He gained his first acting experiences at the "Unterhaus" in Mainz,
where he performed in "Frank Tragelein - oder: Die Hoelle ist kalt",
"Picknick im Felde", "Voll auf der Rolle", "Momo" and "Frühlings
Erwachen" between 1985 and 1987. In 1989, only two years after starting
training at the "Tanz-Gesang-Studio Theater an der Wien", he was
offered the part of Tumblebrutus and understudy of Mungo Jerry in
"Cats" (Vienna). Other leading roles in "Into The Woods", "La Cage Aux
Folles", P. Burkhardt's lyrical drama "Feuerwerk" and "Gesucht: Robin
Hood" by T. Enzinger were soon to follow. In 1992 Andreas originated
the role of Erzherzog Rudolf in the Austrian production of "Elisabeth".
Between 1993 and 1994 he also starred in "La Legende de Jimmy" by
Plamondon, "Pirates of Penzance" and "Grease", before performing as
Philipp in the German TV sopa "Marienhof" in 1995. In the following
year he played the lead in "Blondel" during the summer festival weeks
in Amstetten, Austria. Since December 1996 Andreas has been starring in
the new German production or ALW's "Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor
Dreamcoat", and is currently working on his first solo
album.
