The MCU has adapted over 50 villains from the comics so far. While some, like Dar-Benn, were disappointing, others, like last year’s High Evolutionary, were executed brilliantly. Yet, there are still many more villains to introduce.
As fans eagerly anticipate characters like the Beyonder and Doctor Doom, Ranker provided an opportunity for fans to vote on 10 Marvel villains deemed too grotesque or messed up to be introduced to the MCU. Let’s take a look at the names.
10. Demogoblin
Demogoblin is one of Spider-Man’s villains. He’s a dark twist on the Green Goblin, turned into a demonic being after a deal with a demon. Demogoblin has super strength, agility, and endurance, plus can control mystical fire. While not extremely frightening, fans often prefer the classic version of the character.

Larry David reflected on his 24 years and 12 seasons of working on HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” sharing with the guys at “Smartless” that he only had buyer’s remorse for casting actors who were bad a improv “a couple of times.”
“It’s only happened a couple of times in the show where people were trying to be funny. And that’s, like, the worst thing you can do,” David told Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Sean Hayes (the latter of whom actually guest starred on the comedy’s final season earlier this year) on Monday’s podcast episode.
“Not many,” he said, “but there have been a few who really couldn’t do it.”
Loosely fictionalized around David’s own life as an actor and writer in Los Angeles, “Curb Your Enthusiasm” costarred Cheryl Hines, Susie Essman, J.B. Smoove, Jeff Garlin and the late Richard Lewis and was famously improvisational,...

As “Curb Your Enthusiasm” prepares to bid farewell after a 24-year run and 12 seasons on HBO, star J.B. Smoove argues there’s one mystery left unsolved that he’d love to see get the spin-off treatment: What was Leon Black up to before he met Larry David?
“I’d be a fool to say I wouldn’t be open to a spin-off,” Smoove told TheWrap. “I think this dude has levels to him. We don’t know what he does when he’s not with Larry, we don’t know where he came from. I think there’s something to this guy that’s really interesting in how he sees things.”
Leon first appeared in “Curb” during Season 6 when he decides to take refuge at Larry and Cheryl’s house after his family is displaced by a hurricane — and proceeds to never move out. Over the subsequent seven seasons, he...

The season of the very first sign of the zodiac is here, and that’s exactly why being a leader comes so easy for Aries folks.
And that’s no joke, Aries really don’t know what else to be but a boss, CEO or innovator, because they’d rather play by their own rules. They march to the beat of their own drum and rarely ever need anyone to play backup instrumentals. Their charm, playful personality and great sense of humor make up for their impulsiveness and sometimes hot-temper, and there’s absolutely no other sign who will keep it all the way real with you like an Aries does, even if it’s something you don’t want to hear. They tell it like it is, as dishonesty goes against their entire m.o.

HBO’s “True Detective” has returned with a roaring fourth season starring two-time Oscar-winner Jodie Foster. Fiona Shaw, Christopher Eccleston, John Hawkes and newcomer Kali Reis all shine in this acclaimed edition of the franchise, which we predict will compete in all the major categories at this year’s Emmys. However, before we look ahead to this season’s Emmy chances, let’s take a look back at the show’s history with the TV academy.

The final season of Curb Your Enthusiasm reunited Larry David with one of his closest co-stars when the late Richard Lewis returned to the HBO comedy after taking a hiatus over his health.
On the Feb. 18 episode of season 12, titled “Vertical Drop, Horizontal Tug,” the lifelong friends were seen riding a golf cart, talking about their Wordle streaks and golf swings. Their friendly chatter quickly turned antagonistic — as could be expected from the comedians’ Curb alter egos — when Lewis told Larry he tweaked his will and had added the Seinfeld creator to his end-of-life document. When Larry pushes back, insisting he doesn’t need his money, Lewis counters: “When I die, I want you to know how much I cared about you. You’re my best friend, you’re getting it.” Despite Larry’s insistence that he would not accept the offer, Lewis didn’t give up: “I’m giving it to you anyway,...

True Detective staging a comeback both creatively and in the ratings wasn’t on our bingo card for 2024.
HBO on Thursday confirmed that it has picked up True Detective Season 5, mere days after the conclusion of True Detective: Night Country.
The series started in 2014 with Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson in the lead roles, scoring rave reviews and high viewership.
One year later, the franchise imploded with a season featuring Colin Farrell, Rachel McAdams, Taylor Kitsch, Kelly Reilly, and Vince Vaughn.
At that point, it seemed the series was dead… only to get another reprieve in 2018 with Mahershala Ali as the lead.
The reviews were decent, but it didn’t succeed as much as its predecessors. The franchise went dormant again… until Jodie Foster agreed to appear on True Detective: Night Country.

Nic Pizzolatto got his career as a storyteller started by writing short stories and a novel called Galveston, then made his move into television by writing a couple episodes of the first season of the AMC series The Killing. He wasn’t pleased with that experience, telling Nola.com that, “I want to be the guiding vision. I don’t do well serving someone else’s vision.” So he left The Killing as it headed into season 2 and went off to create his own show: True Detective, which found a home at HBO. Pizzolatto’s deal with HBO was renewed twice over the years as he crafted three seasons of True Detective, with his final deal with the network earning him $3 million a year. He was going to work on the network’s Perry Mason reboot, but had to let it go so he could focus on True Detective. Once True Detective season 3 wrapped up,...

“Can’t blame me.” Those are the words of Nic Pizzolatto, the creator of True Detective, in response to a post on social media criticizing season four of the HBO anthology, the first cycle in which he has had no direct involvement. That tweet, as well as reposts of messages by the viewers critical of the new season, raises the question of what the show’s original creator has been up to since he left the series.
To refresh: The 2014 season one of True Detective, starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson as Louisiana detectives tracking a serial killer, was a breakout hit for HBO, earning a Rotten Tomatoes score of 91 among critics and an 88 audience score. The freshman run went on to collect a franchise-high 12 Emmy nominations, helping Pizzolatto skyrocket to fame.

[This story contains spoilers from the third episode of season 12 of Curb Your Enthusiasm.]
In the world of Curb Your Enthusiasm, Larry David is back in Los Angeles and he’s a bit famous.
The third episode of the HBO comedy’s final season brought the so-called liberal darling back from Georgia, where he made national news for violating the Election Integrity Act when he got arrested for offering Leon’s (J.B. Smoove) aunt, Auntie Rae (Ellia English), a bottle of water while she was in a voting line. He has a trial looming — and is facing up to one year in prison and a fine of $10,000 — but he has the new perk of being praised by strangers, including actress Sienna Miller, who appeared to be flirting with the famous curmudgeon.
With Larry back in L.A., the ensemble was all gathered as Cheryl Hines, Ted Danson, Richard Lewis and Vince Vaughn reunited with David, Smoove, Jeff Garlin and Susie Essman...

‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ Guest Star Troy Kotsur Reveals the Joke That Made Larry David Break Character
Note: The following story contains spoilers from “Curb Your Enthusiasm” Season 12, Episode 3.
Sunday’s episode of “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” titled “Vertical Drop, Horizontal Tug,” sees Larry David hit the golf course, where he eavesdrops on a lesson that improves his swing a little too well.
The lesson is given to Troy Kotsur, a deaf actor who is best known for his Academy Award-winning supporting role in the Apple TV+ film “Coda.” Through the rest of the episode, Kotsur’s feud with David intensifies as he’s hit in the back by one of Larry’s golf balls and later hit with a bagel intended for a homeless man.
To keep the narrative spontaneous, “Curb Your Enthusiasm” is shot without a script. Cast members are given scene outlines so they can improvise lines as they go. The actor opened up about how his prior experience in improv helped him make David...

Alfred Hitchcock’s films have been some of the iconic films that have shaped the genre of suspense thrillers. He is known as the Master of Suspense, and his filmography as a director has been an inspirational one. Films such as To Catch a Thief, Vertigo, North by Northwest, and Psycho have been considered his best films.
Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho is potentially the best suspense horror/thriller film
The latter is his most popular film featuring one of cinema’s most feared antagonists, Norman Bates, played by Anthony Perkins. The actor also managed to earn an Oscar nomination for the 1956 film Friendly Persuasion. However, he held one secret about his sexuality due to the regressive ideologies of the 50s.

"Wedding Crashers" and "Anchorman" star Vince Vaughn showed up during the big game alongside two of the greatest sports legends of all time: Tom Brady and Wayne Gretzky. The former Patriots quarterback and NHL hockey legend were seen alongside Vaughn in a BetMGM ad, which aired during this year's Super Bowl between the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs. While the Chiefs won the game, the commercial was also a winner. But how is it that this became Vaughn's first Super Bowl commercial during his long career that spans more than three decades?
Vaughn recently spoke with Variety about the ad. The ad shows the actor — who is looking like his "Swingers" self in Las Vegas — telling the world at large that BetMGM is for everyone ... except Tom Brady. Why? Because the seven-time Super Bowl champion has won enough. Speaking with the outlet about why he decided to...

This weekend, the biggest sporting event on the Stateside calendar, the Super Bowl, went down between the San Francisco 49ers and the Taylor Swiftie… Sorry (checks notes), Kansas City Chiefs. And with a massive guaranteed TV audience, that naturally meant companies shelling out not just $7 million for 30 seconds of precious airtime, but millions more to secure celebrity faces and guarantee viewers/clicks. As is usual these days, most of the ads went up days before the event itself, or the spots linked to longer versions online. Here is a roundup of our favourites…
State Farm: Arnold Schwarzenegger
Arnie's spot for the insurance company is, like so many of these short clips, really only a two-joke piece: 1. Arnie is in it 2. He pronounces "neighbour" "neighbah". Oh, and the extended version also has his old pal Danny DeVito in it. For a second.
Booking.com: Tina Fey
Wither Idris and (more recently) Melissa McCarthy?...

Vince Vaughn is trying to level the playing field for everyone other than Tom Brady in the new Super Bowl commercial for BetMGM!
In the commercial, which will premiere during the 2024 Super Bowl on Sunday (February 11), the actor lets the world know that everyone who loves sports betting can get in on BetMGM… with the exception of Tom.
Why? Tom was equally confused. However, Vince explained the decision quite simply: The retired NFL star has simply “won too much.”
Head inside to watch the BetMGM commercial…
The commercial introduces a bunch of people who are able to bet, including Tom‘s old babysitter and Wayne Gretzky.
Tom tries to sneak by the decision by changing into a costume complete with a bedazzled cowboy hat and belt. However, Vince is now swayed.
At the end, there’s a photo of Tom projected on the wall of the MGM Grand saying that he is not allowed.

Bradley Cooper has opened up on his time when he hit the big time with a guest role early in his career, appearing as Carrie Bradshaw’s brief love interest in an episode of Sex and the City.
Cooper, whose biographical drama Maestro has been awarded seven Oscar nominations ahead of this year’s Academy Awards, was speaking at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, when he looked back to his brief time on the hit show, back in 1999. He remembered his fears going in, as he had lied about being able to drive a sports car during his audition.
He said: “I remember when I got the call to do it I was terrified. ‘What do you mean I’m actually going to have to do it?’ I couldn’t drive a stick shift, so they sent me to Models Driving School and I was just terrified.

Super Bowl Sunday is coming up this weekend, where the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers are predicted to play an exciting game.
The Chiefs’ presence at the Super Bowl this year comes as no surprise, as they won the Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles last year. The 49ers, however, haven’t been in the Super Bowl since 2020 and haven’t won one since 1994, making it 30 years since their last win.
Leading the two teams will be Chiefs head coach Andy Reid and 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan.
Though the main event is the football match, many of those who watch or attend the Super Bowl are there for the musical performances, and some even for the commercials.
This year, Reba McEntire is set to sing the national anthem, while Post Malone and Andra Day sing “America the Beautiful” and “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” respectively, at the pre-game show.

Vince Vaughn has been offered Super Bowl commercials in the past, but he finally said yes when he got the chance to work alongside sports greats Tom Brady and Wayne Gretzky in an ad this year for gambling app BetMGM.
The spot features Vaughn explaining that anyone could use BetMGM except the retired NFL star because he’s already “won enough.” The “Wedding Crashers” star is also shown having dinner with ice hockey legend Gretzky.
Vaughn rarely does commercials. “I’ve been offered Super Bowl ads in the past…but this just really made sense,” Vaughn told me Tuesday at the final season premiere of “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” “I love Las Vegas, obviously, and MGM. That felt like a good fit. Tom and Wayne are great, so it just felt fun.”
Vaughn continued, “Tom is super easy and he’s funny, same with Wayne. They were easy to be around.

Ten years since Pizzolatto’s anthology HBO series starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson debuted, the screenwriter took to Instagram to comment on how “Night Country” connects to the first season of “True Detective,” calling it “so stupid.” Despite serving as an executive producer on “Night Country,” Pizzolatto wrote (via screenshots of the comments), “I certainly did not have any input on this story or anything else. Can’t blame me.”
“Night Country” showrunner Issa López, who writes and directs all six episodes of the new season led by Jodie Foster and Kali Reis, told Vulture that Pizzolatto is certainly “entitled” to his beliefs.
“I believe that every storyteller has a very specific, peculiar, and unique relation to the stories they create,...

How an artist finds their muse is a mystery that goes back centuries. For “Maestro,” the Leonard Bernstein biopic that Bradley Cooper wrote, directed, and starred in, we know Cooper studied the late conductor’s every move and worked for years to get a handle on the baton himself. But during a recent conversation with Cooper’s fellow 2024 Oscar Best Actor nominees Jeffrey Wright, Colman Domingo, Paul Giamatti, and Cillian Murphy, Cooper cited a very specific life-changing moment inspired by a fellow performer.
It was Vince Vaughn, Cooper’s co-star in the ribald 2005 comedy “Wedding Crashers,” that changed the 12-time Oscar nominee forever, he said.
“Up until that point, I was always just trying to get it right on camera. Be present and get it right,” Cooper, who was best known as the nice guy on “Alias” at that time, said during the SAG-AFTRA actors’ panel. “I’m watching Vince Vaughn destroy a scene,...

Bradley Cooper has come a long way from his memorably antagonistic role as the preppy boyfriend, Sack Lodge, to Rachel McAdams‘ character in Wedding Crashers. In the film, Cooper’s character was rightfully suspicious of Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn conning their way into a wealthy family when Wilson developed feelings for McAdams. This starts a subplot where Cooper tries to expose them. Although the role is the quintessential “bad guy” character in the 2005 Frat Pack film, Cooper would seem to come away with the biggest career from that film as he has become quite the prestigious filmmaker.
According to Variety, Cooper attributes Wedding Crashers as his break-out role when he was mostly known as an ally to Jennifer Garner in Alias, and the Sack Lodge character was a big opportunity to show his range with his image. Cooper recently had partaken in an actor discussion with fellow nominees. When...

Bradley Cooper joined his fellow best actor SAG Award nominees Jeffrey Wright (“American Fiction”), Cillian Murphy (“Oppenheimer”), Paul Giamatti (“The Holdovers”) and Colman Domingo (“Rustin”) for an hour-long chat as part of the SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversations program, during which each actor was asked to name a career-changing moment they had with a fellow actor on set. Cooper, nominated for his self-directed performance in “Maestro,” had perhaps the most surprising pick of the bunch: Vince Vaughn in “Wedding Crashers.”
The 2005 R-rated comedy “Wedding Crashers” cast Cooper in the supporting role of Sack Lodge, the villainous boyfriend of Claire (Rachel McAdams). The actor was mostly known at the time for his good guy role opposite Jennifer Garner on the ABC spy thriller “Alias,” which is why he viewed his “Wedding Crashers” casting as such a “huge break” since he was finally tasked with changing up his onscreen image.

Larry David’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm” is coming to an end after almost a quarter of a century.
“It’s time,” the famously curmudgeon funny man told me Tuesday at the Season 12 premiere at the DGA in Los Angeles. “Twelve seasons – that’s a lot for a television show – over 24 years. It was time.”
However, David has claimed he was done with the HBO series before, only to return again. “Yeah, I said it before,” David admits. “But I wasn’t 76 when I said it.”
David and his cast, including Cheryl Hines, Jeff Garlin, Susie Essman, J.B. Smoove, Keyla Monterroso Mejia, Ted Danson and Vince Vaughn, reunited for the premiere, which included the screening of Episode 1 and Episode 7 of Season 12, and a party at Sunset Tower Hotel.
Where the real Larry David ends and his TV alter ego begins was, no surprise, hard to decipher on the red carpet. At one point,...

Larry David on Tuesday attended the premiere of the final season of Curb Your Enthusiasm, where he revealed what he had planned next and gave insight into the creative freedom HBO gave him during the series’ 12-season run.
Ahead of a screening of the first two episodes of Season 12 of the comedy, David got onstage to present the show, getting a standing ovation from the crowd.
“If I would’ve been a different person, I might have been touched by that,” David joked after the ovation.
“So, yes, yes, this is it. This is it. The final season. It’s very sad, very sad,” David awkwardly said while being playful with the American Sign Language interpreter next to him.
David noted that many people have been asking what he would do now that the show is ending, to which he jokingly said, “Hey, don’t worry about me. I got plenty to do.
