- Presented nightly show on BBC Local Radio in the West Country for several years.
- Appeared in 'The Mike d'Abo Story', written by Geoff Leonard and presented and produced by Phil Vowels, for BBC Local Radio.
- Presented a few editions of BBC Radio 2's 'Sounds Of The Sixties' before regular presenter Brian Matthew took over.
- Wrote 'Handbags And Gladrags', a version of which is used over the titles of BBC TV's award-winning The Office (2001).
- Co-wrote 'Build Me Up Buttercup', with Tony Macaulay - a big hit in the UK and US for 'The Foundations' in 1968, and included on the soundtrack of There's Something About Mary (1998).
- Sang on the original soundtrack of "Jesus Christ Superstar" (1970) as King Herod. Although 'King Herod's Song' was written by Andrew Lloyd-Webber & Tim Rice, the last line, "Get out of my life", was his own improvised addition.
