The Hollywood Reporter has the exclusive on the eagerly anticipated new Babylon 5 animated movie announced last week by creator J. Michael Straczynski.
The movie – which is expected this summer from Warner Bros. Animation and Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment – is entitled Babylon 5: The Road Home. The synopsis reads:
“Travel across the galaxy with John Sheridan as he unexpectedly finds himself transported through multiple timelines and alternate realities in a quest to find his way back home. Along the way he reunites with some familiar faces, while discovering cosmic new revelations about the history, purpose, and meaning of the Universe.”
Straczynski reassured fans on Twitter that “this is the most truly B5-ish thing we’ve done in 20 years. It's like not a minute has passed.”
He added in another tweet: “One of the many great things about the new B5 movie is that the panorama of events will...

There are plenty of interesting directions a return to the Babylon 5 universe could take. Here are a few suggestions...
I read somewhere that J.M. Straczynski writes every day. That’s not surprising given his extensive body of work for television, motion pictures, novels and comics. He is best known for Babylon 5, of course. I remember what a lot of people used to say about Babylon 5, “How much can happen on a space station?” Well, a lot actually! And after five seasons of the original series, a bunch of made-for-tv movies and a couple of spin-offs, there are still plenty of stories left to tell.
That is why I was excited recently to read that Joe (apparently, he thinks you’re cool if you just call him Joe) was going back to work on Babylon 5. My excitement soon turned to dread when I found out that...

"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" is quietly becoming one of our favorite, solid, ensemble comedies, and not just because of the yin-yang push-and-pull between Detective Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) and Captain Ray Holt (Andre Braugher) but because the rest of the cast play so well off of each other. There's a little bit of sexual tension, a good non-sequitur here and there, and an almost constant stream of "best lines." What more can you ask for in a half-hour show?
Rapper/actor Kid Cudi guest starred on tonight's episode "48 Hours" as Dustin Whitman, a recently-released from prison troublemaker that Jake pulled in under the suspicion of holding up a jewelry store. But since there's no evidence at all, and Jake jumped the arrest gun, as it were, Jake (or "Joke" as Dustin calls him repeatedly) only has 48 hours to link Dustin to the heist, or let him go, and the rest of the...

The sci-fi and fantasy genres simply wouldn’t be the same without a bit of arresting facial hair on its protagonists. Here are Sarah’s top 10 beards...
Beards are awesome, aren’t they? The right kind of beard can make any man into… well, a slightly hairier man, but theoretically a much more awesome man. Beards seem pretty intrinsically linked with sci-fi and fantasy, too: there are some kinds of facial hair that just scream “this is the future!” while “beardy” has been used as an adjective to suggest excessive nerdiness.
We, of course, would never use “beard” in a pejorative sense, ever. Because, as previously mentioned, beards are awesome. Here are the ten best beards in all of sci-fi and fantasy:
10. Rubeus Hagrid (Robbie Coltrane)
The Harry Potter franchise
According to an article in Scotland on Sunday, part of the character concept for Hagrid is that he’s a “mountain of leather and hair.
