- Jon Bachmann was a finalist in his first fiction writing contest at the age of 18 with the Villa Montalvo Young Writers Competition. He studied film theory and creative writing at SFSU and the screenwriting program at UCLA.
He works as an editor, writer and producer. Jon has been nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards with one win for editing The Amazing Race. His screenplays and pilots have been semi-finalists in the Nicholl Fellowship, Cinestory Fellowship, Zoetrope Screenplay Competition, Austin Screenwriting Competition, Page Screenwriting Awards, Tracking Board, and the UCLA Screenwriting Competition.
