Like Cryer, Spencer found success as an actor while she was still a teen. And, despite the age gap, she is now starring as Cryer’s ex-wife on the sitcom Extended Family. When we talked to Spencer, she admitted she’s been a fan of Cryer’s for a long, long time, and she’s thrilled to finally get the opportunity to work with him. Extended Family — Jon Cryer– (Photo by: Ron Batzdorff/NBC) While the premise of Extended Family is, indeed, rife with comedic possibilities, the funniest part of it might be that it’s actually based on real people. Yes, the creators of the show — which focuses on a divorced couple who split time in their own home so that their kids have just one place to live — used a real-life situation to craft the show’s premise. Jon Cryer, who stars on the show, said he thinks that being based on real people makes the show even more interesting than it might have been otherwise. As SAG-AFTRA and the WGA continue to strike and fight for a new deal, the picket lines are remaining full. In fact, they’re so full that multiple series have seen cast and crew reunions while marching.
Some have been spontaneous, as old colleagues run into each other by chance at a given location. Others have been planned, making sure to get as many members out on the lines as possible. So, we rounded up some of the biggest ones, ranging from shows long since ended, to those still fresh in our hearts.
You can check out some of the biggest reunions in the photos below.

This Is Us fans, could it be time to once again recite the Pearson family chant of “Big 3!”? Chrissy Metz isn’t counting out the possibility as the actress recently expressed hopes for the family’s future onscreen. Ending last spring, the family drama that unfolded over various decades followed the Pearsons made up of patriarch Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) and matriarch Rebecca (Mandy Moore) and their three kids, Kate (Metz), Randall (Sterling K. Brown), and Kevin (Justin Hartley). While some stories came to their conclusion at the end of the series created by Dan Fogelman, it’s expansive nature certainly lends itself to revisiting, something Metz isn’t opposed to. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, when asked about a reunion, Metz said, “I would [be down],” going so far as to say, “I’m like, where would it be set?” (Credit: Ron Batzdorff/NBC) The show moved back and forth through time,...

Mandy Moore is so closely tied to the character of This Is Us‘ Rebecca Pearson that some fans wonder if she will take the route of her former alter-ego regarding the number of children she will have. At the core of their storyline, Rebecca and Jack (co-star Milo Ventimiglia) raised three kids throughout six seasons of the NBC series: Kate, Kevin, and Randall. The actor, a parent to two children, has revealed if she has plans for her own “big three” at the Goldsmith home.

No TV show has truly had a series finale as long as the network or streaming service can produce a revival. TV sitcoms like Full House, Saved by the Bell, and Will & Grace returned. Dramas have reunited their casts, or at least passed the torch to the next generation. Here are six of the best TV drama revivals of the last decade.
Raymond Lee and Caitlin Bassett | Ron Batzdorff/NBC ‘Dallas’ revived the TV drama until real-life tragedy occurred
TNT brought back the hit drama Dallas with original cast members Larry Hagman, Patrick Duffy, and Linda Gray as the original Ewings. Jesse Metcalfe, Josh Henderson, Jordana Brewster, Julie Gonzalo, and Emma Bell played the new generation battling over the family oil business.
Unfortunately, Hagman died while filming the second season. The show quickly adjusted existing footage to explain J.R. Ewing’s off screen death, but the show could never recover.

The second season of Bel-Air, the dramatic reimagining of the hit ‘90s sitcom Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, is in full swing, and so is the fashion.
Every Thursday, the cast is dressed in fashion-forward looks, starting in episode one with Jabari Banks’ Will wearing a purple-and-red suit from Grayscale, the luxury Los Angeles-based fashion house worn by stars including Nope’s Daniel Kaluuya, The Woman King’s Viola Davis and NBA player Kyle “Kuz” Kuzma.
Like the original, the Bel-Air characters use their fashion as a form of self-expression. Will Smith is the athlete from Philly who likes to dress in urban wear as a nod to where he’s from. Hilary Banks is the classy and polished girl boss of the family, and Carlton Banks is the outwardly prim and proper student, who wears only pants that stop above his ankle. Quantum Leap-Caitlin Bassett as Addison — (Photo by: Ron Batzdorff/NBC) Caitlin Bassett knows what it’s like to work on top-secret government projects. After all, she spent several years working in U.S. Army Intelligence and the National Security Administration. And that, no doubt, will help her bring some authenticity to the top-secret government project she’s part of on Quantum Leap. What she didn’t have was a lot of high-profile acting experience; Leap is her first television acting gig. When we spoke to her about the drastic career change, she admitted to us that she’s still surprised she landed a job on a major network show so quickly.(Click on the media bar below to hear Caitlin Bassett) https://www.hollywoodoutbreak.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/Caitlin_Bassett_Military_Quantum_Leap_.mp3 Quantum Leap airs Mondays at 10/9c on NBC, and episodes start streaming the following day on Peacock.

Physicist Dr. Ben Song (Raymond Lee) leaps from being part of a gang attempting to steal the Hope Diamond in episode one to being a member of the Atlantis space shuttle crew in NBC’s Quantum Leap episode two. All his friends and fellow lab employees hoped he’d leap from 1985 back to the present, but that’s definitely not the case as he’s currently stuck in 1998.
The space shuttle successfully launches and even reluctant traveler Ben’s wowed by the view from space. Their mission is to put the first piece of the International Space Station in place, and he listens to pilot Samantha Stratton (Carly Pope) and Commander Jim Reynolds (Jose Zuniga) exchange friendly banter. Stratton promises she’s going to make Reynolds proud as Ben is mesmerized by the stars.

Quantum Leap – Pictured: Caitlin Bassett as Addison — (Photo by: Ron Batzdorff/NBC) The new Quantum Leap series picks up the story of the Quantum Leap project about three decades after the original series ended, a fact that is an integral part of the new series. Caitlin Bassett co-stars as the holographic guide for the show’s new leaper, Dr. Ben Song, and she told us that, while the basic premise of the show remains the same, the new version is definitely an update, with new technology, new mythology, and an increased focus on the characters working on the project in the present day. [Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Quantum Leap, Season 1, Episode 1, “July 13th, 1985.”] NBC‘s new Quantum Leap series has arrived and is paying homage to its predecessor, while also paving a new path for its own hero, Ben Song (Raymond Lee). But how does it stand up next to the original Quantum Leap which followed the adventures of Scott Bakula‘s Sam Beckett? That’s for fans to decide. In the premiere episode, “July 13th, 1985,” Ben finds himself being lured away from his and fiance Addison Augustine’s (Caitlin Bassett) engagement party by some urgent texts from an unidentified individual. (Credit: Ron Batzdorff/NBC) When Addison and Ben’s colleagues realize he’s missing, they discover he’s leaped into the body of a man participating in a robbery back in 1985, hence the episode title. The catch? He didn’t warn anyone and can’t remember his true identity once in this body and time period.

NBC’s Quantum Leap season one episode one does exactly what it needs to do. It introduces the new quantum leaper – Dr. Ben Song played by Raymond Lee (Kevin Can F**k Himself) – while paying respect to the original series that premiered in 1989 and ran for five seasons. It’s an updated sequel that retains much of what made the original series with Scott Bakula so entertaining. There’s the science stuff, of course, but there’s also a healthy mix of heart and humor.
2022’s Quantum Leap is a continuation of the original show and includes multiple references to Dr. Sam Beckett’s (Bakula) disappearance after stepping into the Quantum Leap Accelerator in 1995. Since then, the program’s been revived by the government with a new team...

Quantum Leap – Pictured: (l-r) Raymond Lee as Dr. Ben Song, Caitlin Bassett as Addison — (Photo by: Ron Batzdorff/NBC) Since the original version of Quantum Leap ended 29 years ago, there have been plenty of rumors (not to mention pleas from fans) to bring back the show so we could find out, once and for all, what happened to Dr. Sam Beckett. Although that original cast reunion never happened — and, with the death of Dean Stockwell last year, never will — the show is finally returning with a new version that is more of a sequel than a reboot. Martin Gero, an executive producer and the showrunner for the new Quantum Leap, says the new show will definitely honor the mythology built up during the show’s first run, but they also wanted to make it something that first-time watchers would be able to easily follow. It took nearly three decades, but fans of one classic cult series can finally look at 2022 as “Leap year.” NBC has hit the refresh button and brought back Quantum Leap, the wildly inventive and beloved time-travel drama that aired 97 endlessly engaging episodes from 1989 to 1993. The new sequel series is a unique kind of returning favorite, tweaking the original concept while maintaining its signature humor, hope, history, and heart — and holding fast to a continuity with its past. Given that the show will compete on a big-budget TV landscape luring viewers to Middle-earth and Westeros this fall, executive producer Martin Gero (Blindspot) believes it’s vital to court Leap’s devoted fanbase. “Just the announcement that we were maybe doing this trended on Twitter immediately,” he says. I remember my mom begging me to watch "This Is Us" back when it first hit the air in 2016, and as soon as I tuned in, I became forever intertwined with the story of the Pearson family. Part of what makes this show so heartwarmingly unique is the family's diversity and the wide range of challenges the characters endure throughout the series. It provides a viewing experience where anyone and everyone watching can find a character to relate to in one way or another. The show's wholesome nature and endless parallels between the Pearsons' story and any family were what made it so special. After six years of captivating hearts nationwide, the emotional series finale of "This Is Us" aired on May 24 and left me with a reminder of exactly why I connected so deeply with this make-believe family from the very beginning.

Broken down into numbers, that’s 6 million total viewers. (Credit: Ron Batzdorff/NBC) According to Variety, this result places the finale above Season 6’s other memorable episodes including the penultimate episode, “The Train,” which garnered a 0.95 rating among adults 18-49 and entranced 5.3 million viewers. These numbers are reflective of a time-zone adjusted Live+Same Day rating.
