- DirectorRobert StevensonStarsAlbert SharpeJanet MunroSean ConneryA wily old codger matches wits with the King of the Leprechauns and helps play matchmaker for his daughter and the strapping lad who has replaced him as caretaker. The banshee. The fact that I live in Ireland made it even scarier.
We have her slowly coming down towards Darby whilst making that whailing. And later, we have a shot where Darby opens the door and she goes right up to the camera causing many viewers to have a heart attack. - DirectorRobert ZemeckisStarsBob HoskinsChristopher LloydJoanna CassidyWhen a cartoon rabbit is accused of murder, he enlists the help of a burnt out private investigator to prove his innocence."REMEMBER ME, EDDIE? WHEN I KILLED YOUR BROTHER, I TALKED JUST LIKE THIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSS!"
- DirectorSimon GibneyStarsMick O'HaraCiaran MorrisonAlthough this was a comedy series, there were some unintentionally scary moments in this show. This episode scared me because that mask made the thief's face look strange. Also, that choir music when he slices his victims with his carpetknife.
- DirectorSimon GibneyStarsMick O'HaraCiaran MorrisonThe whole episode's tale is told only in pictures. But they were all stretched and eerie looking, combined with some pretty frightening music.
- DirectorBob SpiersStarsMel BEmma BuntonMelanie CWorld-famous pop group the Spice Girls zip around London in their luxurious double-decker tour bus having various adventures and performing for their fans. Now, if you thought the Spice Girls' acting was scary, there is a scene where they meet some aliens and who's stupid idea was it to make them look incredibly creepy?
Not only that, but they speak in very disturbing sounding voices, which would put the deadites from Evil Dead to shame. - DirectorRoland EmmerichStarsKurt RussellJames SpaderJaye DavidsonAn interstellar teleportation device, found in Egypt, leads to a planet with humans resembling ancient Egyptians who worship the god Ra.That voice of Ra.
Jaye Davidson would later scare me as an adult with his full frontal scene in The Crying Game. - StarsRichard WaitesSarah PickthallDeborah McCallumA children's TV sketch show using the premise of comic book with iconic characters such as Daisy Dares you, the hands and more! There was a character called Tricky Dicky, who wore an Inspector Clouseau coat, a pilgrim hat and a black balaclava that covered his whole face.
Yeah, who thought that would be good for a kids' show?
The character was replaced by Daisy Dare because parents complained that he was too scary. - StarsKappei YamaguchiHaruna IkezawaShôzô ÎzukaAku Aku and Uka Uka want to determine which one of them is better. Since they cannot fight each other they instead create a contest of minigames to decide whether good or evil is the strongest. How could a Crash Bandicoot game scare 12 year old me? How about a demonic voice over at the beginning that says "Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Presents."
- DirectorWalter MurchStarsFairuza BalkNicol WilliamsonJean MarshDorothy, saved from a psychiatric experiment by a mysterious girl, is somehow called back to Oz when a vain witch and the Nome King destroy everything that makes the magical land beautiful.Believe it or not, I did not find the Wheelers scary. Although they do resemble yobs that come out onto the streets at night and attack you.
No, the scene that scared me was the Headless Mombi.
"DOROTHY GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLEEEEEEEE!!!"
And that music just strikes at you.
It's like Walter Murch (whose only directorial credit was this film) told the composer to make it as scary as possible.
The composer probably asked him "Would this be too scary for children?" and Walter probably answered "Of course not."
Little did he know that he was making a horror movie disguised as a family. Or maybe he did know and made it a horror movie on purpose. - DirectorMel StuartStarsGene WilderJack AlbertsonPeter OstrumA poor but hopeful boy seeks one of the five coveted golden tickets that will send him on a tour of Willy Wonka's mysterious chocolate factory. The scary tunnel.
Willy Wonka is just evil in this film. When all the kids get rid off one by one, he doesn't seem to worry. Infact, maybe the secret formula to all his sweets is infact............
Not to mention the scene where Charlie and Grandpa Joe drink fizzy lifting drinks and have such a great time floating higher and higher......... that is until they are about to go near a fan.
There's a very funny video on YouTube that shows what would happen if they couldn't save themselves. - DirectorJon KnolesStarsWeena MercaturBob BergenJohn CyganYou are the protector of Luke Skywalker. This is for the N64 version.
The cut scenes consist of paper cut outs of the characters. Their still images staring at you combined with that creepy music is just so creepy. - A young mystical ninja named Kid Ying, and his master Dr. Yang set out to save Princess Yuki from the evil Otafu Army. The opening cutscene where we have Master Yang and Kid Ying talk about a ghost and then out of nowhere, the music winds down. We then have spooky music as the camera slowly zooms towards Master Yang's face as he tells the story of a ghost.
