A&E’s stunningly tenacious police drama Unforgettable is finally dead and gone, sources confirm.
The Poppy Montgomery vehicle concluded its fourth season last month, and the network has decided against ordering another set of episodes, marking the third cancellation for the series, which started at CBS back in 2011.
That network first put Unforgettable on the chopping block in 2012, after its freshman run failed to impress execs (though, oddly, it did average 12.1 million viewers, not a number to scoff at). CBS later reversed its decision to pull the plug, airing second and third seasons in the summers of 2013 and 2014.
Still unsatisfied with the ratings, CBS axed the show yet again, only for A&E to come to the rescue a few months later and order a fourth season, which premiered in November. This was back when A&E was looking to build up its original programming slate with programs with already existent fan followings,...

We have another story of a network saving another show. This time it is reported that A&E picked up CBS’ cancelled Unforgettable. Poppy Montgomery and Dylan Walsh’s show was cancelled earlier and caused a lot of upset as fans enjoyed their dynamic. Now we hear that A&E is working to wrap up the deal for a 13 episode season. Both Poppy and Dylan are reportedly in the deal, so their returns are highly likely. The show has been cancelled by CBS twice once after their first season and again after their third. No word on when they hope for it to air.
I am sure Poppy and Dylan must be feeling so blessed. To have a third chance on TV is almost unheard of, but their fans must be doing something correctly to keep it being saved. I am sure A&E has big plans if they are...

It looks like TV networks are having a hard time forgetting this one. A&E Network is set to revive Unforgettable for a fourth season, according to Deadline, The crime procedural will return with 13-episodes and its two leads, Poppy Montgomery and Dylan Walsh, who had to make new deals as their options had expired. But it's actually not the first time the series, which was created by John Bellucci and Ed Redlich (who will return as executive producers for the fourth season revival), has come back from the dead: CBS canceled the series after its first season, only to reverse their decision and bring it back for a second season. The network then canceled it again in October 2014, after its...

Jacob Groth is the composer of the new CBS crime drama Unforgettable. The show is based on J. Robert Lennon’s short story The Rememberer and adapted for television by Ed Redlich (Withot a Trace) and John Bellucci. The series stars Poppy Montgomery as a former New York City police detective who suffers from hyperthymesia, a rare medical condition that gives her the ability to remember everything. Dylan Walsh (Nip/Tuck), Kevin Rankin (Trauma), Michael Gaston and Daya Vaidaya are co-starring. Carl Beverly and Sarah Timberman (Kidnapped) are producing the project with Redlch and Bellucci. Niels Arden Oplev directed the pilot. Groth has previously scored the director’s The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. Unforgettable marks the Danish composer’s first major scoring assignment in the Us. The show is set to debut on September 20, 2011 and will be airing every Tuesday night on CBS. For updates, visit the official Unforgettable website.

As the networks roll out their fall schedules, CBS gets a chance to spend a lot of its day milling around the free snack table while surfing for new Apps. Whatever your thoughts might be on whether or not CBS has hot women, and is or isn't a network for old people (which it A- does, and B- nevertheless largely is), the fact is that they aren't rolling out a lot of new shows. P.S. don't write letters, if you haven't heard about CBS claiming it isn't for old people (or just for old people, I suppose) and has "hot women," that's not my fault.
You could go either way with the general idea that CBS is only putting out five new shows, while the other networks seem to have more new shows than they can juggle at once. On the one hand, CBS might be resting on its...

Former "Without a Trace" star Poppy Montgomery returns to CBS this fall as the star of "Unforgettable," playing a character with a memory that puts elephants to shame.
She plays Carrie Wells, a former detective who has hyperthymesia, a rare condition that makes her remember just about everything she's ever experienced. In the pilot, she's a witness to a murder, which brings her back in contact with her ex-partner and ex-boyfriend (Dylan Walsh, "Nip/Tuck"). She soon becomes a consultant to the NYPD, putting her total recall to use in homicide cases.
If Carrie's condition sounds familiar, you may have seen a "60 Minutes" piece about actress Marilu Henner and a handful of other people who have hyperthymesia a few months back. Henner is now a consultant on "Unforgettable."
"Without a Trace" veterans Ed Redlich and John Bellucci created "Unforgettable," which also stars Kevin Rankin ("Friday Night Lights," "Trauma"), Michael Gaston ("Jericho"), and Daya Vaidya.

CBS announced its 2011-2012 primetime fall schedule today. The most anticipated show for me is J.J. Abrams' Person of Interest starring Jim Caviezel, Michael Emmerson and Taraji P. Henson. I am also a huge fan of Kat Dennings, so it will be neat to see how 2 Broke Girls turns out. There are a total of three new dramas, two new comedies, and 19 returning series.

Two and a Half Men is staying put and CSI is getting the boot.
CBS unveiled its fall scheduled keeping Big Bang Theory on Thursdays and shifts veteran CSI from its longtime Thursday night anchor slot.
The network announced several new drams. J.J. Abrams’ Person of Interest stars Jim Caviezel and Michael Emerson as an ex-cia agent and a billionaire who team to stop crimes. Interest gets to take over the coveted CSI spot on Thursdays. CBS also shifted The Good Wife to Sundays. “To move CSI out of that time period you need big guns and we do,” says CBS entertainment president Nina Tassler.

Irony of the week: NBC, which just very publicly parted ways with "Tonight Show" host Conan O'Brien, is back in business with him via his production company.

"How I Met Your Mother" creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas' new comedy project is going to CBS.
The network has swooped in to pre-emptively buy the hot spec by Bays and Thomas and "HIMYM" writer-producers Kourtney Kang and Joe Kelly, now titled "Livin' on a Prayer."
Additionally, CBS has ordered two drama pilots: "Chaos," from executive producer Brett Ratner, and an untitled procedural from Ed Redlich ("Without a Trace").

Sci Fi Channel has greenlighted Revolution, a two-hour futuristic action-drama pilot from writers Ed Redlich and John Bellucci, with Simon West in negotiations to direct.
Redlich describes the project, from CBS Paramount Network Television, as "re-envisioning the American Revolution 200 years in the future."
Revolution is set in New America, a distant colony on an Earth-like planet struggling for its independence from an increasingly hostile homeland, the United State.
"It centers on two multigenerational families related by marriage -- a loyalist family and a family that is leaning toward rebellion -- and how the impending revolution impacts their lives," said Redlich, a veteran showrunner.
Revolution has been a "huge passion project" for longtime friends Redlich and Bellucci, both U.S. history and sci-fi buffs, who first developed it with West for CBS two years ago.
"It's taken two years to find it a home, but I think we found the dream home for it at Sci Fi," Bellucci said, praising CBS Par for sticking with the project.
