We know that a Booster Gold Max series is in the very early staged of development, but a recent rumor claimed that the project might be quite a bit further along than we realized.
According to the report, filming is scheduled for July, and the lead role has been cast - though there was no mention of which actor supposedly landed the part. Considering it's pretty much been radio silence on the show since it was first announced, this update seemed a little shaky, and DC Studios co-ceo James Gunn has now debunked the rumor.
The Guardians of the Galaxy and The Suicide Squad director was asked if "the rumor that Booster Gold will be recorded on July 8th true? Will it be the next big Dcu series after Peacemaker Season 2 or will it be Amanda Waller's series" on his recent Ma and Pa Kent post, and responded: "Although...

In the vast universe of DC comics, Booster Gold is a superhero unlike any other. What sets him apart is not his futuristic technology or time-traveling antics, but rather his insatiable thirst for power and fame. After two brief live-action appearances in DC, the fan-favorite character will be making his way to the Dcu under James Gunn.
Booster Gold from DC Comics
Slated to have his own HBO Max series, fans have since been busy fan-casting several actors in the role. While Chris Pratt seems to be leading the race, James Gunn recently dismissed the rumors that the series is starting production soon.

DC Studios' "Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters" slate left us with plenty to be excited about, but news of a Booster Gold TV series coming to Max was arguably among James Gunn's most thrilling announcements.
Fans have been waiting a long time to see the time-travelling superhero in live-action, and while Donald Faison briefly showed up in what would become Legends of Tomorrow's series finale following its cancellation, the character has yet to be given the chance to shine on screen (Eric Martsolf briefly played him in Smallville).
That will soon change, and all signs point to Xolo Maridueña's Blue Beetle joining the time-travelling superhero.
A recent Production List update suggested Booster Gold will start shooting in July. Now, scooper @MyTimeToShineH has chimed in, claiming that is indeed the case. Even more exciting, though, is the fact the character has supposedly been cast in the Dcu!

NBC has joined other networks in adding to the slew of cancellations on television. It was announced that a new fan-favorite comedy series would be canceled after just one season. Continue reading for the details about what the latest cancellation is and what’s behind it.
NBC Decides Against Renewing New Comedy Series
Extended Family was granted a pilot episode in 2022. The pilot wound up being a great success and several big names signed up to be part of the show. Some of the names included in the project were Jon Cryer (Two and a Half Men), Abigail Spencer (Grey’s Anatomy), and Donald Faison (Scrubs).
However, when they started filming, it was delayed by the strikes, which went on for several months. They were able to film six episodes before the strikes, leaving the remaining seven episodes left to film once production resumed four days after the end of the SAG-AFTRA strike.

Ahead of next week’s upfront presentation to Madison Avenue ad buyers, NBC has solidified its comedy lineup for the 2024-25 broadcast season.
The network has handed out a series order to the multicamera comedy Happy’s Place, starring Reba McEntire, and renewed George Lopez’s half-hour Lopez vs. Lopez for a third season. Additionally, NBC has canceled rookie comedy Extended Family, starring Jon Cryer.
Happy’s Place, which was picked up to pilot in late January, revolves around Bobbie (McEntire), who inherits her father’s restaurant and is less than thrilled to discover that she has a new business partner in the half-sister she never knew she had. The series reunites McEntire with the team behind her eponymous 2001 sitcom, including showrunner Kevin Abbott and co-star Melissa Peterman. Belissa Escobedo, Pablo Castelblanco, Tokala Black Elk and Rex Linn round out the cast of the series, which is produced in-house at Universal Television.

There’s no Superman in the picture, but some of the core cast of Scrubs recently got together for a little pizza party. It may not be the reunion that fans want, but it’s still pretty cool seeing J.D., Elliot, the Janitor, and more are still close.
In an Instagram post, Chris Miller (Jordan Sullivan) shared the reunion pic along with a caption that read, “Impromptu pizza party with my Scrubs”. Those Scrubs were: series lead Zach Braff (J.D. Exclusive: First in a series on broadcast network series renewals. NBC is well ahead of the game this season on the renewal-decision front, handing early pickups to freshman dramas Found and The Irrational as well as One Chicago, Law & Order and Law & Order: Svu while canceling Quantum Leap, La Brea and Magnum Pi.
That leaves just a headful of shows on the bubble, mostly on the comedy side. The one drama series still waiting to hear its fate is Law & Order: Organized Crime. It’s always been an outlier, a departure from the Dick Wolf procedural brand with its darker and serialized storytelling. This weekend, the biggest sporting event on the Stateside calendar, the Super Bowl, went down between the San Francisco 49ers and the Taylor Swiftie… Sorry (checks notes), Kansas City Chiefs. And with a massive guaranteed TV audience, that naturally meant companies shelling out not just $7 million for 30 seconds of precious airtime, but millions more to secure celebrity faces and guarantee viewers/clicks. As is usual these days, most of the ads went up days before the event itself, or the spots linked to longer versions online. Here is a roundup of our favourites…
State Farm: Arnold Schwarzenegger
Arnie's spot for the insurance company is, like so many of these short clips, really only a two-joke piece: 1. Arnie is in it 2. He pronounces "neighbour" "neighbah". Oh, and the extended version also has his old pal Danny DeVito in it. For a second.
Booking.com: Tina Fey
Wither Idris and (more recently) Melissa McCarthy?...

Super Bowl Lviii is in the books, and with the big game comes the big game TV spots for upcoming anticipated films. Viewers were able to get a peek at trailers for Kung Fu Panda 4, Deadpool & Wolverine, Wicked, If, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, Twisters and more. In addition to movie ads, Super Bowl commercials would feature traditional cameos from various notable names. In a T-Mobile ad, the cast of Suits would reunite along with several other appearances by Academy Award hopeful Bradley Cooper, Common, Donald Faison and Zach Braff. State Farm pulled out a big gun with Arnold Schwarzenegger starring in a fictional action movie and playing on his accent in a joke that resembled a classic Simpsons gag.

Let’s be honest, we’ve seen the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers go head-to-head at the Super Bowl, but what’s always fresh and new are ads that air during the commercial breaks.
From Michael Cera’s partnership with CeraVe to a “Suits” reunion in Judge Judy’s courtroom, there’s truly nothing you can plan to expect from the lineup of Super Bowl commercials. Well, except for maybe another Ben Affleck-Dunkin’ Donuts collaboration, which is now a fan favorite. And who could blame him, the actor was reportedly paid $10 million for his 30-second spot he’s slated to appear in this year.
When the game isn’t on, the Super Bowl commercials keep you occupied and entertained. While some have already aired, there are many more to come as fans lead up to kickoff off on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. Est.

The Kansas City Chiefs aren’t the only returnees to the Super Bowl.
Bradley Cooper and his mother, who last year raised eyebrows with a no-frills commercial for T-Mobile, are making a new play. Jon Cryer appeared on the Feb. 9 episode of “The View” and more or less shot down the idea of a “Two and a Half Men” reboot ever being made. Cryer starred on the CBS mega-hit sitcom for 12 seasons, eight of which he co-headlined with Charlie Sheen. Ashton Kutcher replaced Sheen for the final four seasons after Sheen exited the show amid controversy over comments he made about creator Chuck Lorre. Production on the show’s eighth season was cut short after Sheen checked into rehab for drugs.

Jason Momoa thinks the Super Bowl just might do wonders for his comedy career.
The actor is best best known for his turns in action-heavy projects such as “Aquaman,” “Dune” and “Game of Thrones,” but gets to shake it all off in a new T-Mobile Super Bowl commercial. Momoa gets doused with water, hits a few high notes in song, does a flip and even meets Jennifer Beals, the actor who starred in the “Flashdance” movie.
“People are just seeing a different side of me,” Momoa tells Variety in an interview, while noting that he’s primarily “known as a dramatic actor” due to the roles he won early in his career. But...
