- Starting from the shop floor, Kim is one of the last Production Designers/Art Directors apprenticed in the original studio traditions. Entering the industry in the late 70s and trained by some of the best in the industry, by 1984 Kim opened Starlight Effects for design, commercials, props, mechanicals & visual effects. Noted for work on Star Trek, Stargate, Mission Impossible, Deep Impact, Mission to Mars and Space Above & Beyond, it's his Web Series that has recognized his talents with the inaugural Streamy Award for Production Design in 2009.
