- DirectorCliff BoleTerry WindellStarsKate MulgrewRobert BeltranRoxann DawsonAboard the Delta Flyer, Janeway leads Tuvok, Paris and the Doctor on a rescue mission to retrieve Seven from the Borg Queen. whose treatment of Seven is markedly atypical.Seven of Nine was a fantastic character, and this story of the Borg Queen's plan to bring her back to the collective was very exciting and enjoyable
- DirectorWinrich KolbeStarsKate MulgrewRobert BeltranRoxann DawsonVoyager finds a solution to combat the invader of Borg space. All Captain Janeway asks is free passage through their territory and Voyager will share their knowledge. The two parter Scorpion that straddled seasons 3 and 4 was a fantastic episode that introduced Seven of Nine to Voyager. Part 1 features THE best opening teaser EVER! The Borg finally meet their match in Species 8472. Voyager is drawn into the conflict and ends up with their very own drone! For me, the addition of Jeri Ryan was an incredibly smart move. She was gorgeous, but more importantly, she is a really good actress and the development of her character through the next few seasons was Voyager hitting its stride.
- DirectorDavid LivingstonStarsKate MulgrewRobert BeltranRoxann DawsonAfter Voyager is captured by the Hirogen, the ship is turned into a massive holodeck so that the aliens can hunt members of the crew who have been fitted with new identities in various scenarios based upon Earth and Federation history. The ship is taken over by the Hirogen who use the holodecks to play war games - chiefly Nazis vs French Resistance in WW2. Jeri Ryan sings, Kate Mulgrew in a white tuxedo!
- DirectorNancy MaloneStarsKate MulgrewRobert BeltranRoxann DawsonUsing an alien communications net, Voyager sends their Doctor to the Federation ship USS Prometheus only to find that it has been taken over by Romulans. The Doctor is sent back to the Alpha Quadrant to make contact with Starfleet and ends up teaming up with another EMH, Andy Dick. Very entertaining episode.
- DirectorRobert Duncan McNeillStarsKate MulgrewRobert BeltranRoxann DawsonAs The Doctor guides Seven into the unfamiliar social realm of dating, Ambassador Neelix suffers an alien monk who overindulges.Voyager does Pygmalion. The Doctor is trying to help Seven with her social interactions and this week's lesson is about dating. This episode (directed by Tom Paris actor Robert Duncan McNeill) actually has a good B story too! Not much sci-fi, the human interactions are what makes this a great episode.
- DirectorAllan EastmanStarsKate MulgrewRobert BeltranRoxann DawsonFederation time ship Capt Braxton pulls Seven out of her time to help identify and destroy a bomb planted aboard Voyager.Time travel episodes can be hit or miss, but this one was a lot of fun! Seven has to try to catch a temporal spy who has planted a bomb at some point in the past! Lots of fun as we travel to different points in Voyager's past and Jeri Ryan gets to wear a Starfleet uniform too.
- DirectorTerry WindellStarsKate MulgrewRobert BeltranRoxann DawsonModifying her alcove to process several months of gathered data at a time turns Seven into a rampant conspiracy theorist. Meanwhile, Janeway deals with an alien scientist developing catapult technology.Seven tries to download the ship's logs in their entirety and ends up getting completely paranoid, seeing conspiracies everywhere.
- DirectorAnson WilliamsStarsKate MulgrewRobert BeltranRoxann DawsonAs the crew works to remove impeding Borg technologies from Voyager, their Borg guest wants out while a crew member's telekinetic abilities become too big to contain. The introduction of Seven of Nine and the departure of Kes were controversial for some. The sexualised depiction of Seven's character - and that skin tight suit hid very little - was seen as dumbing the show down. As it turned out, Jeri Ryan's nuanced acting made her character totally fascinating. This episode features two great scenes with Janeway as she says goodbye to Kes and tries to connect with Seven.
- DirectorAllan KroekerStarsKate MulgrewRobert BeltranRoxann DawsonThe Voyager crew encounters photonic life forms that mistake warmongering characters as real in Tom Paris' far-fetched "Captain Proton" holodeck program. The Captain Proton hologram program was a lot of fun and this episode that included Kate Mulgrew playing Arachnia, Queen of the Spider People! Fantastic production design.
- DirectorTim RussStarsKate MulgrewRobert BeltranRoxann DawsonThe Doctor awakens in the museum of an alien culture seven hundred years in the future, where Voyager is thought to have been a passing warship full of cold-blooded killers. The Doctor's program is found by an historian 700 years in the future who is creating an exhibit of how Voyager played a role in a civil war on their world. We get to see the events from several points of view - Janeway in black gloves is suitable threatening!
- DirectorLeVar BurtonStarsKate MulgrewRobert BeltranRoxann DawsonA miscalculation by Ensign Kim causes a fatal crash during Voyager's first test with slipstream travel. Fifteen years in the future, survivors Chakotay, Kim and The Doctor attempt to send a message back in time to prevent the tragedy. The 100th episode of Voyager was a really strong one as we see Kim and Chakotay have reached Earth but Voyager didn't make it through the journey. They try to find a way to send a message back to tell Voyager how to make the adjustments to save the ship. Probably the best Garrett Wang as the terminally dull Harry Kim ever was.
- DirectorKenneth BillerStarsKate MulgrewRobert BeltranRoxann DawsonAmidst promotions, added duties and shifts in relationships, Voyager responds to a distress call from a hologram, one who proves himself dangerously unsafe to be around.Extremely creepy episode featuring the always excellent (and creepy) Leland Orser as a psycho killer hologram! The tone of this episode is like a horror movie and works really well.
- DirectorTerry WindellStarsKate MulgrewRobert BeltranRoxann DawsonA forgotten past decision confronts Seven of Nine when she meets three ex-Borg former shipmates permanently mind-linked to one another.Seven's past actions come back to haunt her - again - when three ex-drones turn up on Voyager trying to find out the truth about their past. I loved the flashbacks to Borg Seven and the reasons for her actions.
- DirectorMichael VejarStarsKate MulgrewRobert BeltranRoxann DawsonOn Earth, Barclay uses holograms to formulate a plan to open communications with Voyager.Reg Barclay played by Dwight Schultz was a popular guest star of The Next Generation, and he proved to be a fun guest star on Voyager too as he helps them get in touch with Starfleet. Deanna Troi appears too as we learn how Reg tried to contact Voyager and ended up suspended.
- DirectorWinrich KolbeStarsKate MulgrewRobert BeltranRoxann DawsonWhile pursuing the trail of Maquis rebels, a newly commissioned Starfleet ship gets pulled to the far side of the galaxy. The first episode of Star Trek Voyager was actually a really good set up that the show didn't quite fulfil for many years. Kate Mulgrew was a little shrill at first, but already had an air of authority. The Maquis crew teaming up with Starfleet could have been a lot more interesting but it was never explored. Still, this was one of the better first Trek episodes.
