Bridgerton is one of Netflix’s biggest shows. The drama series is based on the believed Bridgerton books by Julia Quinn. Since the series debuted, fans have been delighted with the romance and glamour of the 19th-century regency era in Britain. Season 3 is currently in production. The upcoming season will center on the relationship between Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton).
Colin will have a major character evolution in Bridgerton Season 3.
(L to R) Ben Miller as Lord Featherington, Polly Walker as Portia Featherington, Bessie Carter as Prudence Featherington, Harriet Cains as Phillipa Featherington, Luke Newton as Colin Bridgerton and Ruby Barker as Marina Thompson | Nick Briggs/Netflix Penelope and Colin won’t be on speaking terms when ‘Bridgerton’ Season 3 begins
At the end of the second season of Bridgerton, Penelope was absolutely crushed when she overheard Colin telling his friends he would never view her in a romantic way.

Warning: contains spoilers for “The Power of the Doctor”.
So, “The Power of the Doctor” achieved the one thing that everyone said could not be done in the age of modern telly. A genuine regeneration surprise. Well, nearly. There were some internet rumours and theories. But for the casual viewer, and Doctor Who’s most important viewers: actual children who don’t spend their time on pop culture websites, this was a mind-blowing twist they will remember for years to come.
After months of touting Ncuti Gatwa as the Fourteenth Doctor, we watched Jodie Whittaker say “Tag, you’re it!”, explode in a glowing firework display and transform into… David Tennant?
There is no way of knowing how or why the Doctor’s regeneration has resulted in the emergence of this extremely familiar face. But is that going to stop us from coming up with wild theories and guesswork? Of course not.

A female voiceover conveys the tricks of the trade in Declan Lawn and Adam Patterson’s high-stakes and sly spy thriller Rogue Agent (co-written with Michael Bronner who wrote the original unpublished article on the case) and shot by Larry Smith. We are informed that for an instant connection we should look into a stranger’s eyes exactly long enough to register their colour. Good spies hide in plain sight. Most effectively, they find out which story the other person is dying to be told.

Something that Doctor Who fans thought would never happen actually came to pass recently, as Christopher Eccleston returned to play the Ninth Doctor in a new audio drama series. The boxset doesn’t come out until next spring, but the actor – who starred in the sci-fi show for just one season in 2005 – shared a selfie on social media that confirmed he’s begun recording. And it sounds like it’s gone well so far, too.
Eccleston appeared on the latest episode of The Big Finish Podcast this week and revealed that he “really enjoyed” playing the Ninth Doctor again and reconnecting with the character after a decade and a half.
“I really enjoyed it. I really enjoyed playing him again. As I always said, he’s always a joy to play, somebody with that amount of optimism, enthusiasm and brains – and heart… two hearts!”

The BBC’s 2005 relaunch of Doctor Who continues to be a success. Since it began, we’ve seen the show go through many different Doctors, build a fervent international audience and show us a whole bunch of juicy capers spanning time and space. But the series’ return didn’t go as smoothly as the producers hoped.
Ninth Doctor Christopher Eccleston was praised for his performance, though left the show after just one season due to conflicts with the production staff. Of course, the nature of Doctor Who meant it was fairly easy to regenerate him into David Tennant, but that bad blood ensured that Eccleston has been absent from every multi-Doctor special – he was particularly missed in the 50th anniversary spectacular. But now, 15 years after he vowed never to step into a Tardis again, he’s back.

Something that Doctor Who fans thought they’d never see is actually happening. Christopher Eccleston, who’s stood apart from the sci-fi franchise since he left after just one season back in 2005, is returning as the Ninth Doctor for a new series of official audio dramas. The news was revealed earlier this year and this week, Eccleston confirmed that he’s started recording the audio series by sharing a sneak peek at the script for the first episode on social media.
Obviously, this has got Whovians wondering if the next move for the Thor: The Dark World actor is for him to dust off his battered leather jacket and return to Doctor Who on TV, too. One of the most ambitious projects is Daleks!, an animated webseries focusing on the Doctor’s oldest enemies, and the first episode is available to view now on YouTube.
Titled “The Archive of Islos,” the 13-minute action-packed adventure sees the Daleks invade the planet Islos as part of their scheme to get their sucker arms on the Archive of Islos, a vast resource of valuable knowledge. The UK's BBC Studios Digital, as part of the event "Time Lord Victorious" will produce "Daleks!, a five-part CG animated series, showcasing the "Doctor Who" cyborg alien mutants, written by James Goss for Studio Liddell and voiced by Nicholas Briggs, Joe Sugg, Anjli Mohindra and Ayesha Antoine, launching November 2020 on YouTube's "Doctor Who" Channel:
"The 'Dalek Empire' comes up against a terrible force. The Daleks' plundering of the 'Archive of Islos' unearths something ancient and deadly.
"Soon 'Skaro' is under attack and the 'Dalek Emperor' is on the run! Can the Daleks defeat their adversaries and regain their planet, even with help from an old enemy..."
The 'Daleks' are violent, merciless and pitiless aliens, who demand total conformity to their will and are bent on the conquest of the universe and the extermination of what they see as inferior races. Collectively they are the greatest enemies of the 'Time Lord' known as 'the Doctor'.

When Doctor Who came back in 2005 under Russell T. Davies, The Doctor changed his face yet again. And this time around, it was the talented British actor Christopher Eccleston who portrayed the Last of the Time Lords.
The Ninth Doctor had a lot riding on his performance, too. After all, the legendary sci-fi series had already gone through one cancellation. So, in every sense of the word, Davies and his team had to stick the landing and ‘regenerate’ Doctor Who. If that weren’t enough, his characterization was also a unique take on the Time Lord. While the then-showrunner only briefly touched on the subject of the Last Great Time War, we later learned that the 9th was fresh out of his most horrific experience in life, having destroyed the Time Lords and the Daleks alike to save the universe.

The Ninth Doctor is coming back to the Tardis, more than 15 years after Christopher Eccleston quit the newly revived Doctor Who after just one series in the lead role. BBC Studios and Big Finish have announced that Eccleston will lead the cast in a series of new audio adventures, the first volume of which is due to arrive in May 2021.
The behind-the-scenes difficulties that led to Eccleston’s exit from BBC One’s Doctor Who in 2005 are no secret, adding extra interest over the years to the regularly raised question of any potential return. Unlike his successor David Tennant, who returned alongside previous incumbent Tom Baker for 50th anniversary special The Day of the Doctor, Eccleston has not to date taken part in any multi-Doctor stories, anniversary celebrations or spin-offs. That makes this audio series a significant return for fans of the ninth Doctor.

We’ve got a long wait ahead of us for season 13 of Doctor Who. The show already has a reputation for lengthy gaps between seasons and Coronavirus slamming the brakes on the British television industry means we’ll likely be waiting until mid to late 2021. Fortunately, it’s sounding like this year’s Christmas special, “Revolution of the Daleks” is still on track, as that’s already in post-production.
But Doctor Who fans will know that the show is far from limited to television screens. As such, this year’s big Doctor Who event, Time Lord Victorious, is getting a lot of attention. This will be an epic story involving three Doctors: the Eighth (Paul McGann), Ninth (Christopher Eccleston) and Tenth (David Tennant). The arc spans practically every form of media outside of TV, including novels, comics, audio dramas, video games and apparently, even escape rooms.

Doctor Who is reviving a story from one of our favorite Doctors as a Big Finish audio drama. And they’re going through the extra effort of bringing back the original cast members.
Coming to terms with a new Doctor is a challenge that all Whovians, at some point in their lives, confront. It’s a cycle that keeps repeating itself where at first you’ve yet to let go of the previous actor but ultimately end up falling in love with the new one, only for the showrunners to change things up all over again. That being said, and considering the show’s 50 plus year history, if you ask fans to choose the best Doctor, it would either be Tom Baker’s Fourth Doctor or David Tennant’s Tenth, as both have portrayed the Last of the Time Lords in a way as to stand the test of time.

Doctor Who Season 11 Episode 11
There’s an old saying on the internet: trailers always lie. Marvel, in particular, have gotten the practice of portraying how a movie is going to feel, not to mention dangling story threads and possible confrontations, down to a fine art. Sometimes this requires withholding information from the audience; occasionally it means flat-out falsehoods, like a certain large green chap appearing in the Infinity War teaser in scenes where he didn’t, as it were, exist.
"Resolution" probably didn’t have the remit nor the budget to go inventing entirely fictional scenes to get people excited, but there’s a sense that it might have liked to.

A shocking rumor has been doing the rounds of late: according to some sources, Chris Chibnall – who only just joined the series – could be stepping down from his post as Doctor Who‘s showrunner due to a fallout with the BBC. The story goes that he’s set to helm season 12 and then be on his way, with his Doctor Jodie Whittaker likely following him out the door.
Obviously, this is far from confirmed, and if anything, the evidence suggests the exact opposite, as the corporation would surely want to keep Chibnall happy now that the show’s shooting up the ratings board. However, let’s assume that there’s some truth in it. Who would be the best choice to take over from Chibnall and become the fourth showrunner of the modern series of Doctor Who?
Express asked a range of fans this question and they supplied a few top contenders.

We take a look at the off-screen actors who helped define their corner of the genre.
This article comes from Den of Geek UK.
So much visual design goes into good sci-fi that it’s sometimes easy to overlook the sounds. World-building doesn't happen in silence though, and the voice actors who record their lines off-set and out of costume have helped shaped the genre into what it is – providing chilling, mellifluous, gravelly, or downright otherworldly vocal performances to some of the most iconic characters in film and TV.
These, then, are the most memorable voices in sci-fi – the growling, lisping, singing, monologuing heroes and villains who made pop-culture history from a lonely sound booth.

It’s fair to say that the Doctor is one of the biggest roles on TV, so it’s often the case that, when the actors playing the Time Lord end their stint on Doctor Who, they fail to top the part that will end up defining their careers. It seems Peter Capaldi is well aware of this, too, as he recently joked that he’ll be “a nobody” once he’s done with the show.
In an article featured in the latest issue of Doctor Who Magazine (via Radio Times), Nicholas Briggs – who voices the Daleks – talked about the experience of attending Peter Capaldi’s final day of filming on Doctor Who, which occurred last month. Naturally, it was a very emotional day, but Capaldi kept the mood up with his self-deprecating humour.

When it comes to Doctor Who, the character often wins over the audiences because they are kind-hearted and in many ways, are the saviour (or Doctor) we need. While a lot of focus does get given to the ‘new’ breed of Doctors, for fans of the old school we are spoilt for choice with who is the best. One that is high on my list has to be Jon Pertwee, which is why The Doctors: The Jon Pertwee Years was such a joy to watch.
A collection of interviews, The Doctors: The Jon Pertwee Years features Jon Pertwee himself, Katy Manning (Jo Grant), Caroline John (Liz Shaw), Nicholas Courtney (The Brigadier), Richard Franklin (Captain Yates), and John Levene (Sergeant Benton). Interviewed by the voice of the Daleks, Nicholas Briggs. Each interview with the stars of Doctor Who is around one hour in length, so you can imagine how interesting the Jon Pertwee one is.

A revival of classic cult series The Prisoner has cast its new Number Six.
Big Finish - producers of audio drama based on Doctor Who, The Avengers and Blake's 7 - have hired Mark Elstob as the lead for their new series.
Elstob is best known for his stage work, though soap fans will remember his role as Andrew Fraser on Emmerdale from 2001-2002.
The Prisoner originally starred Patrick McGoohan as a former spy trapped in a peculiar - and sinister - village. Robbed of his identity, McGoohan's character was known only as 'Number Six'.
"I knew, of course, that the casting of Number Six was pivotal," said Nicholas Briggs - writer, director and producer on the audio revival. "Patrick McGoohan was the driving force of the original series, both on and off-screen. The new central performance would have to be every bit as powerful in its own way."

Torchwood is returning with a new series of Big Finish audio dramas.
John Barrowman will reprise the role of Captain Jack Harkness in the first of six adventures to be released from September onwards.
The six dramas will each focus on a different member of the Torchwood team, and will explore the impact a mysterious event has on them.
The Conspiracy will be the first audio drama to be released, with Barrowman's Captain Jack at the heart of the adventure. A new drama will then follow each month from January 2016.
On reviving the Doctor Who spin-off with Big Finish, creator Russell T Davies said: "Torchwood has been to the Moon, and America, and the Himalayas, but now I think it's finally coming home, to the brilliance of Big Finish."
Executive producer Nicholas Briggs added: "Torchwood is something we've wanted to do for ages. It has great characters and there are many stories to be told.

Tom Baker is to return as the Doctor for a set of BBC Radio 4 Extra audio dramas.
The six-part series, which was produced by Big Finish Productions and recorded in 2012, will be broadcast for the first time later this month.
Featuring a full voice cast, the first episode is titled 'Destination: Nerva', and sees the Doctor and Leela (played by Tenko's Louise Jameson) investigating an alien distress call that appears to be coming from Victorian England.
Their journey through time and space takes them to the newly built Space Dock Nerva, and sets in motion a homecoming that could put an end to the human race.
Nerva served as a location in the 1975 Doctor Who television episode 'Ark in Space', which inspired writer and director Nicholas Briggs to explore the setting further.

Big Finish is finally entering current Doctor Who continuity with the Unit Extinction adventures, but what does that mean?
During Doctor Who’s 50th anniversary celebrations, everybody had their own favourite moments. Maybe yours was seeing Matt Smith and David Tennant sparring with each other. Maybe it was the “all thirteen!” moment on Gallifrey, seeing Tom Baker turn up at the end to say “Hi! I’m Tom Baker! How cool is that?”, or watching Peter Davison and Colin Baker try and break into the BBC. There was no shortage of punch-the-air moments for fans. But as someone who spent nearly every moment of the anniversary bouncing up and down and literally clapping my hands with glee, the highpoint came towards the end of Paul McGann’s Eighth Doctor short, The Night of the Doctor. Just before he regenerates, he utters the words “Charlie, C'rizz, Lucy, Tamsin, Molly, friends, companions I've known,...

Cult classic TV series The Prisoner is to be revived by audio production company Big Finish.
Best known for its series of Doctor Who audio dramas, Big Finish also produces ranges based on Blake's 7, Terrahawks and The Avengers.
The Prisoner will be a new take on the original '60s series, which starred Patrick McGoohan as a secret agent who finds himself imprisoned in a mysterious village after resigning from his post.
The audio remake will launch with an initial box-set of five CDs - containing four four-hour-long episodes and a behind-the-scenes documentary - in January 2016, with other box sets to follow.
"It won't simply be a slavish retelling of all the original episodes," said Big Finish's co-executive producer Nicholas Briggs. "But aficionados of the original series will certainly recognise much of what they loved about it.
"A lot of the familiar iconography will be there, but my aim is to push the boundaries,...

The Fantastic Voyage-style story is now a largely discredited science fiction plot, roundly avoided by Doctor Who since 1977’s The Invisible Enemy. But the Doctor’s journey into the body of Rusty the damaged Dalek shows that all it needs to work is a healthy suspension of disbelief from the audience.
Although the episode has more than a few similarities to the Series 1 episode Dalek (both stylistically and in terms of story), it also has enough originality to create a strong and engaging story. Particularly since it explores the potential morality of the Daleks more than usual, has a lot of character-specific moments, and provides an entirely new setting for most of the episode. Which allows for a lot of new concepts to be explored (like the reveal of exactly how the Daleks function), and different action elements and directorial techniques since it’s the rarely used idea of exploring a living creature.

Andrew finds out what the latest Doctor Who trailer feat. monsters, Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman tells us about series 8...
Feature
Sandwiched between the final bouts of Alan Hansen punditry (why couldn’t it be Mark Lawrenson retiring?) the new Doctor Who trailer not only kept Alan Shearer off our screens for a minute, but it also had loads of sounds and images. All the better to send our brains into modes of frenzied speculation and anticipation: Capalday is coming.
The trailer suggests two things: monsters and moodiness. There are Silence-handed flame-wielding staring synth-skins, a robot in a castle (most likely from Mark Gatiss’ episode), a ginger-haired thing that spooks Clara, a woman (possibly Clara) falling through the series eleven title sequence, a horse, some explosions, some other explosions throwing new character Danny Pink off his feet, and yet more explosions wracking the Tardis.

Four years after his last directorial outing 4321, Noel Clarke steps back into the director's chair for The Anomaly - a high-concept sci-fi thriller that star Ian Somerhalder has dubbed "The Bourne Identity meets Memento".
As if calling the shots wasn't demanding enough, Clarke also takes on the lead role, playing a soldier who only experiences consciousness for 9 minutes and 47 seconds at a time. It's dizzying for his protagonist, and for the audience along for the ride too. Digital Spy sat down with Clarke to discuss making the film, throwing in Doctor Who cameos and why he's still reaching for the stars.
The Anomaly is the first film you've directed that you haven't written the script for - what was it about Simon Lewis's story that hooked you in?
I just really liked the fact that Simon had written something that could be quite high concept, but at the same...

Review Philip Tibbetts 18 Feb 2014 - 09:11
Philip checks out Big Finish's latest solid, enjoyable Eighth Doctor audio adventure, Dark Eyes 2...
Dark Eyes 2 is the latest instalment of the Eighth Doctor’s continuing Big Finish audio adventures, comprised of four stories: The Traitor, The White Room, Time’s Horizon and The Eyes of the Master. This time around the Doctor finds himself, and former acquaintances, caught up in the machinations of the Daleks and a resurrected Master.
As an ongoing series, Dark Eyes appears to be set in the foreboding twilight of the Eighth Doctor’s life, following on from the harrowing events of Lucie Miller. Dark Eyes is titled after new companion Molly O’Sullivan, the last of the companions named by the dying Doctor in Night of the Doctor.
The first Dark Eyes arc was released back in 2012 and whilst being popular it certainly had flaws. Foremost amongst these...
