Warning: This story contains spoilers from the season finale of Revenge. Proceed with caution, West Coast!
Fans of ABC’s twisted Hamptons drama-fest Revenge learned earlier this week that the show would be returning for a fourth season, and thank the TV Gods for that. Because after tonight’s season finale, which featured multiple deaths and one Huge twist, we’re guessing there would have been a few not-so happy fans. “I was telling everyone, if we didn’t get picked up, that was going to be the ultimate act of revenge,” jokes exec producer Sunil Nayar, who called EW...

Another summer is behind us and you know what that means, right? It's time to head back to The Hamptons and ABC’s frothy soap, Revenge.
Entering Season 3, the storyline threads are picked up about five-to-six months after the bombshell from the season finale, when Emily told Jack that she’s truly Amanda Clark. So... what happens next?
Those questions will be answered in Sunday’s season premiere - but to fill in more of the gaps, I grabbed some time with new showrunner Sunil Nayar to find out what is on the drawing board for all our favorite Revengers. Scroll down for spoiler-filled excerpts from our Q&A...

The "Revenge" Season 2 finale features the death of Declan (Connor Paolo), a terrorist attack on Grayson Global, the arrests of both Aiden and Nolan, Conrad's election as governor and no less than four game-changing revelations. Absolutely nothing will ever be the same after two hours of "Truth."
If you couldn't keep up, here is all of the death, destruction and awful "Truth" once again.
When "Revenge" goes "Revolution"
When stuck in a terrorist-caused blackout, it's good to have access to your own satellite. Barring that, it's good to be within a mile of your dad's secure apartment building. Or it's a good idea to be at the Stowaway, where there are many candles and lanterns.
So basically, everyone on "Revenge" starts out okay.
That goes away quickly. Emily (Emily VanCamp) and Nolan (Gabriel Mann) quickly realize that the money transfer out of the Amanda Clark fund was the trigger. Now...

Jane by Design Speculation: What Would Have Happened Next Season?
Jane by Design became the lone ABC Family cancellation of the summer on Friday, as the teen fashion dramedy had its run end after a short 18 episode first season. The news was more than a little disappointing, considering the open-ended nature of the finale and the series showing signs of putting it all together, but the end of the road doesn't mean that the speculation has to stop. Below I'll be running through some of the main plots from Jane by Design with where they left off and how I imagine them going in the never-was second season.
Jane and Billy
Where things left off: The best friends had grown apart during the summer season, thanks to new relationships, feelings that never lined up at the same time, and busy lives. Just as Jane was about to spill her guts...

Jane by Design 1.18 "The Bonus Check" Review
The defacto series finale is one of the toughest things to pull off in television. You have to try and stay true to the plot that you've unspooled over the season while offering enough finality to make the possible ending of the show not sting as much. If you leave enough plot points hanging, you might come off as arrogant or insensitive to the ratings situation the show is in; if you bring about too many happy endings, it can feel unearned and make the storytelling suffer as a result, particularly since things will have to get messy again should there be a renewal. It's the tighest of tight ropes for bubble shows like Jane by Design and one false move and you're falling into the abyss known as not being able to stick the landing.

Jane by Design 1.15 "The Online Date" Review
Ever since their little heart-to-heart in the summer premiere, Billy and Jane's once rock solid friendship has been drifting in the wind. Whether it be from the new girl in Billy's life or the awkwardness that comes with unresolved feelings, the backbone of Jane by Design hasn't been as strong in recent episodes. On a lot of shows, taking away the best element could break a season and drive the audience away for good, but here it feels different. Refreshing, almost. It's brought a decidedly different dynamic to a show that leaned heavily on their relationship and is evidence that in the back-half of the season, the show has decided to buck formula and explore the nooks and crannies of these characters.
Which is why I liked that they had the self-awareness to point out the distance and the discomfort that the two...

Jane by Design 1.13 "The Surprise" Review
In a lot of ways, Jane by Design is an 80s movie transplanted into the year 2012. I mean, let's be real; the concept is Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead by way of Ugly Betty (and, to a lesser extent, The Devil Wears Prada) and the first half of the first season was as light, fluffy, and innocent as you'd expect from a show like this. Jane may have faced challenges and expectations from her new role at Donovan Decker, but it seemed that she always managed to pull out a victory or come up with a miraculous idea to save an account right before the credits would (theoretically) roll. Cue a wistful, topical pop song about surviving the challenge laying before you and never giving up and boom, movie from 1984 that you'll watch on cable every single time it comes on.

The penalty for Crimes Against Fashion is severe.
Whew! I have to admit, I've been a bit disappointed with Reven8e since it came back from its long hiatus. I felt too much of the time it was just spinning its wheels, but the Season Finale went from 0 to 60 in record time (those are the only car metaphors I know, so I'll stop.)
There were twists and turns, shocking revelations, one good slap, and a cliffhanger that left lives in the balance, and Emily re-examining her priorities for next season.
We really haven't seen soapy goodness like this since crazy-ass Kimberley pushed the button and blew up Melrose Place. Let's take a look at how each character fared, and what the chances are that they'll return.
Emily - She starts off in the catbird seat, having convinced Daniel that The White Haired Man broke in and stole The Incriminating Evidence.

We here at TVOvermind have been searching for any information we could get. We've given you some sneak peeks into the episode, a look at some photos and a trailer for the Fire and Ice ball. The fake Amanda Clark was not the only person to see a different side to Jack Porter at the conclusion of last week's Revenge.
The Jack Porter that fans of this ABC series have come to know would not put on a black suit and whisk away his girlfriend to Atlantic City. So might this be a sign of a new direction for the typically uptight bartender?
"Maybe," Nick Wechsler teased to me over the phone. "Down the road, we may see Jack doing things we didn't expect him to be doing. We'll see a darker side and that was getting the ball rolling on it."
Interesting. If a few words of wisdom from Declan - and some same-sex-kissing from Amanda - simply get the ball rolling, where might that ball head when Daniel proposes to Emily? How will Jack to this development?

The relaxing hiatus is over for the Hamptons elite on "Revenge." When we meet up again with the Graysons, Emily Thorne & co. on the beach, they look stunned, which we then learn is due to the gun Tyler has pointed at them. He walks around the table before pointing it directly at Emily's head. Now, it's time to find out how exactly they found themselves in this little predicament.
It's two days earlier and Emily is not yet in "duress" -- her word of day, which also happens to be the title of the episode. She heads downstairs and is happy to see that Daniel is there, coffee in hand. The two mention that Tyler is still M.I.A. and Daniel says his mom is planning a party for his impending birthday. Like the simple W.A.S.P. she is, Emily suggests a clambake.
Conrad arrives and Emily is quick to excuse herself.

Tick... tick... tick...
Emily Thorne was diagnosed as a ticking time bomb on the most recent episode of Revenge, the final installment of 2011 and one that saw the bond between Emily and Nolan officially broken. What will this and other developments mean going forward? Our Round Table panel of Leigh Raines, Christine Orlando and Dan Forcella is here to make some predictions...

What was your favorite scene from the episode?
Leigh: It was a small scene but at the very end when Daniel is home and on the phone with Emily, he mentions Amanda Clark being back in town. Victoria's reaction and expression in the background was perfect. It felt like a big piece finally fell into place, setting the next stage of revenge in motion.
Christine: It was the flashback where little Amanda had to give up her dog. It was heartbreaking and made me think that if Victoria really loved David,...

Last week's Revenge featured Frank getting exposed to the Graysons for his role in Lydia's accident (she now resides in a coma). But Frank isn't prepared to give up being close to Victoria, so instead of leaving as Conrad suggested, he's going to stick around and get to the bottom of everything, including learning more about Emily. Meanwhile, Daniel started working at Jack's bar and Tyler stepped up his creepy game by drugging Daniel and then coming on to him. When Daniel refused, Tyler went the extra mile and hurt himself, later complaining to Victoria that Daniel had done it. For more of a refresher on what happened in the last episode, read our recap.

Emily resorted to actual physical violence in her most recent scheme on this week's episode of Revenge. Her next target was Dr. Michelle Banks, who used to be a court-appointed psychiatrist back when David Clarke was arrested and separated from his daughter. Thanks to interfering from Victoria, Dr. Banks had young Amanda Clark institutionalized.
Fast forward to present day, where Emily has been seeing Dr. Banks for "therapy" for over a year. But this is really just an excuse to gain intelligence not only on Dr. Banks, but on her patients. At a recent charity luncheon, Emily exposed Dr. Banks' secret patient tapes, humiliating the Hamptons' socialites, including Victoria, who immediately vowed to destroy the doctor.
When Dr. Banks later disappeared after being trapped in a storage container for a number of hours, Victoria became a bit of a suspect in what happened to her. But Victoria and her security man,...

Like many of us here in the EW offices, I’m completely and unashamedly hooked on Revenge. The ABC drama — starring Emily VanCamp as a young woman bent on avenging her father’s ruin — is full of fun twists, fancy rich people doing fun, fancy, rich people things, and, perhaps most importantly, displays the utter awesomeness that is Madeleine Stowe. But! There is a small nagging issue that has been driving me more and more crazy with every viewing: What is the deal with that dog, Sam?
Okay, so, Sam is an adorable yellow Labrador that our avenging angel Amanda...

People say revenge is a dish best served cold. But we at TVLine are of the mindset that Revenge is actually an addictive new primetime soap premiering this Wednesday (ABC, 10/9c) starring the immensely likeable Emily VanCamp (Brothers & Sisters) as a quick-witted young woman seeking vengeance — of the no-holds-barred variety! — for the unjust demise of her father.
We spoke with some of the series’ stars, who vow to exact revenge on those who don’t tune in — no, not really. But they did reveal reasons why Revenge is as sweet as the old adage says it is.

Judging solely from televised depictions of the Hamptons, the beachside Long Island towns depicted in ABC's soapy new series 'Revenge,' it's a place where obscenely wealthy New Yorkers migrate every summer to sunbathe on towels made of $100 bills while sipping champagne and being fanned by their personal assistants.
