- DirectorMartin ScorseseStarsLeonardo DiCaprioMatt DamonJack NicholsonAn undercover cop and a mole in the police attempt to identify each other while infiltrating an Irish gang in South Boston.Pointless movie made by the most overrated director in the history of film, Martin Scorsese.
- DirectorJames CameronStarsSam WorthingtonZoe SaldanaSigourney WeaverA paraplegic Marine dispatched to the moon Pandora on a unique mission becomes torn between following his orders and protecting the world he feels is his home. The visuals were okay, I guess. The story was awful. For all of the time they put into the graphics I would have thought that they would put more time into the story line.
- DirectorMartin ScorseseStarsRobert De NiroRay LiottaJoe PesciThe story of Henry Hill and his life in the mafia, covering his relationship with his wife Karen and his mob partners Jimmy Conway and Tommy DeVito. Why does Hollywood think that promoting the mob lifestyle is valid entertainment? In what way is this entertainment? What lessons are learned from this movie? What message does this movie send?
- DirectorQuentin TarantinoStarsJohn TravoltaUma ThurmanSamuel L. JacksonThe lives of two mob hitmen, a boxer, a gangster and his wife, and a pair of diner bandits intertwine in four tales of violence and redemption.Sure sure this movie was very original but this is just a group of criminals committing violent acts against another group of criminals. Oh gee how enjoyable.
- DirectorRoman PolanskiStarsAdrien BrodyThomas KretschmannFrank FinlayDuring WWII, acclaimed Polish musician Wladyslaw faces various struggles as he loses contact with his family. As the situation worsens, he hides in the ruins of Warsaw in order to survive.Seriously, I thought Benjamin Button was boring.
Okay so we have a pianist who is captured by the Nazis....ok great. Next he plays the piano.....ok great, I guess if that's how he wants to cope fine. Next he......wait....he plays the piano again?
Ok fine, the piano is his coping mechanism to get him through this horrible event he is experiencing. Certainly, without a doubt, he is going to take action and fight!!!!
Oh wait, more piano followed again by the piano. So let me get this straight, this movie is exactly what the title says it is.....he is a pianist and he plays the piano while captured by the nazis. So save your time and buy some music on iTunes. - DirectorStanley KubrickStarsMatthew ModineR. Lee ErmeyVincent D'OnofrioA pragmatic U.S. Marine observes the dehumanizing effects the Vietnam War has on his fellow recruits from their brutal boot camp training to the bloody street fighting in Hue.The only question to ask yourself when watching this movie is "how does the infamous Stanley Kubrick develop the characters in this move." The answer: he doesn't.
Right, so no character development......hmmmm.....last time I checked, and yes it was recently, character development is kinda important is good storytelling. - DirectorRoger AllersRob MinkoffStarsMatthew BroderickJeremy IronsJames Earl JonesLion prince Simba and his father are targeted by his bitter uncle, who wants to ascend the throne himself. The main problem with the Lion King is that everything is so predictable. Yes, that can be said about most movies, but absolutely nothing in this movie is original.
- DirectorJoel CoenEthan CoenStarsJeff BridgesJohn GoodmanJulianne MooreJeff "The Dude" Lebowski, mistaken for a millionaire of the same name, seeks restitution for his ruined rug and enlists his bowling buddies to help get it.I fear for our society that this movie is so highly regarded on IMDB. The formula for this movie is:
#1 Take some unemployed-unmotivated-broke-bums
#2 Add in some very odd coincidences to pretend to make a "story line"
#3 mix in a whole lot, an insane amount, an incredible overflow of cussing and voila....you too can make a piece of trash movie about absolutely nothing that is neither funny nor entertaining. - DirectorBrian De PalmaStarsAl PacinoMichelle PfeifferSteven BauerIn 1980 Miami, a determined Cuban immigrant takes over a drug cartel and succumbs to greed.Another pointless movie from Hollywood. Gee, you know what I would like to know more about? I would really like to know more about a worthless piece of trash drug dealer in Miami and how he grew from a small time drug dealer to a big time drug dealer by chopping people up in a bathtub! Oh golly, let me stop what I am doing and go rent this incredible piece of crap right now!
