Award winning Director/Writer Janine Fung won 2 awards for her feature
documentary La Gaita, People's Choice Award: Best Documentary Film and
Special Mention Jury Award: Best T&T Feature Film at the TTFF 2012.
Fung's short films Leftovers (1994) and 4am (2011) had their World
Premieres at the Toronto International Film Festival. Janine Fung's
wild narration for Leftovers garnered critical acclaim from Cameron
Bailey who was a writer for NOW Magazine back in 1994.
Janine's first dramatic feature The Doctor's Daughter or the Secret and
the Lie had it's World Premiere at the San Francisco International Film
Festival Frameline LGBT 2006. This feature went on to screen in
Germany, Trinidad, Toronto, Atlanta, Los Angeles and Croatia.
Janine writes her own scripts and then finds the money to produce and
direct her own films. She started her own production company, Janine
Fung Film Media INC, officially last year in 2011.
