There are not many documentaries, shows, or films that explore the bubble created by Bitcoin or cryptocurrency. There is still a lot of ambiguity about how it works or how people work around it because of the nature of the product and there being zero regulations to control the movement of the said entity, which exists only in digital form. Bryan Storkel’s Bitconned is a wordplay on the name of the first big crypto and is a documentary film on the firm Centra Tech that had plans to diversify their product-based company surrounding the cryptocurrency and an ambitious plan to be a virtual banking system based only on the digital form of currency.
Bitconned documentary right from the beginning jumps into understanding who Ray (Raymond) Trapani is and his vast interest in committing crimes, or, as he stated, wanting to become a “criminal.” Ray Trapani comes from a family of criminals,...

In the past two years, Priscilla Presley's life has been back in the spotlight. Between 2022 and 2023, not one but two films were made with Elvis Presley as the subject: Baz Luhrmann's Oscar-winning "Elvis" and Sophia Coppola's "Priscilla" - the latter of which is based on Priscilla's 1985 memoir, "Elvis and Me." The film stars Jacob Elordi as the King of Rock and Roll, with Cailee Spaeny portraying Priscilla from ages 14 to 27, the ages she was romantically involved with Elvis. "Priscilla" is a personal and intimate look at Presley's early relationship with and marriage to Elvis, which has often been overshadowed by the late singer's fame. "It's very difficult to sit and watch a film about you, about your life, about your love," Priscilla said during a September press conference at the Venice Film Festival "Priscilla" premiere (via Variety). "Sofia did an amazing job.

New Orleans – It seems right that a facility once used to make components of the Saturn V rocket for Nasa now houses a film set being used to catapult the imagination far into the future. Jules Verne wrote "From the Earth to the Moon," as science fiction, but the Saturn V helped make traveling to the moon a reality. The tables are now turned as a wholly different, and quite fictional, sort of traveling is being contemplated inside, and it is more of the H.G. Wells variety than the sort Verne envisioned. On a huge sound stage inside that Nasa facility is machine constructed for traveling, not in time but in space. Referred to by those working on the production as a "Tdd," the machine on set is a Time Displacement Device, and it looks as though the entire thing can spin around creating something of a sphere around those in the device.

Part 2 of 3 Terminator Franchise Retrospective. (Part 1 / Part 3)
Personal Canon #81 (see full index)
Spoilers abound but you've had 18 years to see the movie...
Once the big profits for the small budgeted The Terminator began rolling in in October of '84, James Cameron became a hot commodity. He wasted no time on the follow up. Twenty-one months later the release of the much larger sci-fi spectacle Aliens catapulted him from "filmmaker to watch" to the real deal. His current long absence from the multiplex -- Avatar's December bow will end a 12 year drought -- makes this easy to forget but it's true: the director once moved swiftly through the stages of filmmaking if never quite as rapidly as his movies moved through their action. After Aliens, he left outer space for the deep seas with The Abyss (another hit) and having proved himself thrice over, returned to the killer robots that made his name.
