IMDb Picks: '90s Shows That Need a Reboot Now14 of 20
"Hey Arnold!" | Stream Now on Hulu
Plot: The everyday life of Arnold (Lane Toran, Phillip Van Dyke, Spencer Klein, and Alex D. Linz), a fourth-grader in a nameless city that resembles Brooklyn, New York, who lives in a multi-racial boarding house with his grandparents and a motley assortment of friends and neighbors.
'90s Rewind: Set in a big city reminiscent of Brooklyn, this Nickelodeon animated series was simultaneously wacky and down-to-earth, featuring a patchwork of diverse characters that you couldn’t help but love, quirks and all. The neighborhood kids engaged in all manner of questionable activities, given that they’re in elementary school — remember when Arnold and Harold descended below the city in search of The Sewer King? — but I would love to see a reboot that reflects life as a city kid today, i.e. overpriced avocado toast and racing down the sidewalk on scooters past all those Williamsburg hipster wannabes. — Hannah
