It’s finally come down to this, the end of World’s End. This drawn out excuse of a weekly has been going on for a good half a year and now the oversized creative crew gets to do their final send off to the book and this entire world. It’s about as disappointing as one would expect.
If there is one thing this issue does right, it’s that it finds the closest thing to a focus point in Alan Scott. It’s a very fitting choice as his narration...

So I came back. Ash needs me, so I picked up issue 16 to see what a decent cliffhanger from 15 turned out to be. On top of that, writer Mike Raicht was slowly getting into the mix of things, and I believe in that guy after writing his quiet-cool Marvel Max series, Zombie. I believe in Ash, and well... alright, I’ll be honest. I sort of had “Ash Fever” after watching Bruce Campbell return to the new season of Burn Notice this past week. This fever happens anytime you see Bruce, as I’m sure many will agree.
And to my surprise, issue 16 of Army Of Darkness wasn’t that bad, at least, not as bad as the previous issue. The story was paced nicely, almost intense with our deadite-fighting hero stuck in the middle of a “Qt” situation with hungry deadite bears salivating outside a cabin in the woods...

We’ve got zombies this week as the dead ignore the alcohol after effects of a New Year’s celebration like those of the living. So we take our Advil and continue to envy those decaying bastards with a one track mind for... flesh. And what better place to start than with our beloved Walking Dead?
Why this book hasn’t been made into a television series is a head-scratcher; mixing drama, horror, suspense, and violence better together than any other cable show around, you’d think it’d be easy to sell. (Lost meets Jericho, with zombies. Pow!
