- DirectorChristopher NolanStarsChristian BaleHeath LedgerAaron EckhartWhen the menace known as the Joker wreaks havoc and chaos on the people of Gotham, Batman must accept one of the greatest psychological and physical tests of his ability to fight injustice.A true masterpiece.
10/10
Grade: A+ - DirectorAnthony RussoJoe RussoStarsChris EvansRobert Downey Jr.Scarlett JohanssonPolitical involvement in the Avengers' affairs causes a rift between Captain America and Iron Man.A wonderfully entertaining movie. The action is some of the best in any Marvel movie yet, the story is very interesting, and there is a lot of good emotionally resonant conflict between characters.
10/10
Grade: A+ - DirectorChristopher NolanStarsChristian BaleMichael CaineKen WatanabeAfter witnessing his parents' death, Bruce learns the art of fighting to confront injustice. When he returns to Gotham as Batman, he must stop a secret society that intends to destroy the city. The best superhero origin movie ever made. The motivation behind Bruce Wayne becoming Batman is extremely well-realized and the story is utterly masterful. If the action was not so shaky, the movie would be almost perfect.
9/10
Grade: A - DirectorSam RaimiStarsTobey MaguireKirsten DunstAlfred MolinaPeter Parker is beset with troubles in his failing personal life as he battles a former brilliant scientist named Otto Octavius.Although this film may go under the radar for many, I personally think that this movie is better than nearly every MCU movie (except for Civil War). The characters, story, and action are all extremely well done.
9/10
Grade: A - DirectorChristopher NolanStarsChristian BaleTom HardyAnne HathawayEight years after the Joker's reign of chaos, Batman is coerced out of exile with the assistance of the mysterious Selina Kyle in order to defend Gotham City from the vicious guerrilla terrorist Bane. This movie has problems. Unlike the top 4 on this list, I can point out a lot of things that could have been better handled with this movie such as the pacing. However, the film has it where it counts. It's got absolutely phenomenal characters, the best action in the entire trilogy, and a third act that will have even a casual comic book movie fan gripping their armrests.
8/10
Grade: A- - DirectorJames GunnStarsChris PrattVin DieselBradley CooperA group of intergalactic criminals must pull together to stop a fanatical warrior with plans to purge the universe. There's really nothing that I can say about this movie that hasn't been said already. It's funny, imaginative, and exciting, but also has an emotional core that audiences probably will not expect before their first viewing.
8/10
Grade: A- - DirectorAnthony RussoJoe RussoStarsChris EvansSamuel L. JacksonScarlett JohanssonAs Steve Rogers struggles to embrace his role in the modern world, he teams up with a fellow Avenger and S.H.I.E.L.D agent, Black Widow, to battle a new threat from history: an assassin known as the Winter Soldier.Up until this film, practically every MCU movie was fun and light-hearted with a plot involving some boring villain with lackluster plans. This movie really changed things up and is a dark, bleak, and extremely slick thrill ride.

Grade: A- - DirectorJames MangoldStarsHugh JackmanPatrick StewartDafne KeenIn a future where mutants are nearly extinct, an elderly and weary Logan leads a quiet life. But when Laura, a mutant child pursued by scientists, comes to him for help, he must get her to safety.Logan reminded us that, even though the Dark Knight Trilogy ended years ago, we can still have comic book films that feel realistic. The Wolverine is such a damn likable character that I truly felt connected to upon both of my viewings. The side characters, Charles and X23, are also fantastic. There is a bit of a lull at the start of the third act, but other than that, this movie rocks.
8/10
Grade: A- - DirectorPatty JenkinsStarsGal GadotChris PineRobin WrightWhen a pilot crashes and tells of conflict in the outside world, Diana, an Amazonian warrior in training, leaves home to fight a war, discovering her full powers and true destiny.Wonder Woman is a brilliant movie that digs deep into themes about humanity, evil, and war. The characters are almost all fantastic but the film got Diana right the most. She is such a phenomenal character and I cannot wait to see more of her.
8/10
Grade: A- - DirectorJon FavreauStarsRobert Downey Jr.Gwyneth PaltrowTerrence HowardAfter being held captive in an Afghan cave, billionaire engineer Tony Stark creates a unique weaponized suit of armor to fight evil.It started it all. Iron Man is just so much damn fun and it is unsurprising that this movie started a giant cinematic universe considering how well-written, exciting, and involving it is.
