Stand-up comedian / actor Bill Burr just made his feature directorial debut with the Netflix-released comedy Old Dads (you can read the JoBlo review at This Link), which is cool and all… but here on Arrow in the Head, the horror side of the JoBlo Network, we’re more interested in hearing Burr’s opinions on horror films. That’s why it caught our attention when YouTuber James Whale Bake Sale made a video to go with a clip from Burr’s podcast Monday Morning Podcast in which the comedian discusses the horror classic Friday the 13th – and goes on to explain why he stopped watching horror movies.
The video can be seen at the bottom of this article, and over the course of its five minutes he admits that the final jump scare in Friday the 13th really did scare the hell out of him, says that the franchise...

Three years ago, Paramount Pictures gave the 1980 classic Friday the 13th (watch it Here) a Blu-ray steelbook release to celebrate the film’s 40th anniversary. Now the folks at Fridaythe13thFranchise have caught word that Paramount is set to give the film a 4K steelbook release on October 10th – three days before an actual Friday the 13th rolls around on the calendar. They even got their hands on a picture of the 4K steelbook, and you can check it out at the bottom of this article.
It looks like this steelbook will be using the same artwork as the Blu-ray steelbook, but it will also come with a slipcover featuring artwork that was used for Waxwork Records’ vinyl release of the film’s score.
Directed by Sean S. Cunningham from a screenplay by Victor Miller, Friday the 13th has the following synopsis: Crystal Lake’s history of murder doesn’t...

Sean S. Cunningham directs this legendary Friday 13, the first of an endless saga of terror films that gave rise to one of the bloodiests baddies in the history of movies: Jason Voorhees
Friday 13 was the second slasher in the history of movies which for many might not seem to be much, but for fans of horror films, this was a revelation and for producers a product with great rentability.
Premise
In the Crystal Lake camp two kids have died recently, and now the camp attempts to open its gates again with new monitors who arrive at the camp to prepare everything. However, someone does not seem to agree with this and starts methodically killing off the campers.

“It’s got a death curse!” One of the most well known slashers in American horror doesn’t need to be refreshed in most horror fans minds because they know it very well. What the crew thought would just be a simple slasher film turned out to be a movement that spurned an entire franchise around it even spawning a remake in the 21st century. We all have our favorite Disney film, but for those who belong to a certain generation, the films released during the Disney Renaissance era (1989-1999) hold a special place. This era saw the company produce some of their most commercially and critically successful films in Disney’s history, by injecting its own unique brand of magic into well-known fairy tales and stories.
A key feature from this era is 1991’s Beauty and the Beast. Based on the French fairy tale by Jeanne-Marie Le Prince de Beaumont, the film sees Belle (voiced by Paige O’Hara), a young woman who becomes imprisoned in an attempt to save her father by the monstrous Beast (Robby Benson), a selfish young prince transformed into a monster by a curse until he can learn how to love.
Beauty and the Beast wasn’t the company’s first attempt to bring the fairy tale to the big screen.

Beauty and the Beast was a film where all the stars aligned, a piece of art made all the more incredible by the circumstances surrounding it. Disney has retold many timeless stories from Cinderella to the recent The Princess and the Frog, but Beauty and the Beast was groundbreaking in its technology, music, casting method, critical praise, and in its portrayal of women, breaking the mold for future Disney princesses. Romantics, children at heart, and movie lovers alike should add Beauty and the Beast to their Blu-ray collection.
Beauty and the Beast tells the story of a selfish prince (Robby Benson) who is cursed with a powerful enchantment after he dismisses an old beggar woman and leaves her to the winter cold. He is turned into a beast, and his household servants are transformed into household items like candlesticks, clocks, and teapots. If he is to break the spell, he...

A tale as old as time, a sumptuous visual feast, that.s the Blu-ray release of Beauty and the Beast. Disney shines once again as they do up their high definition release of one of their flagship films with a gaggle of more special features that you could shake an animated candlestick at. Belle (Paige O.Hara) lives in a French village but dreams of bigger things and fantasizes of romance like she reads in her beloved books. Maurice (Rex Everhart), her father, is an eccentric inventor and her hand in marriage is being pursued by the conceited, arrogant Gaston (Richard White) but she has no desire to become Mrs. Gaston. Maurice is on his way to a fair...

Movie Review: Beauty and the Beast 3D; Starring: Voices of Paige O’Hara, Robby Benson, Rex Everhart and Richard White; Director duo: Gary Trousdale and Kirk Wise; Rating: *** – Super cute fun.
Beauty and the Beast the 1991 released Disney classic has been rejuvenated with 3D and more polished animation for the new release. But even then, this movie is sheer as much worth a watch for nostalgia sense as is for the beautiful love story it narrates.
Belle (voice of Paige O’Hara) is the most beautiful girl in a provincial town in France. Unfortunately.
