Men Getting Whumped
Films where men get whumped on - abducted, tied up, beaten, abused, tortured, you name it. And not just for a scene or two, but where the whump is an integral part of the film's plot. This is by no means a complete list. Just something I'm working on making at the moment.

- DirectorTony PiccirilloStarsJames MarsdenScott SpeedmanSofía VergaraTom (Speedman) and Dan's (Marsden) one-night stand turns into an intense power-play between captor and captive.LOVE this movie. James Marsden is absolutely delicious and a definite favorite of mine, so seeing him spend practically the entire film bound with handcuffs and ropes is a wonderful treat. He also gets gagged with tape several times - and I love the way he fights it and looks so furious and indignant when gagged. Yes, please! He does a wonderful job in this role, running the gamut from anger to vulnerability and everything in between - and selling every moment of it. Wonderful!
Scott Speedman is great as the villain here. He is totally believable as a man who has come more than a little unhinged at the moment - but is ultimately a normal guy in a terrible place in his life. He walks the fine line between sympathetic loser and unpredictable psycho with ease - and it makes the movie endlessly entertaining. I really, really enjoyed this one. Kept me on the edge of my seat, made me feel for the characters, AND satisfied my need for whump! - DirectorStanley KubrickStarsMalcolm McDowellPatrick MageeMichael BatesIn the future, a sadistic gang leader is imprisoned and volunteers for a conduct-aversion experiment, but it doesn't go as planned.A lot is said about the violence in this film, particularly in regards to the assaults, rapes and murder committed by the main character in the first half hour of the film. However, in the last half+ of the film, that same main character is subjected to all kinds of nastiness, himself: he's punched, spit on, handcuffed, strip searched, imprisoned, straitjacketed, tortured, brainwashed, humiliated for an audience, beaten, nearly drowned, carried, drugged, tortured again, driven to suicide, hospitalized in a nearly full body cast, hand-fed... and probably some other things I've forgotten. Whew. Definitely one for this list. Malcolm McDowell does a good job in the whole film, and it's certainly a performance for the ages in a general sense, though I'm not sure if his performance specifically as a whumpee necessarily stood out. It was certainly good, and he definitely sold the fear, sickness and suffering of his character, but it just didn't GRAB me, if you know what I mean ;)
There's too many "villains" in this film to really mention any of them by name or critique their performances as such. Poor Alex pretty much gets it from everyone in the film at some point, which is wonderful - but also keeps the viewer from associating any one particular character as the "instigator" in what happens to him. - DirectorJason BourqueStarsJosie BissettSarah GreyRichard HarmonWhen a boy goes missing, clues lead his sister and mother to believe their asocial neighbor was involved in the abduction; forcing them to take the law into their own hands. This one's a Lifetime Movie, so there's nothing too graphic in it, but Richard Harmon's character gets locked (nearly naked) in a dog cage for about a half hour or so of the film, so it's definitely worth checking out. He looks good in there, too - and he does a great job playing an innocent and scared young man ;)
Our 'villains' in this scenario are Josie Bissett and Sarah Grey, who do well as the hard-nosed mother and the easily-duped daughter (respectively) who capture Richard's character and try to force the truth of what happened to their son/brother out of him. - DirectorLucy PhillipsGlen ScantleburyStarsTrevor MorganTessa FerrerJelly HowieJessica and Dave along with three other young couples are kidnapped in Griffith Park by unseen Abductors and must fight to escape certain death only to discover the world will never be the same. This one's a great flick for fans of couples getting whumped together. The abduction happens very early in the film (like, 5 minutes in) and they stay in captivity until nearly the end (I won't say anything more about the end). There's nothing overly graphic, but lots of peril and angst over each other and over their captivity. David Morgan is the male of the couple, and he does a good job here as our main male whumpee - although it's really more of an all-around whump-fest than something that's focused on one specific victim. Again, couples/group whump enthusiasts, watch this one!
The villains in this film are all good at the roles they play. The majority of the film is spent wondering just who they are and what they want - so I really can't say much about them without ruining what makes the film fun. Overall, this was an interesting and whumpy film that I enjoyed watching. - DirectorMichael BayStarsAerosmithIsabelle AubinOdile CorsoAerosmith performs in the music video "Falling in Love (Is Hard on the Knees)" from the album "Nine Lives" recorded for Columbia Records. Steven Tyler sings and the band plays in a theater decorated in black. Video clips of couples dysfunctional relationships and women dressed as brides, nurses, dominatrices, and princesses. This music video features lots of playful whump and bondage throughout the entire clip, starting with a guy in a fiberglass tank with his tongue clamped by a leash being held by a domme while he grovels to her. Then we have another guy suspended in full traction in a hospital scene, another guy getting smacked by his bride, and a guy swinging in a cage. Combine all this with supermodels in control, a good song and the band writhing around in straitjackets and you have yourself one damn fine music video.
- DirectorJohn Mark RobinsonStarsZach GalliganTeri HatcherLara HarrisLinda's boyfriend Brian loves checking out other women, so her best friends Kim and Sharon convince her that the three of them kidnap him and torture him until he learns his lesson. For a comedy, the bondage is surprisingly good in this. Zach Galligan spends a good portion of the movie tied up and "tortured" (nothing serious, though) by his (ex-)girlfriend and her two roommates. Not much whump (the blood left by the shaving scene is the fakest thing ever), but he does struggle to get free, beg and get frustrated. Very nice to watch ;)
The three ladies responsible for his predicament aren't very frightening, but they do a solid job in their roles. Teri Hatcher is sort of non-descript as the girlfriend, but Lara Harris is delightful as the ball-busting friend who ends up falling for a cop, and Tracy Griffith is awesome as the ditzy friend. I also loved Abel Folk as Max. He's not one of the instigators, but his character is just really likable. Overall, this is a super cute little 90's comedy where everybody ends up happy... and we get a bunch of bondage to boot ;) - DirectorAlex GravesStarsJoel KinnamanJames PurefoyMartha HigaredaTortured by his captor, Kovacs taps into his Envoy training to survive. Ortega springs a surprise on her family for Día de los Muertos. This episode finds Takeshi Kovacs (both versions!) getting whumped throughout the entire episode in a virtual environment. As a result, the torture is pretty hardcore - but without any permanent effects. Nice! Joel Kinnaman's Kovacs gets the main brunt of the torment, as he's tortured for information (and I think for fun, let's be real) by a bad guy played by Tahmoh Penikett, who happens to be a favorite of mine :) He gets pretty much everything thrown at him in these scenes - cuts, fire, blowtorches, dismemberment, you name it - and they go on through most of the episode. Kinnaman does a great job as the whumpee of these scenes - his fear, pain and struggles are all very believable.
There are other scenes interspersed, of course - some of which are of Will Yun Lee's Kovacs in a training program, where he's chained up, cut and beaten by his trainer (and love interest), played by Renée Elise Goldsberry. The sexual tension in those scenes is off the charts, and it culminates in a steamy kiss - very hot stuff. Nice! - DirectorMichael PolishStarsKate BosworthWes BentleyOlivia Rose KeeganA misery-esque tale of a man who wakes up in bed after an accident, suffering from memory loss. He begins to suspect that his wife isn't really his real wife and soon finds himself a prisoner in the house. This film has some awful reviews, but I actually really liked it. Wes Bentley is a delicious whumpee - starting out the film injured and weak, then eventually getting strapped to beds and chairs and electro-shocked and beaten and all kinds of things. Maybe it's because the "whump" alone helped to keep my interest throughout, I didn't find this movie boring or tedious at all (as others have said). It kept me guessing and wondering what was up through the whole thing - and the ending didn't disappoint.
Kate Bosworth was wonderfully chilling and twisted throughout, giving an understated and subtle performance of a woman who has lost her freaking mind. Dismembering dead bodies with a bone saw whilst wearing a negligee and fur coat? That's like the epitome of psycho chic, and it will be hard for anyone to top that in my book. - DirectorJonah LoopStarsSamuel L. JacksonKellan LutzJohnny MessnerDavid Lord finds himself forced into the savage world of a modern gladiatorial arena, where men fight to the death for the entertainment of the online masses. Our whumpee in this film is played by Kellan Lutz. He does a brilliant job of it, being chock full of fury and defiance - and just the right amount of vulnerability when he's been pushed a little too far. This flick is like a bingo card of whump tropes for us to enjoy: abduction, imprisonment, torture (auditory, waterboarding, brain washing), hunger, bondage (chains, zip ties, a muzzle, a straight jacket, cells), and, of course, grievous bodily harm followed by amateur first aid delivered by a beautiful lady who eventually falls in love with him. Whew! Goodness. Daniel Dae Kim is also in this film and gets whumped a bit, himself - he's imprisoned, gets sliced up in a fight, gets dealt some major emotional whump, and dies (oops).
The villains in this one are kind of non-descript, aside from one of them being played by Samuel L. Jackson. I mean, they're nuts and evil and all that stuff - but most of the real damage is done by the nameless, faceless opponents Kellan's character fights. The villains are, of course, the bad guys pulling the strings behind everything, but they rarely deliver the actual whump themselves. - DirectorJonathan MossekStarsAndie MacDowellCary ElwesFrank WhaleyIn this psychological thriller full of shocking twists, what begins as an average day for Ethan (Elwes) takes a dangerous turn when he's kidnapped and held hostage in his New York apartment by three assailants. This is a really great film that keeps you on the edge of your seat all the way to the end. And, of course, since it's on this list, there's plenty of whump in it, as well. Cary Elwes is our honorable whumpee in this film, and he gets it really good - he spends most of the film bloody and duct-taped up, and also finds himself stuck in a chained up fridge, hung from a noose, threatened with a knife, forced to hobble barefoot over broken glass... and all kinds of other goodies. Mind you, he's older and heavier than he was in his heyday, but he's still a good-looking man and I ain't complainin' ;) However, I do find his American accent unappealing, and somehow higher pitched than his normal voice, which is also annoying. Eh, small quibble.
Our villains in this one are a mixed bag. Andie MacDowell is equal parts chilling and sympathetic as the widow of the man they think Cary's character murdered. Matt Dallas starts out as the unhinged bad guy but somehow evolves into the more humane one somehow (?), and Frank Whaley is the one who starts out seeming cool, calm and collected and turns out to be the most *beep* crazy of them all. Overall, it's a thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat AND gives some top notch whump, so I highly recommend it! - DirectorTed PostStarsAnjanette ComerRuth RomanMarianna HillA social worker, still reeling from the loss of her architect husband, investigates the eccentric, psychedelic Wadsworth Family, consisting of a mother, two daughters, and an adult son with the apparent mental capacity of an infant. So, technically, the character of Baby (played as well as one could hope for by David Mooney) is 'whumped' throughout the entire film, as his mother and older sisters have kept him as a baby for his entire life. He doesn't walk, talk, or do anything for himself. He's not even potty trained. As his caseworker says at one point, trapping a fully grown man in the life of an infant is a kind of torture.
However, the film only rarely presents it as such. There's one scene where Baby is subjected to a vicious attack with a cattle prod (delivered by the sister played by Susanne Zenor) while she repeatedly 'trains' him that "Baby doesn't stand! Baby doesn't talk!" which certainly shows us the violence and brainwashing he's suffered through to cause him to be in the state he's in - but for nearly the entire rest of the film, his predicament is not presented as something he's really suffering with. He seems, well, blissfully ignorant of just how mistreated he is, which makes the 'whump' aspect negligible.
In short, this one's not recommended for whump fans at all, though it's certainly worth a single viewing just so you can say you've seen this truly bizarre cult classic. - DirectorChuck VincentStarsGeorgina SpelvinRandy SpearsLinda BlairArtist who lives in an old mansion imagines that her dead husband has been reincarnated as her son.I went into this one expecting to be disappointed, since it's obviously an old B-movie and those generally tend to disappoint. However, the whump is actually quite nice, even if the movie itself isn't. It starts out slow for the first half, but Randy Spears (billed as Gregory Patrick here) spends the entire last half of the movie in various states of undress, bondage and peril. He gets tied up, gagged, smacked around, tortured a bit, gagged some more, raped by his mother, dragged around by a rope leash... and he watches helplessly as the psycho goes after his wife and, later, his adoptive parents. I'd say Mr. Spears (Mr. Patrick?) does a decent job of selling the whump for us. I mean, it's not great, and he has some lame dialogue (the few times he's allowed to speak, that is - he's gagged a LOT, yum), but he does whimper, whine, cry and stumble around like a champ. AND he's pretty cute. We'll give him an A for effort.
Georgina Spelvin (billed as Ruth Raymond - what's up with all the pseudonyms in here?) is kinda unintentionally hilarious as the crazy biological mother. She definitely overacts every single scene she's in, but I found her fun to watch. I mean, I'll be honest - this is a bad movie and I only watched it for the whump, but her crazy antics WERE also amusing.
Overall, if bad movies make you itch, fast-forward til about 55 minutes in for the whumpy half. If you're a bit more forgiving and have time to kill on a bad flick, go ahead and watch the whole thing. Also, make note of the ridiculously long slo-mo scene just before the whump starts. I would think it should be illegal to have a slo-mo scene that long, lol. - DirectorPhilippe HaïmStarsJean RochefortGuillaume CanetClaire KeimA mad but cunning old man imprisons a young man in his apartment to be his friend.Brilliant film! Our whumpee here is Guillaume Canet, who is simply adorable and is SO enjoyable through this whole film. He gets knocked out, handcuffed, gagged, fire extinguishered (haha), hogtied, tied up in bed, chained and imprisoned... along with all kinds of delicious angst, anger and crying, all played to perfection by Mr. Canet here.
Our villain is the late Jean Rochefort, who is a genius here and just a sheer delight to watch as the completely unhinged Mr. Clement. What a talent that man was. This film is an absolute must see for anyone who likes men in peril or abduction flicks. It's very good. - DirectorChew BarkerStarsGuy EdmondsJohn BoxerPeter McAllumGeorge is a haunted man. He enters Bedlam Hospital for a guaranteed recovery, but it is a world darker than even his demons could conjure. Once, he fought for sanity, now he fights to survive. Welcome to Bedlam. This is a strange little film about a guy who checks himself into the asylum run by, you know, the "ex"-nazi psychiatrist he's gone to for help with his schizophrenia. Like, that's just not a good idea, dude. Maybe find yourself a doctor who's, you know, NOT a nazi. Anyway, this film is basically a string of torturous old-timey medical procedures (and straight-out violent punishments) being performed on our hapless male lead, played by Guy Edmonds, along with a couple other patients. Folks who like mental hospital whump will find this film absolutely delightful, though it's surprisingly short on straitjacket whump. How does that even happen?
Don't be dissuaded by the opening scene's visceral gore - it's far worse than anything else in the film, and I made it through the whole film with only a couple of winces and brief glances away. Also, don't let the "based on real events" nonsense ruin your fun, either. It's not any real person's tragic story or anything like that. You'll understand why that blurb's in the beginning when you get to the end.
Guy Edmonds does a great job here, really selling the pain and fear and mental illness inherent in this role, and looking delicious even when suffering. The actors playing Dr. Black and the two orderlies are very good at what they're doing - coming off as chilling and sadistic in all the right ways, but not stealing the focus from the atrocities themselves. I really enjoyed Cassandra Swaby and Gary Boulter as fellow patients, as well. Mr. Boulter wears a straitjacket through the whole film, for those into that sort of thing, but it's never buckled up. Whyyyy? - DirectorChristopher SpencerStarsKeith DavidAdrian SchillerPaul BrightwellJesus is brought before Pilate and is sentenced to die by the Roman crucifixion. A large number of people followed Him, including women who mourned and wailed for Him. Unable to carry the cross bar, Simon of Cyrene was put upon to carry it to Golgotha, where He is crucified for all to see. When He commends His Spirit to God, the sun was darkened and the earth quakes as His mother stands by.
- DirectorDylan BankStarsRobert LoggiaCharles DurningTony ToddAn undercover journalist travels to small-town Mansionville attempting to expose its dark secrets. He quickly discovers the town is home to a cult of five twisted sisters that capture men for a sadistic yearly ritual. This one's a super low budget bizarro film that's a mix of cheese, torture porn and... porn porn? But it's enjoyable in its own way, if you go into it knowing what to expect and not taking it remotely seriously. Within the first few minutes, you're treated to a shot of Santa Claus's dick as he's taking a leak - and it's candy cane striped, with ornaments for balls and tinsel for pubic hair. That's the tone of the film right in a nutshell.
As for the actual whump... Well, there's four guys (technically five, but one of them bites the bullet early on) abducted and bound in a theater, where they're subjected to all kinds of torture and sexual assault by five buxom ladies in lingerie. I mean, there's a lot to enjoy here, if sexual whump and borderline pornography doesn't bother you. If they DO bother you, then you should obviously steer clear of this. Oh, and seeing as the ladies' goal is to murder all of these men after having their fun with them, if deadly whump is a big no-no for you, you might also want to pass on this one. I'll admit that I didn't care for the guy they killed off right away, but the other four victims are very enjoyable to watch. The final murder is a bit much, in my opinion, but meh.
The villains are... Well, they act with the skill of, uh, porn stars, really. But that's part of the charm of the film, and I'm not even sure if they're purposely acting that way or just aren't good actresses. I'd have to see them in something else to really know.
Also, what's up with the God/Jesus/Santa/etc subplot? And what the heck are Robert Loggia and Tony Todd doing in this? There's no end to the weirdness of this film and I love that about it. WTF, indeed. - DirectorDean FrancisStarsMatt LevettTom O'SullivanAnthony PhelanBullying is taken to unimaginable extremes when a student is raped at an exclusive private boys school. This short film is really just a quick shower room gang rape (well, sodomy anyway) scene in a boys' private school (but the actors are nowhere near school aged, don't be alarmed) with a weird ending slapped on for good measure. Not really much to say about it, as there's not really much here and it comes off a little... weird. And I say that as someone who's making an IMDB list like this, so... Yeah. Weird.
- DirectorGabe TorresStarsStephen DorffChyler LeighJR BourneA Secret Service agent is held captive in the trunk of a car and endures mental and physical torture as terrorists attempt to extract information for their plot against the President of the United States.GREAT movie! Lots of angst and panic and peril all in a tense, claustrophobic atmosphere. The whole movie is gold and Stephen Dorff turns in an excellent performance as our imperiled whumpee. The film is entirely him in a fiberglass case inside a car trunk, but he manages to keep your attention through the whole film - and his pain, rage, fear and determination are such a delight to watch.
His unseen assailants are all the more intimidating for the fact that you can only see the glimpses of them that he sees - a hand here, a voice there. Overall, this one's a must see for folks who enjoy watching men in peril. - DirectorNash EdgertonStarsBrandon FlowersCharlize TheronGosh, this music video is great. Brandon Flowers spends the whole video kidnapped, trussed up, roughed up... and getting rescued by his lady love (who happens to be played by the gorgeous Charlize Theron, by the way, who is just bad ass in this). Over and over and over again, abducted, whumped, rescued... like a whump-lover's daydreams brought to vivid technicolor reality and set to a pretty darn good song. My only complaint about this one is IT'S TOO DARN SHORT. I could watch a couple hours of this stuff, EASY.
- DirectorRodrigo CortésStarsRyan ReynoldsJosé Luis García-PérezRobert PatersonPaul is a U.S. truck driver working in Iraq. After an attack by a group of Iraqis he wakes to find he is buried alive inside a coffin. With only a lighter and a cell phone it's a race against time to escape this claustrophobic death trap.Absolutely brilliant film. It's just Ryan Reynolds in a coffin underground, but he carries the entire movie beautifully and delivers a thrill ride from start to finish. Bravo, Ryan Reynolds! Acting accolades aside, this film is also great for whumpers, as Ryan's character spends literally the entire film in a state of panic as he tries desperately to save his own life. Fans of buried alive whump will find this film positively delightful :D
We never see his captors, only hear one of their voices over the cell phone. Meh. They're annoying, more than anything, but I think we're not meant to be particularly impressed by them or their bullying of random Americans who cross their paths... so I feel it's appropriate that they're more annoying than anything else. The snake is a bit much, really, and over-acted it's one scene.
-SPOILER ALERT- If it's necessary for your whumpees to survive their ordeals, you might not want to hop aboard this particular train, as this one does end in death. However, the film makes a poignant point about the value of life and how the cogs and wheels of governments and big business seldom see (or care about) the individual lives at risk (or lost) in the name of making a buck or saving their own asses. - DirectorJasmine Yuen CarrucanStarsTravis McMahonDavid LyonsBryan BrownA man is kidnapped from his city home in the quiet hours of the night and, the kidnapper, John Kelly, embarks on a journey into the Australian Outback towards the place where his hostage is due for delivery. As time and distance roll by, the strength and endurance of both men will be tested to the very end. This movie's not very heavy on the injuries, but it's got some lovely bondage in it. David Lyons spends nearly the entire movie tied up, taped up, tethered to a car and even gagged - and he looks marvelous doing all of it, I must say. The acting's good, and when he struggles to free himself or just out of sheer frustration, it's believable. His character is also just... likable. We never find out what he's done to get himself in this predicament, but it sure is fun to watch him in it!
Our "villain" in this flick is played by Travis McMahon and he's also a likable guy - which makes the whole movie's premise interesting. I spent the whole movie thinking he'd buried a dead guy in the desert in the beginning of the film, but he hadn't. He buried a gas can and moved Eli from the trunk to the backseat.
Overall, had some slow parts... but I liked it. - DirectorFabrice du WelzStarsLaurent LucasBrigitte LahaieGigi CoursignyMarc, a traveling entertainer, is on his way home for Christmas when his van breaks down in the middle of a jerkwater town with some strange inhabitants. What a weird movie this is. Laurent Lucas is our whumpee in this film, and while it takes awhile to get going, he sure does get whumped. He gets knocked out, put in women's clothing, tied up, shaved (half of his head), chased through the woods, caught in a trap, crucified, and ultimately raped. NOT a good time for the poor guy. Unfortunately, his character, while a delight to watch in the first half of the film, seems to devolve into a useless lump of sobbing and wailing in the second half of the film. Yes, we get that he's suffering... but it's almost like the actual CHARACTER of "Marc Stevens" got demoted from a cohesive human being into a piece of set dressing intended to illustrate how wild and crazy the motley crew of assorted villains in this film were.
Simply put, the ominous tone and slow burn of the first half of the film was absolutely excellent, keeping me on the edge of my seat for when things would go South and just who would be the villains and who might be "safe", and just what our poor, likable hero was going to be in for... but then it all too quickly devolved into some kind of literal freak show. It would've been better (as a film and as whump) if it had focused on the crazy innkeeper and his crazy son and their victim's plight and struggle for survival... instead of suspending all belief by throwing in a crazy tribe of zombie-dancing pig-screwing hillbilly lunatics who just so happen to have the same darn motivations and delusions as the first set of bad guys. But I guess that's why this film gets more comparisons to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and less to films like, say, Misery. I mean, it is what it aims to be, I guess. I mean, it makes sense that for every person who wants to see a victim's perilous adventures and struggle for survival, there'd be somebody else who just wants to watch some seriously weird people doing massively messed up things. - DirectorRyan PhillippeStarsRyan PhillippeIan BarfordStephen Louis GrushA fading Hollywood pretty-boy gets taken and brutalized in Louisiana by two local men with his total ruination at heart.Ryan Phillippe does a great job getting whumped in this one. He struggles, he squirms, he's equal parts scared and strong in all the right spots... Definitely a whumpy delight. He spends almost the whole movie chained in one way or another, gets beaten a bunch, has his hand mangled, gets knocked out a couple times... and almost gets raped.
The villains are excellent in this film. Stephen Louis Grush is brilliant, being the simple-minded sidekick to the main villain, and being unpredictable and strangely likable. His 'I just have to wait a few minutes' exchange with his captive is downright chilling. Ian Barford is great as the angry and violent man in charge. You really feel like he's a powder keg ready to go off and is capable of just about anything. Oh, and there's some crocodiles, too. Gotta represent for the crocs. - DirectorDavid Field and George BashaGeorge BashaDavid FieldStarsGeorge BashaRichard GreenBrian EllisonSent to prison because of manslaughter, Ray is challenged both physically and mentally by a sadistic prison boss.Hmm. This one's a prison movie and, as such, you kinda know what you're in for when you pop one of these in your player. Our whumpee here is George Basha, who is also the writer and director of the film. He does a decent job of suffering for the cameras... but overall, even though there's a lot of whump throughout this film, it's not enjoyable whump. For one thing, I just didn't find myself caring enough about the character of Ray to really FEEL invested in the whump he suffered. But the most important thing is that the whump is all done in a "glossed over" way. The danger is implied, then the camera focuses elsewhere... and we're left knowing he was beaten or given a swirly or even sodomized... but we were never SHOWN any of these things actually happening. It leaves you with a strange feeling of having just witnessed a lot of whump... but at the same time, not having seen a darn thing. Strange. However, for those who enjoy whump but shy away from gratuitous violence or gore, this movie might be a unique pleasure.
The actors portraying the villains of this film do a great job with their roles, I have to say - particularly David Field as the warden and Brian Ellison as the head guard. GEEZ! They do an A+ job of making you just REALLY hate these guys.
So overall... Don't watch it for the whump, but go for it if you like prison flicks and/or love watching frustratingly hateful bad guys. - DirectorGuy Norman BeeStarsMandy PatinkinThomas GibsonPaget BrewsterReid has been kidnapped, and the BAU's only things to profile are a house, a computer, and the live feed the kidnapper is sending to them.
