Another new project is on the way from Patrick Lussier, with Deadline reporting that Lussier will next be directing an action-thriller titled Aftermath.
Mason Gooding (Scream VI) and Dylan Sprouse (After We Collided) will star.
In the film, “On what should have been a peaceful afternoon drive, former Army Ranger Eric Daniels (Sprouse) finds himself trapped with hundreds of other commuters and a high-profile prisoner (Dichen Lachman) after a group of heavily armed ex-military contractors shut down Boston’s Tobin Bridge.
“As their leader (Gooding) starts killing hostages, Sprouse must rely on his military training, killer instincts, and some unexpected help to get his little sister – and everyone else – home safely.”
The cast also includes Megan Scott, Kevin Chapman and Will Lyman.
Nathan Graham Davis wrote the script.

Benedict Cumberbatch earned a rapturous reception from the adoring masses in Hall H during his maiden Comic-Con appearance at the DreamWorks Animation panel on Thursday (24) and hinted at future visits.
When asked by an audience member towards the end of the panel – the first by a Hollywood studio at this year’s show – if he would return as Sherlock next year, the British actor said “Possibly.”
To the business at hand. Cumberbatch was in San Diego to talk up his first ever voice role in an animation. He plays Classified, a secret agent wolf who aids the eponymous Penguins Of Madagascar, due out in November.
“I like the idea of unpacking a spy and trying to make him more human, if that makes sense with a wolf,” he said.
Cumberbatch said he jumped at the chance to work with John Malkovich, another Comic-Con debutant in attendance who voices the part of the villainous Dave the octopus.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences brings you the Oscars (yep, that's why they're called Academy Awards), and on Friday, the organization announced that it was prepared to invite 176 new folks to its fold.
In a list posted on its website, the Academy deemed Matthew McConaughey, Jean Dujardin, Terrence Malick, Jonah Hill, Berenice Bejo, Jessica Chastain, Octavia Spencer and a host of other film luminaries worthy of inclusion in its nearly 6,000-member army.
The Academy has drawn the ire of critics who bemoan its overwhelmingly male, white population. A Los Angeles Times investigation found that of all Academy members, 94 percent are Caucasian and 77 percent are male. A mere 2 percent are black, with Latinos constituting an even smaller portion. Only 14 percent of members are under the age of 50.
Full members of the Academy select and vote on Oscars nominees. The organization was started in 1927 and is now governed by a 43-person board.

We chat to legendary Disney animator about working on Tangled, getting the measure of hair, whether The Snow Queen stands a chance, and the opportunities computers present…
Last month, we uploaded the first of our two interviews with legendary Disney animator, Glen Keane. You can read the first here, and what you're about to read is what happened when we sat down with him face to face, to chat about his work on Tangled, and animation as a whole...
Just walking along the corridor before we started chatting, I saw a terrific Tangled painting, the one that appears in the film. Is it your daughter who's painted that?
Yes.
That's a lovely piece of work.
Isn't that cool?
So, you've got three generations of Keanes in the same film, effectively. You told us before that you based the baby Rapunzel in the film on drawings of your granddaughter, you've got your daughter's painting,...

While The CW hasn't officially canceled "Life Unexpected," there's a good chance that tonight's two-hour Season 2 finale event may be the last we see of the Basile-Cassidy-Thomas family, so we couldn't miss the opportunity to hang out backstage at the Ktla Morning Show with stars Kristoffer Polaha and Shiri Appleby when they stopped by to film a segment.
At the news desk, Polaha and Appleby kept it clean, but once we got back to the green room, all hell broke loose. Ladies and gentlemen, the video below may not be entirely safe for work... and we love it.
Creator Liz Tigelaar told Zap2it that the finale will see Cate and Baze discovering Lux's (Britt Robertson) relationship with her teacher, Eric Daniels. Appleby teases, "Personally, I am proud that my daughter has come up with a way to figure out how to suceed in life. She has ensured a way to get good grades,...

This time last year, "Life Unexpected" creator Liz Tigelaar was anxiously anticipating the launch of the series she'd poured her heart into. Tomorrow, one year to the day of the series' premiere, the show will air its Season 2 finale, and Tigelaar is preparing to move on to begin working with ABC, with whom she's signed an overall deal.
Reps at The CW stress that the show hasn't been officially canceled, though the cast and crew don't seem particularly optimistic about their chances at a Season 3. The show, plagued by a difficult time slot and a notable lack of Season 2 promotion, has struggled in ratings, but maintains a small, dedicated fan base (including us at Zap2it!) with an active online presence.
The cast also remains passionate about the show -- so passionate, in fact, that Britt Robertson broke down crying when her TV dad, Kristoffer Polaha, wrapped his final scene.

Eric Daniels, the clean-cut English teacher Shaun Sipos plays on The CW's feel-good family drama 'Life Unexpected,' is very different from David Breck, the bad boy master thief he played on last season's short-lived 'Melrose Place' reboot. But that's okay with Sipos.
"I'm glad," he told TV Squad. "Part of what drew me to doing this role is because it's completely opposite of David. There's no malice, there's no lies, there's no trickery, no deceit. He's not running around and hooking up with girls all over the place."
In fact, Eric is a polite high school teacher with an "unorthodox," hands-on teaching style. "I think he's very passionate about helping people," Sipos said. But Eric does have one skeleton in his closet -- a romantic spark with Lux, one of his students.

When a girl's got a crush on her teacher (who she accidentally made out with), the last thing she wants is her dad putting in extra hours at school. "Life Unexpected's" Lux (Britt Robertson) is trying to balance school, play, and keeping her parents happy.
Zap2it checked in with Robertson to see how Lux fares now that her father, Baze (Kristoffer Polaha) and his friend Math (Austin Basis) are her basketball coaches. "He's super competitive, which is a little too aggressive," she says. "She's not too hot on the basketball front and she's just trying to make her parents proud."
Meanwhile, she's got that hot teacher, Eric Daniels (Shaun Sipos) on the mind, and the slightly more age-appropriate Jones (Austin Butler) has his eye on her. So who does Robertson think is Lux's ideal man? Though Jones is probably Mr. Right, Eric may be the perfect Mr. Right Now.

"Life Unexpected" is welcoming "Melrose Place's" Shaun Sipos to the cast this season, and his character, Eric Daniels, is... well, not what we expected.
Zap2it visited the show's Vancouver set and had a chat with executive producer Liz Tigelaar to get the scoop on Portland's newest hunk.
Eric blows into town in the Sept. 14 premiere and surprises Lux (Britt Robertson) with his almost dangerously optimistic, hopeful outlook on life. "It's already leaked online that Eric is a teacher at Lux's school," Tigelaar tells us. "She's struggling in her classes -- Lux is definitely not your straight-a student. He's going to become a very influential person in her life who helps uncover and reveal things about what's going on with her."
Tigelaar describes Lux as an "old soul." She has trouble connecting with kids her age because of the struggles she's been through in the foster system, so she...
