The world heard how former American football player and actor O.J. Simpson passed away on April 10, 2024, at age 76. As expected, the news of his demise was met with mixed feelings.
While some were unhappy with his death (he died of cancer), the majority couldn’t hide their gladness that he had finally left this world, especially because he was not found guilty of murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ronald Goldman.
Among those who couldn’t be happier with his death includes Caitlyn Jenner who has never hidden the fact that she believes Simpson to be the murderer of Brown and Goldman.
While several stars sent their condolences to Simpson’s family, Jenner simply took to the X platform formerly known as Twitter on April 11, to tweet, “Good Riddance.”

Following the death of Oj Simpson this week, veteran TV presenter and comedienne Ruby Wax has written about the time she spent interviewing the footballing legend turned pariah for her BBC chat show.
Back in 1998, Wax travelled to Los Angeles where she spent 17 hours with Simpson. Writing in The Times of London this weekend, she says the moment he re-enacted his alleged killings of his ex-wife Nicole and her friend Ron Goldman – for which he went through “the trial of the century” before being acquitted in 1995 – wasn’t even the weirdest part of the day.
Wax writes:
“After a manic 17 hours’ filming, I asked him for the final time whether he was involved in the 1994 murders of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ronald Goldman. I was sure we could get him to confess. But he simply turned to the camera, said “no” and gave a rueful smile.

The family of the late Ronald Goldman, whom O.J. Simpson was accused of murdering along with ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson outside of her Brentwood home, is calling the death of the man they believe killed Ron, “a mixed bag of complicated emotions.”
Simpson died Wednesday after a battle with cancer, his family said.
And the death of the man they call “Ron’s killer,” Ron’s sister, Kim, and father, Fred, say in a statement posted to social media, means “the hope for true accountability has ended.”
But they insist they will carry on with their efforts to seek justice for victims and survivors.

In addition to having two kids with Brown, the former NFL player had three children with Marguerite Whitley, his first wife. But while his family is grieving, did you know that a few weeks prior to his death, Simpson had made an awkward joke about ‘confessing’?

Associated Press journalist Linda Deutsch was already a legendary court reporter when O.J. Simpson stood trial for killing his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman. She’d covered high-profile criminal legal proceedings involving everyone from Charles Manson and Patty Hearst to Sirhan Sirhan and the “Night Stalker,” Richard Ramirez.
But Judge Lance Ito designated Deutsch the trial’s pool reporter and she soon became a familiar face to millions as a trusted TV commentator providing context for the case. Simpson himself approved of her coverage and, after he was acquitted, she became his go-to media contact for exclusive interviews in the ensuing decades.
The Hollywood Reporter spoke to Deutsch, who retired in 2014, after the Simpson family announced the Heisman winner turned actor and pitchman died on April 10.

As you've likely heard by now, O.J. Simpson has passed away at the age of 76.
One of the most famous -- and infamous -- Americans of the modern era, Simpson was known for many things:
He was, of course, a world-class athlete, a standout at running back for the NFL's Buffalo Bills and San Francisco 49ers.
Later in life, he would become the center of the most high-profile murder trial of the 20th century,
And though he beat the charges under dubious circumstances, the lingering suspicion that Simpson murdered his wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ronald Goldman, would make him a pariah in the upper-crust social circles that had served as his comfortable domain for so many years.
But before O.J. ever earned a dime from professional football -- before he was arrested for murder and before he served nine years in prison on unrelated robbery and...

It could have been a disaster: an exploitative ratings grab, a glorified Lifetime movie full of stunt casting, a wallow in a scandalous murder that might have filled tabloid columns two decades ago but had little impact on the world today. But for those who put aside those preconceived notions and tuned in, “The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story,” the 10-part miniseries recreation of the trial of football and movie star O.J. Simpson for the murder of Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman, was a triumphant, multi-faceted, novelistic, utterly relevant take on the story with about a dozen of the best performances you’ll see on television this year (not to mention a ratings smash and a likely Emmys juggernaut). I’ll be honest here: I was sort of dreading the series in advance, and only tuned in because the advance reviews had been so strong. I was feeling a bit true-crime-d out,...

The trial of the century is over—again. FX's The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story wrapped up with the shocking verdict—spoiler warning, O.J. Simpson was found not guilty of the murders of Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman—and more than a few messages about race and domestic violence in America. FX's The People v. O.J. Simpson shed new light on the sexism Marcia Clark faced as a woman in power, the divisive environment Los Angeles was in the 1990s and so much more. For the cast, they all had different hopes for what the audience would take away from the critically acclaimed series. "The main thing I think was clear, and why everyone has recommitted themselves to the event is...

Thanks to the recent 20th anniversary of the trial and its verdict, and, particularly, given the current FX series American Crime Story: The People vs. O.J. The case ventured into new territory on tonight's episode of American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson. Simi Valley, to be exact. Even if you live in Los Angeles, it isn't easy to get a handle on its many zip codes (90210 is just one of dozens), its cross-the-street-and-you're-in-a-different-neighborhood sprawl or its patience-obliterating freeway system. And a major character of the saga unfolding weekly on FX has been the city itself, including who lives where and what that means.
