Bill Maher has finally responded to Steve-o, who said on an episode of the “Wild Ride!” podcast earlier this year that he had to turn down a request to appear on Bill Maher‘s “Club Random” podcast because Maher refused to not smoke weed during the interview despite Steve-o being 16 years sober. In an upcoming episode of “Club Random” with guest Tony Hawk, Maher confirms the story but expresses no regret over turning the “Jackass” alum down.
“That Steve-o guy was taking shots at me in the press recently,” Maher said. “It was an unfortunate … I don’t want to start a feud, and I’m sorry that he felt slighted or something, but it is ridiculous that somebody thinks that I should give up pot smoking because they have a problem. Then I’m sorry you can’t be here.”

Intro: If there’s one word that perfectly sums up the bombastic nature of 80s action cinema, it has to be ‘excess’. Action behemoths, big hair, muscles, fantastical landscapes, and arm-wrestling matches that could be won by the simple flip of your favourite cap. It was an amazing decade for movies, and for action movie icons. Looking back on the early career of one of the era’s most iconic megastars, Arnold Schwarzenegger, there’s one thing that jumps out like doomed cannon-fodder from one of his movies; they were never dull. After having successfully conquered the world of bodybuilding, and subsequently the glitz and glamour of Hollywood, with career defining roles in Conan the Barbarian, Conan the Destroyer, The Terminator and Red Sonja, it’s clear that going bigger would be better for his career. Those movies highlighted how Arnie’s impressive physique could be utilised for maximum effect,...

In the space of Infinite Wealth’s first hour, everybody’s favorite ex-yakuza himbo, Ichiban Kasuga, goes from gainfully employed job recruiter, to unofficial job recruiter for those with criminal records, to unemployed loser, to internet-cancelled pariah, to McConaughey-esque beach bum, to homesick mama’s boy, to cop-punching fugitive, and, finally, back to his natural state: delusional, self-appointed, street-wise hero. Again, that’s the first hour of the game.
The irony in Infinite Wealth, though, is that the sheer whiplash of Kazuga’s life is the thing that players will cling onto for stability as Like a Dragon takes its antics overseas to Hawaii. While folks of a certain age know a trip to Hawaii is usually what happens when a beloved series is out of ideas, the tropical setting makes for a pretty perfect fit with Like a Dragon, being a Japanese-friendly place that’s nonetheless distinctly American, with all that implies.

Kurt Cobain’s daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, married Tony Hawk’s son, Riley Hawk, earlier this month.
Frances’ godfather, Michael Stipe, reportedly officiated the ceremony, which took place in Los Angeles on October 7.
The couple confirmed their relationship in February 2022, though speculation about their romance began in 2021.
Earlier this year, Frances shared a slideshow with Riley on Instagram.
“I wanted to share a few moments that were captured / created this past year that brought me a great amount of joy,” Frances wrote.
Frances was previously married to musician Isaiah Silva from 2014 to 2017. Frances did not have a prenup, and their divorce may have cost her dearly.
The marriage to Frances, however, is Riley’s first.
Frances has been estranged from her mother for years, but they appeared together at a Kurt Cobain documentary premiere at Sundance in 2015.

Congratulations are in order to Frances Bean Cobain, daughter of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, and Riley Hawk, son of Tony Hawk and Cindy Dunbar, who recently got married.
TMZ reports that Frances, 31, and Riley, 30, tied the knot in Los Angeles on October 7th in a ceremony officiated by Frances’ godfather, R.E.M.’s Michael Stipe.
Frances and Tony first went public with their relationship in January 2022, although it is believed they began dating a year earlier.
Frances was previously married to musician Isaiah Silva, but they separated in 2017. A messy divorce followed, culminating in Silva allegedly auctioning off Kurt Cobain’s 1959 Martin D-18E acoustic-electric guitar (famously used during Nirvana’s MTV Unplugged set) against the wishes of Frances and her mother.
While primarily a visual artist and model, Frances has released several of her own original songs via social media over the last several years. However, she...

Director Sam Jones won plaudits earlier this year for his HBO documentary “Jason Isbell: Running With Our Eyes Closed,” one of the best-regarded music docs since his own “I Am Trying to Break Your Heart: A Film About Wilco” back in 2001. He also got attention this year for his HBO documentary series “Smartless: On the Road,” with Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Sean Hayes. But he doesn’t go on-camera himself with those particular doc projects, the way he did in his long-running talk show “Off Camera With Sam Jones,” which ran for 220 episodes on DirecTV from 2013 through 2020.

Legendary skateboarder Tony Hawk is recalling the time he was hired as David Spade’s stunt double in 1987’s Police Academy 4: Citizens on Patrol, but it didn’t go as planned, all thanks to puberty.
During the latest episode of Spade’s Fly on the Wall podcast, which he co-hosts with Dana Carvey, Hawk revealed that he initially auditioned for a role in the movie, which follows a group of civilian volunteers who are hired to work alongside police officers to fight crime.
Though he didn’t land a lead role, he said the film’s team decided to hire him as a stand in for Spade during scenes with complex skate tricks and since they are both goofy-footed. The Saturday Night Live alum played Kyle in the movie, a skater who was put in the program as punishment for his crimes.

Before Tony Hawk was a household name with his own skateboard company, video game franchise, and more, he signed on to serve as David Spade‘s stunt double in Police Academy 4: Citizens on Patrol. Unfortunately, he didn’t get to spend a whole lot of time on the project as he was fired for growing a little too quickly.
While appearing on David Spade’s Fly on the Wall podcast (h/t EW), Tony Hawk discussed his time on Police Academy 4: Citizens on Patrol and how he came to be booted from the movie. “I went through a growth spurt, from the time we tried out [for the movie] to the time we got there, and so for the first week, they were like, ‘I think that guy is too tall,’” Hawk said. “And I remember the director saying ‘y’know, he’s a pretty good skater but he’s a bad stunt double!

Tony Hawk was fired as David Spade’s stunt double in 1987’s Police Academy 4: Citizens on Patrol.
Spade’s podcast, “Fly on the Wall,” hosted Hawk and revealed his brief tenure as Spade’s skating doppleganger in the film. Hawk was required to double as Spade in scenes with complicated skate tricks.
There was one hang-up with that.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and music go together like the Ninja Turtles and pizza; the two are intrinsically linked. From the iconic theme song of the 1987 animated series, to Vanilla Ice’s tie-in “Ninja Rap” for 1991’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze, and even their semi-forgotten 1990 stage rock and roll musical Coming Out of Their Shells, no matter the genre, these green teens are always rocking big tunes.
With music playing such a big role in the Turtles’ history, director Jeff Rowe and executive producer Seth Rogen had to be extra thoughtful when selecting the songs for the soundtrack of the Turtles’ latest film, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. With its distinctive animation style, the feature film finds our pizza-loving Turtles escaping their sheltered existence in the sewers as they seek to be accepted as normal teenagers through acts of heroism.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem is getting a much higher profile score than anyone thought, with none other than Tony Hawk leaking the news that Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross are scoring the animated film. The movie’s director, Jeff Rowe, confirmed the news on Twitter, writing:

When it comes to earworms that instantly conjure memories of sitting cross-legged in front of the TV on a Saturday morning, it's hard to beat the theme song for the original "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" cartoon series. The invigorating hype track about the "heroes in a half-shell" was composed by Dennis C. Brown and Chuck Lorre. James Mandell, who provided the vocals, told Dish Nation that he was a session singer in the 1980s and one day he "got a call to come in and sing a tune with a 'wacky' lyric."
Now, Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor (also known for his wacky lyrics) and his longtime collaborator, Atticus Ross, are bringing their musical talents to the underworld of the Turtles. The news was let slip by professional skateboarder Tony Hawk, who recently visited Reznor to shoot a music video cameo appearance for a cover of Nine Inch Nails' "Wish.

Darby Allin is the resident daredevil of All Elite Wrestling (Aew), but the self-belief required to take such dangerous risks didn’t apply to all aspects of his career evenly. It does now.
A leap of faith off a 20-foot ladder comes a lot more naturally to Allin than speaking with conviction on a microphone. Now a self-anointed “promo guy,” Allin finally believes in the full scope of his talents. It’s an exciting development for an artist who walks, skates and freefalls to the beat of his own drum. Because The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is an open-world title, its developers had to completely rethink how players would get around Hyrule. Their work created numerous fun mechanics, the best of which is arguably shield surfing. That feature returns in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and is better than ever.
Shield surfing in Tears of the Kingdom is exactly what it sounds like: Link pulls out his shield and rides it like a surfboard. Performing this trick is as easy as holding Zl to ready the shield, jumping with X, and finally pressing the A button in the air. When done correctly, Link channels his inner Tony Hawk.
Since shield surfing relies on the game’s physics engine, it usually only works while traveling downhill (more on that in a bit). Once Link runs out of fresh slope, his shield will quickly run out of momentum.

Skate legend Tony Hawk has long been associated with alternative music via the soundtracks to his prolific video game franchise Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater. For many young gamers in the ’90s and 2000s, these licensed soundtracks served as an introduction to rock, metal, and punk music that was sometimes too extreme or underground for the radio.
In his latter career, Hawk has embraced his cult rock hero status, hosting major bands at his Weekend Jam skate exhibition and recently joining Goldfinger onstage for the Pro Skater staple “Superman.” Now, Tony has teamed with an all-star backing band for a cover Nine Inch Nails’ “Wish” featuring current and former members of The Dillinger Escape Plan (Ben Weinman), The Bronx (Brad Magers), Every Time I Die (Ryan Leger), and more.

The Masked Singer made its American debut in 2019 after getting its start in South Korea. The show, which features celebrities singing songs while wearing head-to-toe costumes, hosts panelists who interpret clues in order to try and guess the singers’ identities.
The show has been a huge hit since its premiere, winning or being nominated for numerous awards. But concealing the singers’ identities until each reveal takes an extraordinary amount of effort. This includes some rather bizarre rules.

The show has been a huge hit since its premiere, winning or being nominated for numerous awards. But concealing the singers’ identities until each reveal takes an extraordinary amount of effort. This includes some rather bizarre rules.

The entertainment industry is undergoing significant disruption as branded content and brand experiences rival those of major television and movie studios. The future of entertainment lies within the realm of our phones, where creators take center stage, and marketers produce the show,” said Krishna Subramanian Co-Founder and CEO of Captiv8. “It’s an honor to celebrate some of the most unique leaders who are pushing the limits of creator marketing.

Can Metallica actually master puppets? That was the question posed to the metal icons on Wednesday night’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, resulting in a hilarious sketch. Oh, and the band also rocked an epic rendition of “Master of Puppets” on the show.
Following his monologue, host Jimmy Kimmel introduced a pre-taped segment in which the four members of Metallica went to marionette school to learn how to become puppeteers. After a quick lesson from the pros, the Rock & Roll Hall of Famers were tasked with performing a theatrical production in front of a group of young children.
Lars Ulrich had the honor of appearing first, controlling a cactus puppet, as he began the story of how Metallica became a band in an amusing high-pitched voice. James Hetfield came out next, manipulating a cat puppet. Soon followed Kirk Hammett, the donkey, and Robert Trujillo, the invisible man.
