This earworm-y party song was penned by none other than Mr. 305 and Ne-Yo, and comes from tonight's (semi-confusing) episode of Empire. The video, which also premiered tonight, is the wild work of Gil Green. Two quick takeaways: 1) Fittingly, this is what The Great Gatsby might look like if it were set somewhere in present-day Florida; 2) Pitbull might be trying to bring back the text-message signature.

'We're unified,' Birdman tells MTV News of clip featuring Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne.

Birdman has every reason to smile, and in his latest video, for "Y.U. Mad," the #1 Stunna puts his diamond-encrusted grill on full display. Not only is his Ymcmb record label the biggest rap label of the year thanks to high-profile releases from Lil Wayne and Drake, but the camaraderie displayed in his new clip, which premiered on MTV2 on Sunday, is very real — both on and off camera.
"We like this with each other on an everyday basis. It's just fortunate that it's a video and they get to see it in that way," Birdman told MTV News from his trailer on set of the "Y.U. Mad" video shoot in Miami back in October.

If Lupe Fiasco didn't win you over with his live performance of "Out of My Head" at the MTV Movie Awards, he may just charm you with the official music video. Co-starring Trey Songz on the hook, the video takes Lupe through his day, as he walks out of his building, onto the sidewalk and into his waiting car. But everywhere he goes -- he sees his girl. It won't win him any Academy Awards, but the look on his face each time he makes eye contact with his lady is pretty priceless. The clip was directed by Gil Green, who's mostly...

After four indie studio albums, DJ Khaled has finally scored a record deal with a major label when preparing his fifth studio installment. The Miami deejay is going to drop the effort, titled "We the Best Forever", under We the Best Music Group, Terror Squad Entertainment, Cash Money Records and Universal Motown.
The album is going to make its way out across the United States on July 19. A lot of A-list stars such as Kanye West, Jay-z, Birdman, T.I. and Akon are expected to make contribution to the upcoming album. Young Money members like Tyga and Nicki Minaj are attached to the project as well.

Khaled — along with Lil Wayne, Plies, Rick Ross and T-Pain — headed to the Overton area of Miami on Thursday to shoot the 'hood-centric visual and told MTV News that the clip will reflect the same rugged bombast of the posse cut.

Birdman's "Fire Flame" remix which features Lil Wayne has got its music video debuted in full. In this Gil Green-directed clip, the Cash Money/Young Money members are hot literally as fire is set off inside the room where they spit their verses.
"The song's called 'Fire Flame' so you're in our fire room. Right now, it doesn't look like much but in a few seconds ... it's going to be incredible. It's going to get real hot in here," Green told MTV. Temperature in the room runs high not only from the fire but also from sexy ladies pulling racy swag in their skimpy outfit and suggestive moves.
"Fire Flame" is expected to appear in Birdman's upcoming new release "Bigger Than Life".

Lil Wayne joins fellow rapper Birdman to film a music video for "Fire Flame" remix with Gil Green serving as director. They shot performance scene in a "fire room" and were joined by Cash Money/Young Money members including DJ Khaled. Young Money president Mack Maine paid a visit as well.

According to Diddy, he had a specific plan when he mapped out Last Train to Paris.
"I wanted to be smart enough to go to the newest generation, the flyest, young gun of MCs and writers and humbly ask them for help," he told MTV News. "To be honest, a lot of cats were busy. I can respect that. But Drake took the time to stop what he was doing and he was the hottest one in the game. He came to my house for two days, we went to Canada for three days."
The result was "Loving You No More," the latest single from Diddy's Dirty Money project, Last Train.

"It was dope. While I was on the set, I told Spiff I was proud of him to see where we started from, the viral ground up, to seeing the homie with a budget and a production crew and a [photography director] and playback screens," Ross said Friday (September 24) via phone from Dallas. The Brooklyn Mc scored nods in the Best Male Hip-Hop Artist, Best Collaboration ("Empire State of Mind"), Video of the Year ("Empire State of Mind" and "Run this Town") and Viewer's Choice categories to lead the way with five nominations, it was announced Tuesday (May 18).
Teen heart throb Justin Bieber picked up a surprise nomination for Best New Artist, his only recognition. "That was not a joke," Bet executive Stephen Hill said, laughing in response to the singer's nod.

The just-premiered, Gil Green-directed video for "Lay Back," from Ross' Deeper Than Rap, might be more enticing than a Miami tourism promotion. "So I makes the scene, start throwing faces." Thicke then sings: "If you came to get the party started, just say, 'Nah, nah, nah.' "

Rick Ross debuts a music video for "Cigar Music", one of the tracks found on his third studio album "Deeper Than Rap". Details of the music video history are not released but apparently the rapper shot two music videos when he visited Medellin, Colombia earlier this year.
In the first week of May, Rick released a music video for "All I Really Want" which was directed by Gil Green and shot at "the exact spot where they shot [Colombian drug kingpin] Pablo Escobar in the head." The video of "Cigar Music" has the same scene of the Colombian children and the street life but it is compared to the luxurious and well-established lifestyle in Las Vegas, U.S.
The video for "Cigar Music" is directed by Spiff TV and is featuring the song's collaborator Masspike Miles.
"Deeper Than Rap" was released on April 21 this year, debuting at #1 on Billboard Hot 200 chart with 158,000 units sold.
