Most of us can agree that TV shows thrive on their romantic storylines, but over the years love triangles have increasingly taken over TV’s romantic storylines and divided fans.
Iconic love triangles have become a commonly used trope to hook viewers in. There is nothing like declaring who the heroine should be with and having to stick with them through the rollercoaster of intense declarations of love and breakups. But despite how annoying and cliché love triangles can be, they lead to some of the best TV moments. So, naturally we decided to take a look at TV’s most infuriating love triangles.

Sophia Bush, the one-time star of One Tree Hill, has opened up about playing a teenager on the WB/CW drama.
The now 37-year-old actress has opened up about fighting with her boss on the series over scenes she felt were "inappropriate" for her character.
If you watched One Tree Hill online, you know that the characters attended high school in the first few seasons, so they were all underage.
Bush appeared on the series from 2003-2012, and recently opened up about her thoughts on standing up to her bosses on Ashley Graham's Pretty Big Deal podcast.
Bush recalled being approached by an unnamed showrunner about filming scenes in her underwear, but the actress told the show executive that it felt off to film these scenes for the 16-year-old Brooke Davis.
Despite her reservations, the actress was told "Well, you're not 16," which further fueled her concern about the whole thing.

Sophia Bush is reflecting on her experience on One Tree Hill. The actress, who portrayed character Brooke Davis on the beloved series for nine seasons, is speaking out about fighting for her character, as well as standing up for herself on the set of the show. In a new episode of Ashley Graham's Pretty Big Deal podcast, Bush recalls voicing her opinion over "inappropriate" scenes. "I brought a lot [of myself] to her," Bush tells Graham of her character. "I fought a lot with the writers...I was sort of unaware of the power dynamics at play and I would just say things. I'd be like, 'I'm not doing this." "There was this sort of really weird thing...you look back at it,...

Sophia Bush is returning to NBC!
Deadline is reporting that the former Chicago P.D. actress has landed a recurring role on the second half of This Is Us Season 4.
As is the norm with this ratings juggernaut, producers are keeping tight-lipped about who she is playing.
However, series creator, Dan Fogelman has teased that she will be part of Kevin's (Justin Hartley) storyline.
If you watch This Is Us online, you know Kevin has mostly been unlucky in love, but thanks to the introduction of a future storyline, we know he has a child in the future.
Whether Bush's character will be revealed as the baby mama, we don't know, but it sure is fun to speculate.
Another new addition to the hit family drama's cast is Pamela Adlon (Better Things), who will recur as part of “Randall’s very intense storyline,” Fogelman dished.

A lot of TV series always describe how close they are, that the cast and crew are truly family on set and would do anything for each other. However, with people having so many different types of personalities and actors having to spend close to 18 hours on set some days, you’ve got to wonder if what they are saying is always true. Well, for the cast of One Tree Hill, the fact that they were and still are a family certainly appears to be the truth from these photos posted to Instagram by Brooke Davis herself, Sophia Bush. Bush, Bethany Joy Lenz (who played Haley James Scott), Hilarie Burton (Peyton Sawyer), James Lafferty (Nathan Scott) and Paul Johansson (Dan Scott) all reunited this weekend at a One Tree Hill convention in Paris. Zap2it: After your long run as Brooke on "One Tree Hill," how are you adjusting to playing a police detective on "Chicago Pd"?
Sophia Bush: It feels like a perfect job for me, and that's something that makes it really exciting to get up and go to work every day. I'm not going to lie; I have a really hard time when we're shooting outside and the wind chill is 6 below ... but I love the city.
I think it has such a personality, and the incredible dichotomy of culture and spirit that exists within the city gives it such an incredible character. Chicago is really the backdrop for everything in our show, and it feels personal. It doesn't feel like just a location, but like the heartbeat beneath everything that we do.

Much like their One Tree Hill characters Brooke Davis and Lucas Scott, Sophia Bush and Chad Michael Murray weren't meant to be. The former costars met on the set of the WB drama and tied the knot during a seaside ceremony in Santa Monica, Calif., on Apr. 16, 2005. They separated five months later and Bush filed for an annulment on the basis of fraud in February 2006. Her request was denied, and their divorce was granted in December 2006. Though they remained professional on the set of their teen soap (which later moved to The CW), the exes lost touch after Murray exited the series in 2009. Bush was asked if she still keeps in contact with Murray during a Jan. 6 appearance on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live....

Our major girl crush on "One Tree Hill's" Brooke Davis is well-documented, so it should go without saying that we think her portrayer, Sophia Bush, is pretty excellent, too.
Like Brooke, Sophia has long been a champion for empowered women -- and though she's about to start filming her new show, "Partners," she and Brooke joined forces one last time to help an organization that aspires to encourage young women to use their voices.
When we spoke with Sophia earlier this year, she joked that she one day wanted to sneak into Warner Bros. and raid Brooke Davis' wardrobe. Though she didn't have to resort to a life of crime, she did manage to pilfer some favorite outfits -- for a very good cause.

Sophia Bush, best known for her role as Brooke Davis in One Tree Hill, is partnering with Closets For Causes to sell pieces of her beloved character's wardrobe. Dresses, skirts, jeans and tops worn by B. Davis herself are up for grabs, and some of of the one-of-a-kind pieces include outfits worn by Sophia Bush during special events and photoshoots!
According to Sophia, "When Oth wrapped, I knew that Brooke Davis, her humor, and her passion for her girlfriends, would always be a part of me. So I lovingly combed years of Brooke's stuff, putting together some massive boxes to bring home, so that I could spend some time pondering how to make her legacy mean something for women. Brooke was a champion of women. And an example of the kind of woman who never gives up, and who always stands up for the people in her life. I'm honored to have played her.

Millions of fans said goodbye to One Tree Hill this week as the two hour series finale made it to our television screens. The finale began with a special one hour retrospective with creator, Mark Schwahn and the cast. Not often does a creator of a hit show and the cast come together to talk about what makes their show and the experience of making it so special, with their connection to the fans at the forefront. As Bethany Joy Lenz wrote on her blog, “In a strange way, an indirect way… I supposed we raised each other.”
“It’s about falling in love, it’s about making someone proud of you, it’s about being proud of yourself. It’s about that quiet voice that tells you, you could do better.” – Mark Schwahn
Schwahn said it best when he said, “What’s real about it are the emotions behind it and the people.

One Tree Hill wraps up nine emotional seasons Wednesday night with a two-hour series finale on the CW. I’ll admit that it really will be hard to say goodbye.

I tuned in because I had a Dawson’s Creek-size hole in my schedule and I would do just about anything not to do my English homework.
I kept watching...

One Tree Hill Preview: Series Finale Photos and Sneak Peeks
Well, this is it, folks…the CW’s One Tree Hill will be saying their final goodbye in a 2-hour series finale tonight. And what better title than its own show’s title, “One Tree Hill”? This makes me and millions of fans out there incredibly sad, but at the same time we couldn’t be happier for them—it’s a bittersweet deal for everybody. I, for one, am so excited!
One Tree Hill fans have fallen in love with Brooke, Haley, Nathan and the gang for nine incredible seasons. How could you not? Sure, we’ve had some characters leave and new ones join the cast, but I’ve grown to love them all the same. I’ve got to say that I was sad to hear that Peyton (Hilarie Burton) wouldn’t be making a final appearance,...

When "One Tree Hill" premiered on The WB on September 23, 2003, I was a 16-year-old high school senior. I watched it because "Dawson's Creek" was off the air and I had nothing better to do once I'd finished my physics homework.
It was almost 8 years later to the day that I, a real live adult, visited the set of the show to conduct interviews with the cast and observe while they filmed one of the final episodes of the series.
I sat behind the camera on set at Karen's Cafe, watching Sophia Bush's effortless transformation into Brooke Davis, as directed by Greg Prange. The scene wasn't sad or even particularly poignant -- she was flirting with her husband before he spotted something on the street and rushed outside. It was practically filler. But I blinked back tears anyway, because in that moment I felt instantly connected to my 16-year-old self,...

Sophia Bush broke down in tears after she was asked to direct the penultimate One Tree Hill episode, calling it an "amazing honour" to be put in charge.
The actress, who plays Brooke Davis in One Tree Hill, sobbed when producers called her into a meeting and asked if she wanted to step behind the camera.
Bush has directed the show in the past, but insists it was "very poignant" to helm the second to last episode.
She recalls, "It was this weird thing where I was like, 'Why is everyone sitting down? I feel like I'm being called in the principal's office.' I burst into tears and acknowledged what an amazing honour that was to be trusted with that.
"Everything was really important and everything was really valuable. Because I knew that it was the last chance that I was going to have to tell these stories and to honour these characters and to really show their relationships. It just felt supremely important."
Bush admits she was an emotional wreck after filming wrapped in November, but she's beginning to enjoy having free time to herself.
She tells The Hollywood Reporter, "For weeks everyone stopped calling me Sophia and just started calling me waterworks everywhere I went. (Now) being able to walk my dogs in my own neighborhood and being able to see my family and see my friends that I grew up with that I didn't get to see for nine years has all just been great."...

Well, that was certainly a change of pace. After an episode that went into all out action mode with Dan yielding a shotgun, and one that tugged on our heart strings like they were trying to defeat John Cena in a game of tug o' war as Dan sadly left this world, "Anyone Who Had A Heart" was a much less strenuous hour.
The penultimate episode of One Tree Hill was just plain happy. All of the characters were happy, I assume it made all of the viewers happy and the fact that Sophia Bush was able to direct one of the final episodes of the series - one that focused a lot on how important her Brooke Davis was to the show - definitely made me happy.
Maybe nobody was happier than Julian Baker, who was inspired to turn Lucas's "Ravens" book into a television series. Not only did the studio buy his idea,...

Dan. Effing. Scott. Whether you loved him, hated him, or loved to hate him, it is nearly impossible to argue that he didn't have one of the most intriguing and divisive character arcs of all-time.
He tormented his sons, his wife and everyone else in town for that matter. He was hit by a speeding car, poisoned, lost out on a number of heart transplants and attempted to hang himself. Dan Scott even murdered his own brother.
He also treated his grandchildren - we mostly witnessed this through his joyous moments with Jamie - wonderfully. When it came down to it, and someone he loved was in extreme danger, he put everything (including his life on the line), saving Nathan Scott for his family.
We got to relive so much of his journey over the course of these nine seasons of One Tree Hill in "Danny Boy," whether through spoken word or visual flashback,...

The CW sent us over some videos for One Tree Hill, particularly fans of Sophia Bush’s Brooke Davis, that feature the Oth star fielding questions sent in from fans about the ninth and final season and other topics, and another showing Bush getting the sneak on One Tree Hill show creator Mark Schwahn.
While One Tree Hill is coming to an end, Sophia Bush fans won’t be deprived for long, as she’s landed a new pilot at CBS called Partners, where she will be joined by Michael Urie in a show from the minds that brought us Will and Grace.
One Tree Hill is back next week with “Danny Boy” to be followed a week later by an episode directed by Bush, titled “Anyone Who had a Heart”.

One Tree Hill delivered one of the most thrilling episodes of the season, arguably the series this week with “Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will.” Even the soap opera nature of the Xavier story line can be overlooked given just how much these scenes kept our hearts racing. Father and son were reunited. A mother and wife found herself all alone with a maniac. And one man finally found closure. What a phenomenal episode!
“He’s not dead. Well, I guess he could be dead by now.” – Dan
Dark as this episode was, there was plenty of comedy to keep us laughing along the way.The boys sure brought the laughs this week. Who would have ever guessed that Dan (Paul Johansson), Julian (Austin Nichols), and Chris Keller (Tyler Hilton) would make such a dream team? It might have been annoying at certain points in this final season of One Tree Hill, but Nathan getting kidnapped and the subsequent events it caused over the first nine episodes were all worth it for what was maybe the most heroic rescue mission in television history.
I would be extremely surprised if I needed to convince anyone else of the greatness of Dan Scott - and Paul Johansson's portrayal of the character - after his performance during "Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will."
This was what we have all been waiting for, and what I've been writing about since "Catastrophe and the Cure" back in February: Dan Scott's redemption. I knew he would save Nathan, I just didn't know how. I knew it would be uber cool and super studly, but I couldn't have ever imagined how awesome it would be to watch him slowly walk...

Is Dan dying? Is Brooke Ok? This week's 'One Tree Hill' was insane! The March 14 episode of One Tree Hill was the most action-packed hour of the series. Dan (Paul Johansson) put his plan into action to try and save Nathan (James Lafferty), while Brooke Davis (Sophia Bush) was just trying to stay alive. Brooke found Karen's Cafe completely trashed and exchanged a few not-so-nice words with Tara (Chelsea Kane). Then the game of cat and mouse began! Xavier caught Brooke alone in a parking garage and chased her down, threatening to kill her. I didn't really understand where he was going with most of the words coming out of his mouth, but the knife in his hand was what got my attention. He finally got Brooke cornered and was just about to kill her... when Tara showed up with a taser! Dead or not, I'm hoping this...

The predator became the prey in this week’s episode of One Tree Hill which was one of the best episodes of the season. The writers are brilliant but a favorite ability of theirs is how they so cleverly craft the parallels between the stories. Every decision made by a main character is made out of love and while love prevails, there are still going to be a few bumps on the way. Some of the new targets got what they deserve while others were able to outsmart for the time being. “Every Breath is a Bomb” brought quite a thrill to Tree Hill and was able to engage us in every single moment. It’s a good thing the soap opera ending was indeed the ending of the episode. Had it been any earlier on in the episode, the entire flow of the episode would have been ruined. Smart...

One Tree Hill returned to its roots this week with the return of Lucas Scott (Chad Michael Murray) and his crazy hair. Butterflies fluttered and it seemed to become easier to breathe with Lucas around, as Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) was in the midst of a great storm. The focus stayed exactly where it needed to be in “Last Known Surroundings” and shed a bright light on Dan (Paul Johansson), the soon to be redeemed yet again man and a certain character who none of us would have ever guessed to be the one we really needed to keep our guard up with. There were some jaw dropping moments last night and the blood was rushing through my veins more than it has in quite some time watching this show, so if you missed it, you really missed out!

TV's Most Crushworthy: Gale Harold and Sophia Bush take on 'Glee' stars Mark Salling and Naya Rivera
Last week, Zap2it asked our readers to make some tough decisions in our TV's Most Crushworthy competition. This week, we're narrowing the field yet again as we seek out the Ultimate TV Crush.
In this round, the ultimate Bad Boys and Bad Girls are going head to head... and judging by this particular competition, we're expecting some slushie throwing to happen. "Glee" fans have certainly made their voices heard, voting Santana (Naya Rivera) and Puck (Mark Salling) into the running.
That's not to say they don't have some stiff competition. Second to Santana is Brooke Davis (Sophia Bush) from "One Tree Hill," and while "Glee" may have more viewers than "Oth," there's no denying that nine years on the air leaves a major impression on fans. Plus, without Veronica Mars, who came in a close third, it's anybody's game at this point.

What was your favorite moment from the episode?
Nick: I like when all of the characters' story lines begin to intersect, and everyone banning together to help get Nathan home reminded me of the High School Tree Hill days when they were all together.
Miranda: I am no fan of Dan Scott, but damn, I want to high five him sometimes. Favorite moment goes to Dan in the interrogation room putting the cop in his place.

We’re hitting the halfway mark of One Tree Hill the final season and while “Catastrophe and the Cure” may have been more of a catastrophe, there were still a few moments worth smiling about.
