Chris Noth made his final appearance on the CBS drama The Equilizer on Sunday night’s episode titled, “Separated,” a source confirmed to Deadline.
It was announced on Dec. 20 that Noth had been fired from the Queen Latifah-led series amid multiple accusations of sexual assault against the Sex and the City and Law Order alum. He has denied the allegations.
In last night’s episode, Noth’s character William Bishop pulled a Hail Mary move to save a colleague who was ready to take the fall for his involvement with Bishop and Latifah’s Robyn McCall’s top-secret dealings. The jailbird was Harry Keshegian (Adam Goldberg), a hacker extraordinaire who was arrested by the FBI for breaching the CIA’s confidential files.
“Bish, he got caught because of us and he kept both of our names out of it,” Robyn, a former CIA operative turned vigilante, tells her old friend.

When last we visited Clark Kent and Lana Lang, they were at college, leaving Smallville behind and as Season Three of the syndicated series arrived, it came with changes. The first was that Superboy became The Adventures of Superboy and then the focus moved the characters from the well-named Shuster University to a quasi-internship at The Bureau for Extra-Normal Matters in Capitol City, Florida. Clearly, the actors were aging and the premise of them being in college stopped making sense, plus menace of the week stories was becoming tougher to make plausible on the static campus. The more plausible setting worked for super-heroes but certainly took something away from the civilian side of life, a similar issue plaguing Smallville in its latter seasons.

The Premier of Ontario needs a heart, but it can't be from a pig! In the late 21st century, the city of Toronto has gone bankrupt and all the rich people have fled to the suburbs, leaving the poor people and the crime bosses to run the inner city as they see fit. In this way, the setting for Brown Girl in the Ring* by Nalo Hopkinson, has striking similarities to the documentary Requiem for Detroit about the current urban decay of a once great city. I've been feeling a little post-apocalyptic lately due to my grad research about development aid, so this book helped soothe my fretful mind about what we'll do when all of our carefully constructed, if not totally irresponsible and selfish, economic systems of unsustainable resource and cheap human labour exploitation comes crashing down around our ears. The answer is: we'll survive.
