Michael Johnston (aka Micheal Baldwin; aka Michael Badger)was born March 17th, 1966 in Weston, Ontario, Canada. He published his first short story, "Gilroy, the Ghost Who Wouldn't Glow" at the ripe old age of nine.
He broke into radio and advertising at 17 years old and worked in Langley, Saskatoon and Toronto before heading to Los Angeles. His award winning screenplay "Understanding Virginia", along with his ear for dialogue, earned him rewriting jobs on several motion pictures and television shows before being commissioned to write Landspeed starring Billy Zane. Several more commissions followed before seeing his first original screenplay "Dumping Grounds" go into production with Core Productions (Later released as Subject 15)
In 2010, he turned his attention to writing graphic novels and touring as a stand up comic under the name Michael Badger.
Michael has two children and lives in Calgary, Alberta.
