The last time TV audiences saw Cormoran Strike and Robin Ellacott – detective fiction’s reigning will-they-won’t-they king and queen – they were hugging outside a fancy perfume shop. The private investigators had solved Troubled Blood’s cold case, exposed a serial killer, and had time left over for some belated birthday shopping for the newly divorced Robin.
An almost-kiss between them turned into a heartfelt hug and Strike’s declaration that Robin was his best friend, leaving them still tantalisingly apart but ready for their next adventure.
That next adventure is now on its way, confirms Deadline and the BBC. Filming is currently underway on The Ink Black Heart, with Tom Burke and Holliday Grainger back in the lead roles, and Tom Edge back as the show’s screenwriter and creator.

It's kind of baffling that "The Santa Clause" is one of those franchises that's still going on today. It feels like something we should be talking about in hushed whispers. Like, "Hey, remember that Disney movie where Tim Allen commits manslaughter against Santa Claus and then undergoes a Cronenbergian physical transformation into Jolly Old St. Nick after inadvertently entering a contractual agreement to take his place? The '90s were wild, man." To be fair, I'm sure even Allen had no idea he would still be playing the cynical toy marketing director turned fabled gift-giver Scott Calvin almost 30 years after starring in the original "Santa Clause".
Yet, here we are in 2023, with season 2 of the Disney+ sequel series "The Santa Clauses" right around the corner. Season 1, much like the feature-length "Santa Clause" sequels before it, was far from a critical darling, but it absolutely has its supporters and brought in...

Where’s Yelena Belova when you need her to take the piss out of Santa Claus for his version of the “superhero landing?” If it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, it’s because department stores are out of control by lining aisles with Christmas trees before the best holiday, Halloween, has a chance to shine. Additionally, Disney+ is proud to announce its November 8 premiere date for The Santa Clauses Season 2! Note: the following contains spoilers for “Painkiller” episodes 1-6.
As “Painkiller” viewers make their way to the end of the six-episode limited series, those holding out hope for justice or a happy ending for characters overtaken by opioid addiction might be disappointed — a choice that director and EP Pete Berg says is only “honest” to the tragedy of the crisis.
“As Uzo [Aduba] says in the middle of the series, the story is a tragedy, and … no matter how much money Purdue Pharma pays to the families of dead people, I don’t know that there’s a number that’s going to ever turn this thing in anything even close to happy,” Berg told TheWrap. “We didn’t want to pretend that there is a happy ending to this story. Unfortunately, there is not.”

When Barry Meier first published what would become his explosive book Pain Killer back in 2003, which investigated the billionaire scions behind Purdue Pharma and the drug OxyContin, it was optioned by production firm Anonymous Content. But, the author says, Hollywood wasn’t actually ready to tell the story. “They had a very hard time selling a script at that point, because Purdue had not been indicted yet by the Justice Department,” Meier tells The Hollywood Reporter. “So people in Hollywood were going, ‘Are these good guys; are they bad guys? How do we cast this?’ Well, by 2007, it was pretty clear that this company had pled guilty to a federal crime, and that OxyContin had planted the seed and was the gateway drug to this horrible opioid epidemic that was still unfolding.”

Andy Murray made a winning return to grass lifting the trophy in Surbiton with a sturdy performance throughout the week dropping only one set.
The final lasted several hours but only because rain interfered with it. If that didn't happen Murray would have closed it out rather quickly as the Brit completely dominated Rodionov in the final. He beat him in two sets to lift his second challenger trophy this year . It's a major thing for Murray because it should give him a lot of confidence moving forward.
He's always maintained confidence about his grass level putting himself among the top 10 players on the Atp Tour on the surface before the event. He's certainly looking like that right now but the true test will come at Wimbledon in a few weeks. For now, the win was great for him.

Exclusive: The Santa Clauses needed someone to play the Easter Bunny in season two, so they went to the only person who could truly embody the cuddly part: the inimitable Tracy Morgan.
The casting of Morgan marks a reunion, of sorts, for the comedian and Santa Clauses creator Jack Burditt; the two worked together on 30 Rock. It’s unclear, for now, how Morgan’s character will hop into the plot.
