Mr. Robot‘s Elliot hatched a last-ditch plan this week to defeat the Dark Army — which proved all good things really do come in threes.
He wakes up from yet another Mr. Robot haze to find the words “They Own The FBI” scrawled on his bathroom mirror. (Who’s “they,” he wonders? The Dark Army?) On the heels of Telefilm Canada’s pledge on November 11 that half of its projects will be directed or written by women in a move to close the industry gender gap by 2020, the Whistler Film Festival (Nov 30 — Dec 4) was proud to present an unprecedented number of female focused films, talent, events and awards throughout its 2016 programs.
The festival featured a record 31 (36%) films all directed by women (including 15 feature films out of 50 and 16 short films out of 36). Wff also has 38 (58%) female filmmakers out of the 66 Canadian artists confirmed to date participating in 11 talent programs — including 22 directors, 6 producers, 3 screenwriters, 2 actors, and 5 musicians/bands in the Music Showcase. Add this to the talent confirmed to attend the festival in support of their films and projects, including award winning director and screenwriter Deepa Mehta (An Anatomy Of Violence), director Ingrid Veninger (Hockey Night), director Kirsten Carthew (The Sun At Midnight) and director Martine Blue...

On May 18, 1985, Dynasty concluded its fifth and highest-ever-rated season with a cliffhanger to end all cliffhangers: the Moldavian wedding massacre.
Amanda (Catherine Oxenberg), long-lost daughter to Alexis (Joan Collins) and Blake (John Forsythe), is marching down the aisle, soon to wed Prince Michael (Michael Praed), of the European nation of Moldavia. But before the ceremony can conclude, terrorists spray the chapel with bullets, and the season's final moments show the cast lying bloodied and lifeless – but still looking glamorous, of course.
The episode sparked viewer concern for the Carrington clan and their associates. Who could possibly survive? In September, the sixth-season premiere revealed that,...

"The clothes were a huge part of what made 'Dynasty' fun," Joan Collins once said in one of the biggest understatements ever. The British actress will be forever associated with her over-the-top fashion on the TV show "Dynasty," in which she played the dramatically glamorous Alexis Carrington Colby.
But the truth is, Collins' glitzy on-set fashion was nearly identical to her fashion offscreen -- and it hasn't seemed to change one bit since the 1980s. Her hair, shoulder pads and jewelry are just as big now as they were then, and her commitment to high fashion hasn't wavered. In 2011, Collins was rushed from the Vanity Fair Oscars party to the hospital because her dress was too tight. "The truth was, I made the wrong decision to wear a very tight dress, and had something rather like a Victorian swoon," she told Page Six.
Once a diva, always a diva.
