- Friend and personal assistant of Charles Chaplin.
- Nephew of William Crocker, who founded the Crocker banking dynasty.
- Lifelong friend of Cole Porter, whom he met when they attended college at Yale. Crocker even appeared in a small part in Porter's biopic, Night and Day (1946), though not as himself.
- At one time, Crocker operated the The Harry Crocker Museum, self-described as "The First Museum Dedicated To Famous Movie Props," which was located along Sunset Boulevard. The museum included props, costumes and pieces of sets and models from major silent films. The museum opened in 1928, but closed after only four months of operation.
- Survived by two sisters, Miss Marion P. Crocker and Mrs. Charles Z. Sutton, and a brother, Clark W. Crocker.
- Pal of Marion Davies. He appeared with her in Tillie the Toiler (1927) and Show People (1928).
- Married Elizabeth Jenns at William Randolph Hearst's St. Donat's Castle in Wales. Hearst gave the bride away; Marion Davies was maid of honor.
