- DirectorJames BobinStarsAmy AdamsJason SegelChris CooperA Muppet fanatic with some help from his 2 human compatriots must regroup the Muppet gang to stop an avaricious oil mogul from taking down one of their precious life-longing treasures.Truly a colorful and funny experince that has filled me with joy, The Green felt one know as Kermit and his freinds are able to creature somthing new and fresh based off how long they were of our screens prior to the this piciture.
- DirectorJosh TrankStarsDane DeHaanAlex RussellMichael B. JordanThree high school friends gain superpowers after making an incredible discovery underground. Soon they find their lives spinning out of control and their bond tested as they embrace their darker sides.Mind-blowing and plot-filled even for a found-footage picture of it's kind, Chronicle ditches scary woods and a rampaging beastie for somthing even better: Telekentic abilities that give a new meaning to the fun boys like to partake in which involves annoying bystanders and harrasing women! It's all a good time untill the one with the camera goes compeleatly do-hickkey and not in a good way. Needless too say, I actally beleived what I was seeing. Best of all unlike it's predessesors it actually has a plot of some sort rather than just being an eye-candy visual film-montage that's all crashes
and screams never mind substance.
It also benefits from it's plot line involving teen angst massively and while it doesn't break new super ground at least it does somthing for found footage. - DirectorAndrew StantonStarsTaylor KitschLynn CollinsWillem DafoeTransported to Barsoom, a Civil War vet discovers a barren planet seemingly inhabited by 12-foot tall barbarians. Finding himself prisoner of these creatures, he escapes, only to encounter Woola and a princess in desperate need of a savior.Despite bad publicity and hateful critics who bashed this film raw, John Carter was better than I thought it was gonna be. It's not on the levels of Avatar (One of the films it ironically and Inadvertatley founded) however the visuals were impressive, Comedy, Drama and Adventure were well blended and the acting is well-concived for a film of it's satuts. I think this should have gotten better pupblicity before release, It just shows shows how judgemental people are of covers, not bothering to look at the contents.
- DirectorGary RossStarsJennifer LawrenceJosh HutchersonLiam HemsworthKatniss Everdeen voluntarily takes her younger sister's place in the Hunger Games: a televised competition in which two teenagers from each of the twelve Districts of Panem are chosen at random to fight to the death. Some details from the orgional book are either alterd or left out completely. However the Hunger Games is able to carry the amazing emotional weight of it's source material and it's duty to concive the next major franchise with little trouble. Even during it's light moments of comic relief it never fails to get it's message across and has the best daioluge in a film to me since the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
- DirectorPeter LordJeff NewittStarsHugh GrantSalma HayekJeremy PivenPirate Captain sets out on a mission to defeat his rivals Black Bellamy and Cutlass Liz for the Pirate of the year Award. The quest takes Captain and his crew from the shores of Blood Island to the foggy streets of Victorian London. The Pirates is amazing in every possible way! It's got the gags both verbal and Visual, the casting is wonderful and it really does try some new things that previuos Aardman outings haven't even botherd to touch before. It just goes to show you can trust Aardman with anyting they want to make. Just like Pixar! Although there were the slip-ups with Cars 2 and Flushed Away along the way. Just check the ratings on Rotten Tomatoes...
- DirectorJoss WhedonStarsRobert Downey Jr.Chris EvansScarlett JohanssonEarth's mightiest heroes must come together and learn to fight as a team if they are going to stop the mischievous Loki and his alien army from enslaving humanity. This is a rare example of an event that lives up to it's hype, It is entertainment on a unpredicted level! Even if it isn't perfect 'Avengers breaks no promises, absoultly no of em!
- DirectorRidley ScottStarsNoomi RapaceLogan Marshall-GreenMichael FassbenderFollowing clues to the origin of mankind, a team finds a structure on a distant moon, but they soon realize they are not alone. While he does acheive his goal of Scaring the living Sugar Honey Iced Tea out of us like he promised, Ridely Scott could have at least answerd all his questions and not saved them for sequel. Still Fassbender, Visual Splendour and alien monsters makes Prometheus a fullfuling watch.
- DirectorMarc WebbStarsAndrew GarfieldEmma StoneRhys IfansAfter Peter Parker is bitten by a genetically altered spider, he gains newfound, spider-like powers and ventures out to save the city from the machinations of a mysterious reptilian foe.
- DirectorChristopher NolanStarsChristian BaleTom HardyAnne HathawayEight years after the Joker's reign of chaos, Batman is coerced out of exile with the assistance of the mysterious Selina Kyle in order to defend Gotham City from the vicious guerrilla terrorist Bane.
