the age factor. It also has the best Dark World in the series, I just feel uneasy looking into the infinite dark pits.
- DirectorGabe NewellRandy PitchfordStarsKathy LevinHarry S. RobinsMike ShapiroDr. Gordon Freeman must fight his way out of a secret research facility after a teleportation experiment goes disastrously wrong.Still think it's the best shooter out there. It's colourful and has a big variety in both weapons and environments. It kept me playing to the end, and I kept replaying it like every year once. The main selling point was the world Xen, which you enter at the end of the game. It was so sudden and such a radical change in environment, but it was just as amazing. The multiplayer is something that I love to remember; I loved it better than Counter Strike, despite being more primitive and just plain worse.
- StarsJeff BennettBilly Dee WilliamsMark KlastorinYou guide mercenary Kyle Katarn, who must stop the evil plot of a renegade Jedi by relearning his skills as a Jedi Knight.Has a very good Star Wars feel to it. You'll meet familiar people in familiar environments, which almost makes it feel like a direct sequel to the original trilogy. It also has the best saber combat to date, only succeeded by a slightly updated combat system in its sequel. This is probably the best Star Wars game that has a close relationship with any of the movies.
- DirectorKen LevineStarsKemal AmarasinghamLaura BaldwinMatt BoyntonAn agent is deployed on a mission to explore a distant planet, but instead wakes up from his cryosleep five months later only to discover that the ship's artificial intelligence has been corrupted and the humans infected by an alien race.Probably the definitive sci-fi game to me. The plot is awesome, the narrative is amazing and the sound design alone makes it worth playing through. The gameplay is revolutionary (see Doom 3 and Bioshock using the same formula), and it just feels like the best hybrid of first person shooters and roleplaying games. Also, it can give me the creeps by its randomly placed enemies, and SHODANs voice is just plain unsettling. I wish I could love the first game as much as I love this.
- DirectorTakayuki KobayashiMasashi TsuboyamaStarsGuy CihiMonica HorganDonna BurkeAfter receiving a letter from his late wife, from Silent Hill, James Sunderland heads towards the town to search for her, only to come across a terrifying road of truth and redemption.Don't think this one needs an introduction. It's scary (quite so), and features one of the most well-crafted plots in the industry. The gameplay is also polished compared to the first, and over the span of 2 years the visuals changed a lot, all for the better.
- StarsDavid BatesonUlle Bjørn BengtssonJoost Alexander Van Der BergAfter a failed job, 47 hides in a dark room and while delusional, he dreams about past assignments. My favourite of the series, a little bit short but entertaining as hell. It has the best atmosphere and music of the Hitman games in my opinion, and that alone makes me want to play it over the other ones in the series. Other than that, it's the casual Hitman game, and that means an addictive and very much fun gameplay with lots of replay value.
- DirectorRasmus HøjengaardStarsDavid AndrioleDavid BatesonBarbara BernádA larger, more powerful agency is systematically eliminating assassins in a series of hits, who are all from Agent 47's contract killing firm, The International Contract Agency (ICA).This one improves the already awesome gameplay presented with some previous titles, and still has the fun that is some of the biggest replay value, which became a trademark of the series. There are a lot of ways to finish a level, and that's why you'll never play the same game again replaying this. The music is even better than in Contracts, and though I like it better, Jesper Kyd wrote a more fitting soundtrack for Contracts. This one also has a riveting plot.
- DirectorDavid CageStarsDavid GasmanPaul BandeySharon MannA man is forced to go on the run after he unwillingly becomes involved in a series of supernatural crimes that have haunted New York City.A cinematic adventure that is half written by the creator, and half written by how you play the game. Lots of people are arguing over how it gets off track by introducing those extraordinary sci-fi and fantasy elements towards the end of the game. To those people: did you really expect a game which begins with your main character being possessed by something to be a realistic one?
- DirectorTom HallJake Strider HughesStarsBruce DuBoseRaphael ParryTom HallIn a cyberpunk future, humanity has several space colonies, and Anachronox is one of the worst. A down-on-his-luck P.I. lives in its slums. A strange and possibly senile little old man hires him to save the world, or that's what he thinks. It pushed the boundaries of the Quake II engine in such a way that never ceases to amaze me. Was in production for a REALLY long time and still they couldn't finish it properly, which means the story is unfinished in the same manner as KOTOR 2's. It also means that the game is buggy, this time so much, that you can't even finish the game until you apply a patch for it. This is probably the worst game on this list considering its technical weaknesses, but it's such a blast to play through. It's a roleplaying game, which is heavily story-driven, and filled with jokes that actually work. If you want a taste of the game's humor, go watch the movie (which is basically an edited machinima consisting mostly of the game's cutscenes), but keep in mind that the game is 10 times the more fun. It's a must play.
- DirectorShirô MurataWarlock sends out his henchman while the benevolent Vampire and Monster (of Frankenstein), shrunken by an evil spell, are watching TV at the home of Jack, a lazy, girl-crazy teenager who has taken them in. The two must battle through the house outside on the streets, in the sewer, at a construction site, through a Chinese restaurant, and finally through monster mountain. Major foes include Spring-Heeled Jack, Bigfoot, Kraken, Gremlin, Medusa, and Warlock. One of the best NES titles. Pick-up-and-play, and can be finished in an hour after you first beat it, but you'll replay it a lot regardless. Perfect fun game for Halloween, even if not remotely scary or serious for that matter.
- StarsDaniel RiordanWally WingertRebecca Kyler DownsA medieval action game that follows the story of Heretic.A great action adventure game that offers you an amazing fantasy world. Love to play it every now and then.
- DirectorJoseph D. KucanStarsUdo KierRay WiseKari WuhrerYou play either the Soviet or Allied side as you battle against the mad scientist Yuri.I'm listing this one because you'll get the original Red Alert 2 to play this anyways, and this is just an upgraded expansion of the former. I like to think of it as the perfect strategy game, which does not require more than an hour to complete a single level (and that's a really hard level if you need one hour for it). It is also not insanely hard yet challenging. Pretty addictive.
- StarsMassimo AgostinelliAnilla AkbarUsman AkbarJust when Agent 47, a former high-target hitman for an international contractor, has decided to reform himself and retire, he becomes engulfed in an elaborate conspiracy as an anonymous organization kidnaps his friend, the resident priest. This one simply perfected an "almost awesome" prequel, in a way of giving us the same unique gameplay's extremely polished version. If I have anything against it, it's the Silent Assassin ratings. They are almost impossible to get, and the way to get them is just ridicoulous and unrealistic. Still, so much fun.
- DirectorEdmund McMillenTommy RefenesMeat Boy goes to rescue his girlfriend Bandage Girl, who's been kidnapped by the evil Dr. Fetus. An insanely tough platformer which never made me angry. Not even when it took 3 hours to complete a single set of 3 levels, each consisting of one screen. It pays the ultimate homage to all the old tough classics, while becoming a classic game itself. For 15 dollars, you'll get a game that's going to last 5 times longer than the singleplayer campaign of Modern Warfare 2 on the highest difficulty. Actually, make it 10. Completely worth your money.
- DirectorAmir RaoStarsLogan CunninghamAshley Lynn BarrettKristin WilsonAfter a cataclysmic event, a boy wakes up and discovers the Bastion, a floating haven called home by a strange man named Rucks, and journeys the ruins of the old world to find shards to piece their world back together.Well, I didn't like it at first look, but when that narrator started speaking I had that weird "Stranger Than Fiction" feel, and started laughing like crazy. Despite all that, the plot evolved into one of the most moving ones that I've seen in games, and let's just say that I didn't hesitate to start a new game plus after I finished it.
- StarsSara KestelmanNicky KattRoger Guenveur SmithYou play an exiled and depowered Jedi Knight who has returned to the Republic and must restore both your powers and the devastated Jedi Order to challenge the Sith. This sequel disappointed so many fans of the original; it's unfinished and buggy as hell. It's like they always force Obsidian to release their games before they can properly finish them (just take a look at Alpha Protocol). I still love this one because it's not doing the same thing as its prequel, despite having almost the same gameplay. The plot has a completely different feel and the gameplay introduced minor things that set a huge background to the game's cast, which is the influence system. Might be a flawed gem, but I still call it a favourite.
- DirectorSuguru MurakoshiStarsKaren StrassmanRobert BelgradeEric BossickHenry wakes up trapped in his own apartment. Forced to crawl a mysterious gateway on the wall, he's taken to grisly realities that holds both secrets and answers.Yeah, it has some of the worst gameplay in the series and it recycles all of the levels to extend the playtime, but it also features the best mystery in the series, and it's just as effective and scary. Another flawed gem that I'll like to the end of time.
- DirectorShigeru MiyamotoA plumber named Mario and his brother Luigi travel through the Mushroom Kingdom to save the princess from the evil Bowser. No matter how awesome all the sequels were, they never even came close to this one.
- StarsMontana LoranAndrew PolkA freak laboratory accident transports scientist Lester Knight Chaykin to a brutal alien world, where he must work together with a strange ally to survive. It's far from being my favourite, but I always felt like this was the absolute best videogame ever made. Go check it yourself.
- DirectorElijah Ilyas KadujiStarsFaye MoreyTony TaylorDrive through cities, mine and industrial areas collecting bonuses, damaging competitors' cars, or by running over pedestrians in Carmageddon.Mindless fun, it is. This controversial destruction racing game is just funny as hell (even if inappropriate), and the gameplay is addictive. The Splat Pack expansion is almost the same, but I found that the levels of the original makes it better. I'd also include the second game here, but for some mysterious reason I can't find a page for it. So IMDB has a page for the mediocre third game, but not the awesome second one. Huh. Also, stick with the PC versions of these games because all the console and other ports are just trash.
- DirectorKeith AremMo DavoudianRichard M DumontStarsMonica BellucciClaudia BessoThor BishopricA proud yet innocent prince is being chased by The Dahaka (Guardian of Time) as a consequence of his actions. He seeks aid from The Empress of Time to escape from the notion that he cannot change his fate.Fantastic sequel to Sands of Time, with the combat system being upgraded to an extent of becoming probably the best hack-and-slash game with the same amazing platforming elements as its predecessor.
- StarsRay LiottaWilliam FichtnerTom SizemoreAfter being released from jail, Tommy Vercetti leaves Liberty City for Vice City, a city overrun by the mob. Now, Tommy is out to make Vice City his home. The series has its ups and downs, and for me this is the definitive GTA game. It features a wonderful sandbox city that looks awesome, and it doesn't feature stupid girlfriend sidequests and whiny cousins. Too much fun.
- DirectorKun ChangStarsYuri LowenthalRick MillerSarah CarlsenThe Prince of Persia makes his way home to Babylon, bearing with him Kaileena, the enigmatic Empress of Time, and unspeakable scars from the Island of Time. The trilogy ends with this one, and it doesn't have too much more to offer as its predecessors. Fortunately, it doesn't need to do so, because the first two were fantastic to begin with. The trilogy's plot also gets a fairly good ending.
- DirectorKazuhide NakazawaStarsHeather MorrisRichard GrosseDonna BurkeHeather is suddenly thrust into a strange alternate reality filled with demonic imagery and twisted monsters. She quickly comes to find that the events unfolding around her have something to do with her past.Same as the other Silent Hill games, this one has a well deserved place among my favourites.
- DirectorMartin StoltzStarsFrank SchurterStephen BennettBrad BromanAfter a horrific car crash your character ends up in an asylum. You must find out how you came to be there and recover your identity.A very unique point-and-click character study, even if a more primitive one. It always managed to surprise me and I kept playing just to see what it would do next.
- DirectorKeiichi SuzukiLoosely based on the film Batman (1989), you play as Batman and fight through multiple levels of enemies and bosses, culminating in a showdown with the Joker in the bell tower of Gotham Cathedral.Forget Arkham Asylum, this is the best game based on the Caped Cusader (not implying Arkham Asylum sucks, i loved that one too).
- DirectorEric 'Giz' GewirtzStarsBob BergenChristina RumbleyCorey BurtonPlay as the foot soldier of the galaxy's greatest factions and wage war across countless planets.Has a total Star Wars feel to it too, and it has good battles on foot and in space alike. An awesome mixture of old-era and new-era Star Wars.
- DirectorYoshinori KitaseAkihiko MatsuiTakashi TokitaCrono, a young boy, is thrust to adventure by destiny to destroy an oncoming threat that will destroy the world in 1999.This title got me into roleplaying games. Nuff said.
- DirectorSylvain BernardShea WagemanStarsRoger Craig SmithKristen BellNolan NorthDesmond Miles is trained to become a modern-day Assassin through the resurrected memories of ancestor Ezio Auditore da Firenze, who uncovers a massive Templar conspiracy in Renaissance Italy leading to the new Pope.Surpasses a mediocre sequel in every way possible, and creates a Da Vinci Code-like mysterious background story. It's hard to decide wether the gameplay or the plot drove me to play it more.
- DirectorArnt JensenA boy wakes up in a forest and sets off to find his sister. Both the style and gameplay are satisfying enough for this to become a personal favourite. The narrative is unique and it's a bit hard to figure out, and then you'll probably not be able to figure it out completely. There's one bad thing about it, it's just too short.
- StarsShelley BlondNathan McCreeLara Croft, archaeologist and daughter to a rich aristocratic English family ventures across the world in search of three mysterious artifacts known as Scions. During her journey, she stumbles across the lost continent of Atlantis. The first one in the series is also the best. That T-rex made me jump quite a bit when it appeared out of nowhere.
- StarsJames McCaffreyHaviland MorrisChris PhillipsA troubled NYPD cop is framed for murder and finds himself being hunted by the police, the mob, and a ruthless corporation.Good narrative, inventive gameplay, and amazing style. The sequel is almost as good. Almost.
- DirectorJunichi OnoStarsKatashi IshizukaTetsuya IwanagaYûko MiyamuraSpin-off of the "Street Fighter" series which incorporates 3D graphics into the 2D head-to-head fighting game. It is non-canon to the mainline installments. The 17 available characters fight in an often-changing 3D arena.Well, it's Street Fighter on a 3D plane and I love it. I killed so much money into the arcade, if only i knew back then that it had a Playstation port...
- The Evil Witch Doctor has returned and is up to no good once again. And this time, he has kidnapped Princess Leilani's sister, Tina. Rushing to her rescue, Master Higgins must face the forces of nature and ghoul in eight islands."ADVENTURE ISLAND 2" - just to make sure you know which game this is. It has all the ingredients for a perfect NES game: enjoyable gameplay, great variety of environments, 4 types of dinosaurs to ride (seriously, every NES game should have this), and a great variety of enemies within a really long game. It always felt like a real adventure to finish it (did it only twice 'cause it's really hard).
- StarsSusie BrannRoger JacksonJarion MonroeA game with an all new story that takes place after Lewis Carroll's stories. Alice must return to Wonderland and defeat the Queen of Hearts once and for all.Quite a twist to the original tale, this features a style over gameplay, and it succeeds to amaze me with it. That doesn't mean the gamplay sucks though, it's just "alright".
- DirectorDavid SpeyrerStarsRobert GuillaumeRobert CulpLouis Gossett Jr.Dr. Freeman is taken out of stasis by his "employer" to help rid the planet of invading aliens forces known as the Combine that entered through the portals he helped create. While it's not as good as the first one (to me at least), it always felt like the "right" sequel to it. It still has a good variety of environments (minus Xen, which disappointed me) and weapons (plus a gravity gun, yay). This time the plot felt more important, and the characters were more detailed, which is great. Awesome game.
- DirectorJonathan BlowA man, Tim, goes on a quest to save a princess from an evil monster. While I was impressed by the ending scene, the big highlight for me was the fact that it used game mechanics as metaphors and didn't use any cutscenes.
- DirectorRay MuzykaGreg ZeschukStarsJocelyn AhlfVictor BrandtCam ClarkeThe last surviving Spirit Monk goes on a quest to save their tutor Master Li and defeat the forces of corrupt emperor Sun Hai.Way not as good as KOTOR, but it's still a fun roleplaying game in the same style. After the perfection of Knights of the Old Republic, and before the overrated action-oriented Mass Effect - this might give you a picture of what it is like.
- StarsYuri LowenthalJoanna WasickBarry DennenA young prince with expert fighting skills acquires the Dagger of Time, and unknowingly releases the powerful Sands of Time with it. Now he is trapped in a palace with sand creatures and must undo the unfortunate deed he has done.Great 3D sequel to the old classics, this game managed to fix what Prince of Persia 3D messed up pretty badly. It features one of the best gameplay sensations too, the time rewind ability.
- DirectorEiji AonumaYoichi YamadaYoshiaki KoizumiStarsNobuyuki HiyamaFujiko TakimotoJun MizusawaA young Kokiri boy discovers that his destiny is to free the Seven Sages and save the land of Hyrule from the treacherous sorcerer Ganondorf."THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: OCARINA OF TIME" - english title.
It's a very well known game and I'm not wasting your time explaining why it's awesome. Also known as possibly the best videogame of all time - though I'd object against that. - DirectorDave 'Foots' FootmanScott HenshawStarsPaul DzenkiwJosie MaranDean McKenzieA lone street racer must use his talents to rise to the top of the Blacklist, comprised of the 15 most elite drivers in the city of Rockport.I found this to be the best NFS game. Cop chases, gentle amount of car costumization (probably the only time they didn't get carried away by this), and a nifty open world makes it a lasting experience.
- DirectorDrew MarkhamBrandon JamesStarsJames AlcroftSteve BlumCam ClarkeIn 1945, the Nazis are planning to resurrect Heinrich I. After being imprisoned, it is up to O.S.A. soldier B.J. Blazkowicz to foil the operation.I like this over wolfenstein 3D, and not because of the updated graphics. It's for the awesome gameplay. An amazing fact is, while this game is a decade old now, it still has some working servers for multiplayer.
- DirectorTim StamperWaking to find his banana hoard clean gone, Donkey Kong sets out with his nephew Diddy Kong through jungle and cavern, past temples and reef, across pine forests, factories, and mountains to rid the island of the wicked Kremlings and reclaim his bananas. With such a variety of environments and amazing graphics for its time, I always considered this to be a blast to play each time I played it. Was god hard though...
- DirectorTim StamperKaptain K. Rool kidnaps Donkey Kong and imprisons him high atop Crocodile Isle. Diddy Kong and his friend Dixie Kong must brave pirate ships, volcanoes, swamps, demented theme parks and deep, dark forests to rescue the gormless gorilla.Same as Donkey Kong Country, though at first I was skeptic about the pirate theme being able to give the player the same variety of levels as the first game. I'm glad I was proved wrong.
- DirectorTim StamperTrouble is brewing yet again on Donkey Kong Island and it's up to Dixie to save the captured Donkey and Diddy Kong and stop the evil Kremlings. The last Donkey Kong Country game on the Super Nintendo, this is as much fun as its predecessors.
- StarsTerri BrosiusHelen DunsmoirAustin GrossmanAboard a space station in a cyberpunk vision of the year 2072, a security hacker attempts to hinder the plans of a malevolent artificial intelligence called SHODAN.Not as good as its sequel, but it's still awesome and has the first step to the mentioned sequel's revolutionary gameplay. It has an intense gameplay with RPG elements, and the awesome cyberspace that was not included in the sequel for whatever reason (okay it was, but that was just an excuse of a cyberspace level really). If there's one problem with it, it's the controls, as they are really uncomfortable. Still, introduced the absolute best villain in a game, SHODAN.
- StarsKeeley HawesAlex DésertGreg EllisLara Croft searches for the mythical sword Excalibur, racing across the world against her presumed dead friend. The new Tomb Raider generation sure kicked off with a bang, because this title will be once again a lasting experience.
- DirectorChris MillerStarsJulian BreddyKen TurnerDominic JeffreyA first-person shooter featuring three separate story lines for each of the factions; Aliens, Colonial Marines, and Predators. Unlike later titles the three campaigns are unrelated and independent of each other. It's always fun to play, as it emulates the atmosphere of the movies effectively (mainly that of Aliens). It's a perfection of the Atari Jaguar game with the same name, and has a legacy which spawned a sequel just as good, and a remake(?) that sucks.
- DirectorNathan HendricksonCraig HubbardWilliam WestwaterStarsTodd LiceaJock BlaneyJohn ArmstrongA team of scientists have tampered in a realm of space that was to remain untouched. Guarded by a squadron of mercenaries, they find themselves in the middle of a galactic war between aliens and a species known as 'Predators.'Same as the previous one. This direct sequel creates a tense atmosphere, that's not as good as the first game's, but improves the gameplay, so it sort of compensates. I still can't tell which one I like better. Primal Hunt (the expansion) is fun, but it's definitely not as good as these 2 games.
- StarsThomas JaneBob JolesDarryl KuryloFrank Castle's war on crime has him face the mafia, the Russian mob and the Yakuza as well as his famous archenemies from The Punisher comics. Along the way, he gets to briefly team up with some of his S.H.I.E.L.D. allies.Gives the Punisher a totally fitting look, and the gameplay reflects the original character from the comics. This anti-hero game features the right amount of violence; not over the top, and not absent.
- DirectorTim LongoStarsTemuera MorrisonAndrew ChaikinRaphael SbargeYou play a Republic clone commando who leads an elite strike team in the Clone Wars.Well, this is another kinda different Star Wars, where you play as a leader of a clone squad. It's not very original, as in too similar to Halo in gameplay, but overall it's just a must play for the dialogues and the squad system.
- DirectorMichel AncelStarsJodi ForrestDavid GasmanRobert BurnsOn the small island civilization of Hillys, the DomZ creatures are a ruthless alien race which have invaded the Hillyan people. The government has set up the Alpha Section, which is a society "devoted to the safety of Hillys".Not an overly original game, and it's aimed at a younger audience. Still, the atmosphere is lovely and the gameworld is a nice place to visit each time playing it.
- StarsJudith GibbinsNathan McCreeSimon GreenallOn her third adventure, Lara Croft goes on a world-spanning quest to retrieve artifacts that are pieces of the meteorite that once wiped out the dinosaurs. Once completed, the meteorite could be the key to gain life-giving powers. Not a huge step forward from the original, but still a blast to play. So many different environments and enemies will make it really feel like an adventure. It is also kind of stupid, but the cheese factor just helps this title.
- DirectorShinji MikamiKuniomi MatsushitaStarsPaul MercierCarolyn LawrenceRino RomanoSix years after the events in Raccoon City, Leon Kennedy, now a federal agent, is sent to a rural part of Spain to rescue the U.S. President's kidnapped daughter, Ashley Graham from a sinister cult."RESIDENT EVIL 4" - in case the title was not obvious. It introduced a great inventory system, and turned the series into a more action-oriented horror game, rather than survival horror. And you know what? I ain't complaining.
- DirectorDouglas CarriganStarsEarl BoenCorey BurtonClaudia ChristianA group of adventurers are in the search of the lost city of Atlantis.A simple game that's not standing out from the crowd of action adventure platformers. Only give it a 10 because it was fun to play as a kid, and it was also fun to replay as an adult. Nothing original and extraordinary, but an example of something done just right.
- StarsBjorn LynneAllister BrimbleTom EastwoodSequel to the artillery tactical game Worms. Control an army of worms in combat using a collection of eclectic weaponry such as bazookas, dynamite, grenades, cluster bombs, homing missiles, banana bombs and the holy hand grenade. Some radical changes since the first generation of Worms meant radical changes in the quality of games. After this one though, none of the titles came close to be as enjoyable.
- StarsTony HawkSteve CaballeroKareem CampbellPlay as a professional skater or create your own and skate around different maps. From foundries to airports, all you need to do is complete your goals. This Tony Hawk game was the best way to spend our sunday afternoons with my friends back in the last years of elementary school.
- StarsPhilip TanziniJennifer HaleJason MarsdenYou play a young Jedi Academy student who must help stop an evil plot by Dark Jedi to collect and use Dark Side energy for their own ends.Only include this for its multiplayer, this is basically the only multiplayer game I play on a regular basis, and I did it for a long time now. I even joined a clan called Jedi Phoenix (look for us if you want a fun match), partially because the gameplay always brings me back to it, so it's better to hang with people I know. Anyways, the singleplayer campaign is mediocre, but the saber and force system is extended, which means a lot regarding multiplayer. If you want the singleplayer experience, go play Jedi Outcast instead.
