The Pinnacle of Korean Cinema! One of the Best Movies Ever Made...10/10
- DirectorBong Joon HoStarsSong Kang-hoKim Sang-kyungKim Roe-haIn a small Korean province in 1986, two detectives struggle with the case of multiple young women being found raped and murdered by an unknown culprit.A Near Perfect Film, Especially Acting and Cinematography. Some may find it too goofy at times but that's exactly the point, an Inexperienced Police Unit caught up in its Country's' First Serial Killer. Rich Atmosphere and Flawless Story Telling. You wont Find a Better Serial Killer Movie. Memories of Murder>Se7en. 10/10

Easily one of the most unique movies in years, Bong creates an entire world all within a tiny train circling the Earth. Extremely captivating, the movie has plenty of surprises to offer and doesn't let up once the revolution begins! Not to be missed! 10/10
- DirectorBong Joon HoStarsSong Kang-hoLee Sun-kyunCho Yeo-jeongGreed and class discrimination threaten the newly-formed symbiotic relationship between the wealthy Park family and the destitute Kim clan.8/10
- DirectorKim Jee-woonStarsLee Byung-hunChoi Min-sikJeon Gook-hwanA secret agent exacts revenge on a serial killer through a series of captures and releases.Black Humor at its Best. Pace is Perfect, Cinematography is Stunning. 9/10
- DirectorNa Hong-jinStarsKim Yoon-seokHa Jung-wooSeo Yeong-hieA disgraced ex-policeman who runs a small ring of prostitutes finds himself in a race against time when one of his women goes missing. One of the Best Mystery Movies I've Ever Seen. Finally a Movie that does not Waterdown its Ending like most Hollywood Films. The Film Coined the Term "Edge of Your Seat" 9/10
- DirectorLee Jeong-beomStarsWon BinKim Sae-ronKim Tae-hoonA quiet pawnshop keeper with a violent past takes on a drug-and-organ trafficking ring in hope of saving the child who is his only friend.Korean version of "Leon:The Professional". Phenomenal. 9/10
- DirectorBong Joon HoStarsKim Hye-jaWon BinJin GooA mother desperately searches for the killer who framed her son for a girl's horrific murder.Great Direction and Phenomenal Acting by the Led. Shows Just How Far a Mother Will Go To Save her Son. Great Mystery Film With a Bittersweet Ending. One of the Best. 9/10
- DirectorPark Chan-wookStarsNam-mi KangJeong-nam ChoiHye-Sook GoAfter being wrongfully imprisoned for thirteen years and having her child taken away from her, a woman seeks revenge through increasingly brutal means.Definitively more Focused Than Mr Vengeance, But Not Nearly as Mesmerizing as 'Oldboy'. Not Nearly as Grim as the Other two in the Vengeance Trilogy. Strong Lead and More Humor than the Previous Two. A Good Movie, But not Great. Story Line was not great but its Execution/Direction was Better than Mr Vengeance (More Intricate Story, But with Inferior Development/Storytelling) 8/10
- DirectorPark Chan-wookStarsLee Yeong-aeLee Byung-hunSong Kang-hoAfter a shooting incident at the North-South Korean border DMZ leaves two North Korean soldiers dead, a neutral Swiss and Swedish team investigates what actually happened.
- DirectorJung Doo HongKim Jee-woonStarsLee Byung-hunShin Min-aKim Yeong-cheolThings go wrong for a high ranking mobster when he doesn't follow his boss's orders.A Film that doesn't Glorify the Gangster life, but rather Shows what happens if you Betray it. Great Acting. The Type of Movie Where even the Slightest Amount of Light Shown in the Dark, is Still Consumed By the Dark. Another Top Work Revenge Movie by the Koreans. 8/10
- DirectorPark Hoon-jungStarsLee Jung-jaeChoi Min-sikHwang Jung-minAn undercover cop finds it difficult to play both a cop and a goon.Exactly what people are saying, a mix of "The Godfather & The Departed". Perhaps its downfall is it follows them too Closely. Good Movie, Great Cast. 8/10
- DirectorCheol-soo JangStarsSeo Yeong-hieJi Seong-wonMin-ho HwangA woman subject to mental, physical and sexual abuse on a remote island seeks a way out.Slow Burn for those without patience, but the End Does Pay Off. A Great film with High Emotions. 8/10
- DirectorKim Jee-woonStarsLim Soo-jungYum Jung-ahKim Kap-suAfter being institutionalized in a mental hospital, Su-mi reunites with her sister, Su-yeon, and they return to live at their country home. But strange events plague the house, leading to surprising revelations and a shocking conclusion. This movie is actually....Scary. Favorite Asian Horror Film. 8/10
- DirectorPark Chan-wookStarsSong Kang-hoShin Ha-kyunBae DoonaA recently laid off factory worker kidnaps his former boss' friend's daughter, hoping to use the ransom money to pay for his sister's kidney transplant.Slightly Let Down, having first seen Oldboy(Same Director) But still unique Story Line. 8/10
- DirectorBong Joon HoStarsSong Kang-hoByun Hee-BongPark Hae-ilA monster emerges from Seoul's Han River and begins attacking people. One victim's loving family does what it can to rescue her from its clutches.A Monster movie with a Heart. Main character very enjoyable! Still, was not as enjoyable as I wanted it to be. Good Black Humor Though! 7/10
- DirectorKim Jee-woonStarsLee Byung-hunSong Kang-hoGong YooKorean resistance fighters smuggle explosives to destroy facilities controlled by Japanese forces in this period action thriller.7/10
- DirectorYeon Sang-hoStarsGong YooJung Yu-miMa Dong-seokWhile a zombie virus breaks out in South Korea, passengers struggle to survive on the train from Seoul to Busan.7/10
- DirectorJung HuhStarsSon Hyeon-juMoon Jeong-HeeJeon Mi-seonA missing brother. Hide and seeks codes. A shocking truth for two different families and the struggle to save their families from someone who is already living inside their house. This is a plenty surprise, plenty of creepy atmosphere to carry over! The movies does a great job building tension and maintaining it, as well as slowly revealing clues over time. The only problem with the movie is its ending (unfortunately), where it goes on a bit too long that it grows tiresome. Other than that, there are plenty of twists and red herrings to keep you guessing. 8/10
- DirectorJung Byung-gilStarsJeong Jae-yeongPark Shi-hooJung Hae-kyunLee Du-Seok publishes an autobiography describing murders he committed after the statute of limitations expires. A detective and one of the victim's mothers search for the author while an anonymous person claims to be the real killer.Interesting movie, brought down by unnecessary use of CGI and Exaggerated Action. It also has a problem balancing Some Goofiness vs the Seriousness it wants to be had. The Main Character is extremely unlikable, which Makes It Hard to Root For Him Since he is the Main Character(The Hero). The film starts off phenomenal then slowly gets lost with poor direction/Exaggeration. 7/10
- DirectorHun JangStarsSo Ji-seobKo Chang-seokJang Hie-jinA gangster who wants to be an actor; an actor more gangster than anything. Here their paths and lives begin to cross.More of a Drama than anything else, its a movie that focuses on Character development. It feels as though there are quite a few loose ends by the time the movie ends. Very Interesting Story Here. 7/10
- DirectorPark Chan-wookStarsSong Kang-hoKim Ok-binChoi Hee-jinThrough a failed medical experiment, a priest is stricken with vampirism and is forced to abandon his ascetic ways.Another Unique take on an Overly Done Genre. This movie treats Vampirism Both as a curse and a gift. The 2nd half of the film is very interesting, unfortunately the 1st half suffers from some dull/Slow Build up. If you can make it past the 1st half, you will without a Doubt be rewarded. The Comedy bits are a very welcomed added bonus! Song Kang-ho is as usual...Excellent. 7/10
- DirectorNa Hong-jinStarsLee Yoo-miHa Jung-wooLee Hee-joonWhen the attempt to kill a professor goes wrong, a series of violent events are triggered which force a taxi driver to run for his life.Slightly Convoluted Plot and A Bit too Long. The Knife Fights Though are Extremely Entertaining! 6/10
- DirectorKim Jee-woonStarsSong Kang-hoLee Byung-hunJung Woo-sungThe story of two outlaws and a bounty hunter in 1940s Manchuria and their rivalry to possess a treasure map while being pursued by the Japanese army and Chinese bandits. Some Good Humor, but Runs Too Long with a disappointing 3rd Act. The final chase scene is unforgivably too long, as well as the final Showdown. 6/10
- DirectorHan-min KimStarsPark Hae-ilRyu Seung-ryongKim Mu-yeolA skilled Korean archer goes up against the mighty force of Manchus with the sole purpose of rescuing his kidnapped sister.Great Scenery/Production/Costume Design. Certain Chase scenes seem a bit too unreal (gaining/losing ground on the individual at random moments, Lengthy Chase Scenes loose Impact) Main Character is quite Enjoyable and Believable. After the first 20 minutes, the Movie gets moving and stays in High Gear. 6/10
- DirectorHyeong-Joon KimStarsSol Kyung-guRyu Seung-beomHan Hye-jinDespite being nearly proven the murderer, a serial killer threatens to kill the daughter of a forensic pathologist if he doesn't get him bailed out. Most reviews praise this movie but it felt like a major let down. Acting was nothing Special, especially Supporting Cast. The Camera Work was Constantly Zooming in and Shaking Due to being Hand Held. There Didn't seem to be much of a "Thrilling" Aspect, The Director Didn't give us An Emotional Connection To the Main Character Which is Why it Fails. The Ending is What Saved this Movie. 6/10
- DirectorPark Jin-PyoStarsSol Kyung-guKim Nam-juGang Dong-wonOne day, the only son of famous news anchor HAN Kyung-bae, disappears without a trace. Soon, the kidnapper calls the mother demanding a $100,000 ransom. The police assign a veteran inspector to the case and assemble a top-notch task force to work under his command. But the kidnapper constantly outwits the police and continues calling the parents with yet more instructions for the money drop.A decent mystery that not many people have seen!
- DirectorSang-yoon LimIm Sang YoonStarsSo Ji-seobLee Mi-yeonKwak Do-wonWhen a change of heart moves a well-trained hitman to tender his resignation to his employers, no good comes of it for anyone.Typical vengeful hitman movie, slightly above the rest in its genre until the 3rd Act Becomes Extremely Over The Top. 6/10
- DirectorHun JangStarsSong Kang-hoGang Dong-wonKo Chang-seokA fired South Korean agent and a deserted North Korean spy meet by chance after six years and start a business partnership, each with the intention of stealing information from the other.Nothing Special Here. The High Points were the Comedy bits, compared to the Action or "Thriller" aspect. Very forgettable, Very Cheesy Ending. 4/10 at best.
