"Mr. Robot" Press Room: 6 Big Reveals2 of 6
There's a huge twist involving Angela.
Angela (Portia Doubleday) has seemingly gone to the dark side, accepting a high-powered job at E Corporation, the company responsible for the death of her mother. According to Doubleday, Angela is not simply selling out. She explains, "Say there’s going to be so many episodes where people go back-and-forth and don’t know what is going on because there is something [unexpected] this season. I asked [showrunner] Sam Esmail what it is, and he said, 'You’re never going to guess it,' and I was like, 'Yes I will.' He was like, 'Nope, nope, nope,” and we hadn’t read it. We read the first six [episodes] by ourselves. We went to a warehouse [where] we read the last four together for the first time ... and we got to this one point where I [gasped.] I will say there are so many things this season that are completely unpredictable."
