- Jean-Yves Escoffier was born on July 12, 1950 in Lyon, France. He was a cinematographer, known for The Lovers on the Bridge (1991), 15 Minutes (2001) and Good Will Hunting (1997). He died on April 1, 2003 in Los Angeles, California, USA.
- A graduate of the Paris' École Louis Lumière, Escoffier was noted for his collaborations with the director Leon Carax. He worked in the U.S. from the early 1990's. In addition to feature films, he also shot numerous TV commercials, music videos and short subjects.
