Last year’s bizarre Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey slasher horror turned out to be a complete fiasco, but from a mere $100,000-budged, this morbid celebration of Milne’s Pooh entering the public domain earned the studio a $5.2 million, which is why they immediately announced a sequel, Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2, which is going to appear in theaters later this month; the premiere is scheduled for March 26, 2024.
The story of the original movie is a morbid take on the story, as Winnie-the-Pooh and Piglet become slasher horror characters who keep murdering everyone and anyone who comes across their path. Critics have panned the movie as one of the worst ones ever made, and it “won” five Golden Raspberry Awards, including one for Worst Picture. But, with so much money, it doesn’t surprise us that the producers actually wanted more, and the sequel is seemingly just the beginning of it all.

It was almost 10 years ago when Warner Bros. Pictures released Edge of Tomorrow, a sci-fi thriller from director Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity) that starred Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt. Edge of Tomorrow was acclaimed at the time of its release as a more intelligent than usual, character-driven and kinetic sci-fi action movie. Yet the studio, producers, and director ended up fighting over the movie’s title before it was even released, a classic Hollywood marketing conundrum that may have hurt the film’s chances.
Cruise plays Maj. William Cage, a public relations officer for the military in a future where Earth is trying to stave off an alien invasion. Forced to accompany troops on a combat mission, Cage is killed—but finds himself reliving the same day over and over again afterward. Desperate to change the outcome, he realizes that his fate is tied to that of the heroic Sgt.

As is the case with Roman Reigns in modern WWE, sometimes a champion’s reign lasts way too long. But the opposite can also be true. Somebody could get a big title win and only hold onto the belt for a few weeks, possibly even days, before being forced back to square one. For one reason or another, there are a select group of wrestlers in WWE who dropped the title way earlier than they should have.
On this list of wrestlers who needed more time with their championships, we will not be including those who were forced to vacate due to injury. It seems too easy an answer, so here’s an honorable mention for Finn Balor, Daniel Bryan, Edge, and the rest of the champs who had to vacate the belt for physical reasons.

Sometimes a WWE title run just doesn’t work. Maybe the wrestler wasn’t right for it. Maybe the wrestler was right but the writing was all wrong. Maybe the disastrous choice to make someone champion not only hurt the careers of others but also damaged the company as a whole.
We’re looking back at 15 WWE wrestlers who shouldn’t have been crowned world champions. Keep in mind, this list is broken down into specific title runs, so while it was copacetic to have Hulk Hogan wave the banner during the Hulkamania era, that doesn’t mean that it was always the best move to put him at the top of the food chain. Disney+ isn’t wasting any time getting Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 underway.
While the renewal announcement came just a few days ago, executive producer Jon Steinberg says “there’s a couple of scripts” already in the works.
“They’re in really good shape. I think starting to boot up this machine again is an undertaking. There’s a lot of trains leaving the station all at the same time. But I think we’re feeling really good about creative and about how to plan for how to tell the stories,” he added during the Disney+ series’ panel at the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour.
As with Season 1, Steinberg and executive producer Dan Shotz assured that they are leaning heavily on the book to tell the story. They will also rely on author Rick Riordan and his wife, executive producer Becky Riordan, to adapt Sea of Monsters.

Welcome to this review of this past Friday’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown, right here on Nerdly. Let’s see what went down on this week’s episode!
Match #1: Austin Theory def. LA Knight The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Austin Theory became the No. 1 Contender to the United States Championship after The Miz showed up to Friday Night SmackDown and cost LA Knight the match. Knight was on a mission to prove a point, especially with The Miz at ringside, as he bashed Theory’s face on the announce table right in front of The A-Lister. Sick and tired of Knight’s success, The Miz hopped off of commentary, and his distraction allowed Theory to roll up Knight and win the match, securing his championship opportunity.

WWE legend Edge reflected on his legacy ahead of tonight’s SmackDown show in his hometown of Toronto when he squares off against Sheamus.
The 49-year-old Canadian wrestler, born Adam Copeland, recently chatted to Et Canada’s Carlos Bustamante about leaving a mark on the wrestling world.
During the interview, Edge revealed that Friday’s match will in fact be the last one on his current contract. But he isn’t entirely sure whether it’ll be the final match of his career.
Elsewhere in the chat, the wrestler spoke about previously getting advice from Canadian wrestling icon Bret Hart when he was younger, saying that he’d love to be associated with him when people think of his career.
After mentioning that it used to be harder for anyone abroad, including Canadians, to get into wrestling, Edge said of whether he ever thinks about his place in wrestling history and opening doors for others,...

Gun Interactive’s The Texas Chain Saw Massacre: The Game releases on Friday, August 18, and the pro wrestling promotion Aew is celebrating in a highly unique way.
An official partnership with the upcoming multiplayer slasher game, Aew is hosting the first-ever “Texas Chainsaw Massacre Death Match Championship” on their popular weekly show “Aew Dynamite” next Wednesday night, August 16, at 8/7c live on TBS.
What exactly is a “Texas Chainsaw Massacre Death Match Championship”? Well, it sounds like a new spin on an anything-goes “Hardcore Match,” and the participants are Jeff Jarrett and Jeff Hardy. In last night’s promo spot, Jeff Jarrett even teased that Leatherface himself “just might be in the house,” so you better believe we’ll be watching next Wednesday night.

Run-ins with creepy crawlies are an obligatory element of every Indiana Jones movie. "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" is loaded with centipedes, millipedes, and cockroaches; "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" plunges our hero into the rat-infested catacombs of Venice; "Indiana and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" has those not-very-terrifying CGI Siafu ants; and "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny" brings back the centipedes and other disgusting insects for the penultimate set piece at Archimedes' tomb.
But when you think of Indiana Jones and slithery, scurrying things, you automatically think of snakes -- although Indy wishes you didn't.
As we learn at the outset of "Raiders of the Lost Ark," our favorite globetrotting archaeologist hates snakes. Personally, I think they're beautiful creatures, but that doesn't mean I'd like to fall into a pit loaded with the sometimes lethal reptiles. This, of course, occurs during the Well of Souls sequence,...

Called to Duty, the new movie by director Ashley L. Gibson, is a sincere attempt to tick all the points on the checklist of an aerial combat action movie, inspired by movies such as Top Gun and its sequel Top Gun: Maverick. Although the movie says it is inspired by the women who were part of the ‘Women Airforce Service Pilots,’ aka the Wasp unit, which was a vital part of the American military during World War 2, the scenario and the characters do not seem to be affected by the gravity of the theme. Sure, the contemporary premise of the film has to incorporate modern behavior and relatable jargon, but the finer nuances of the right to equality are missing, which ironically is the point the film hammers onto us in almost every scene.

Theory kept The Celtic Warrior off-balance early and even mocked the former WWE Champion on several occasions, including hitting him with 10 Beats of the Bodhran. Just when Sheamus held all the momentum, Pretty Deadly appeared, which forced The Brawling Brutes to come to ringside as well. Led Zeppelin made the most of their relatively brief time together. They made eight studio albums between 1969 and 1979, added a 1976 movie soundtrack, and released a posthumous record in 1982. Ranking all 86 Led Zeppelin songs is a fool’s errand, unless the errand is to spark debate. It’s far easier to narrow the scope. So let’s look at the 10 Led Zeppelin songs that are essential listening for new fans (in chronological order).
(l-r) Led Zeppelin members John Bonham, Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, and John Paul Jones | Chris Walter/WireImage 1. ‘You Shook Me’
Led Zeppelin’s debut album (1969) featured several songs that firmly announced the band’s presence. With all due respect for “Good Times Bad Times,” “Communication Breakdown,” “How Many More Times,” and “Dazed and Confused” (more on that later), “You Shook Me” might be the most essential song on the record.

Early reviews for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom were glowing, to say the least. However, the praise for the game hasn’t exactly slowed down since the first wave of pre-release reviews was released. Actually, a recent review from a notable source just put Tears of the Kingdom in some rare company.
Recently, Japanese magazine Famitsu gave Tears of the Kingdom a 40/40 score. For those who don’t know, Famitsu is a legendary Japanese publication that assigns four reviewers to major new releases. Each reviewer assigns that new release a review score of 1-10. For a game to achieve a 40/40 score, it has to earn a perfect review score from four reviewers. That’s a pretty rare accomplishment. In fact, it’s only happened 28 times in the magazine’s nearly 40-year history.
However, that’s not the rare accomplishment we’re talking about. See, Vcg recently noticed...

The Edge thinks a guitar renaissance is coming, and he wants U2 to lead the charge. “I’d like to be the vanguard of this resurgence of guitars!” the 61-year-old Irish icon declared in a recent interview.
Speaking with Mojo, The Edge explained that he feels the “pendulum is going to start swinging in the other direction,” in regards to the popularity of guitars in modern music. While the pop charts are being dominated by synths, samples, and computer-generated sounds, he feels the beloved six-string still has untapped potential.
“It’s such an incredibly expressive instrument… the few bands that are using it well, it’s still fresh,” he said. Then, pulling out some receipts for his claim, he explained that the numbers seemingly back up his argument, even if the “guitar wave” hasn’t exactly arrived yet. “Don’t get me wrong — talking to people I know who work at Fender,...

Percy Jackson and the Olympians is getting a TV series adaptation coming to Disney+ in 2024. As the show continues to film its first season, creator Rick Riordan is teasing details of what fans can expect.
One of the Greek gods from the book series is Ares that will be portrayed by WWE wrestler Adam “Edge” Copeland. Riordan was thinking of “coraí” which means “wrestler” and “one who practices the sport of coraíocht.”
“I’m thinking about this because of some great scenes Adam Copeland has filmed for us recently as Ares, the god of war,” Riordan wrote on Mastodon. “As they used to say on the monster truck rally commercials of my youth: ‘You can pay for the whole seat, but you’ll only need the Edge!'”
