Stephen Amell starred as Oliver Queen a.k.a Green Arrow in the CW series Arrow. The show spawned the Arrowverse, including shows such as The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, and more. It went on for eight seasons, ending in 2019. The show crossed over with other shows in the Arrowverse and saw many prominent DC characters make an appearance.
While the show included popular characters such as Deathstroke, Black Canary, and the Monitor, the makers revealed that they never intended to introduce some of these characters so early into the show. Characters such as Deathstroke and Arsenal a.k.a Roy Harper appeared in season 1 of the show despite being planned for much later.

Batman Beyond is one of the DC properties that is rife with live-action potential and would slot in perfectly in James Gunn’s new Dcu. The original animated series introduced the character of Terry McGinnis, who took over the mantle of Batman as Bruce Wayne’s successor, with the latter serving as his mentor.
A still from Batman Beyond
Actor Tyler Posey, best known for his work in MTV’s Teen Wolf, has expressed his desire to play the character in a live-action adaptation of Batman Beyond. Given Posey’s passion for the character and the overall vibe of Batman Beyond, the actor makes a strong case for being cast as Terry McGinnis. Here is what Tyler Posey said about his hopes of featuring in a Batman Beyond adaptation and why James Gunn must cast him in the Dcu.

Stephen Amell’s Arrow is one of the most well-received superhero shows on the CW network that started the whole Arrowverse which included Supergirl, The Flash, etc. The series went on for eight successful seasons and Amell’s Oliver Queen went on a great journey, portraying the character’s shades with great conviction.

The show also had Katie Cassidy, Colin Donnell, David Ramsey, and Colton Haynes in pivotal roles for 7 years over 8 seasons. Haynes particularly had a notably reduced role in the final season of the show. In his new memoir, he states that the reason behind it was due to an alleged feud with one of his castmates.

Paul McCartney was helpless as he watched The Beatles fall apart despite his best efforts to stop the breakup. The unofficial songwriting competition between Paul and John Lennon stressed the band to the breaking point. Yet Macca couldn’t keep himself from forming a new band, and it might have saved his life. McCartney’s Wings bandmate Henry McCullough pulled a knife and drove away a person who said he wanted to kill Paul.

It didn’t take Led Zeppelin long to find a devoted following after they debuted in 1968. A few fellow musicians hated the band, but fans loved them. Drummer John Bonham explained Zep’s popularity succinctly — they placed the music above everything else and delivered tunes fans wanted to hear. The band burst out of the gate playing (more or less) straightforward heavy blues, but these five Led Zeppelin songs showed an experimental side that proved they had a lot more to offer.

Jimmy Page’s chugging call-and-response riff and Robert Plant’s libido-fueled lyrics don’t necessarily cover any ground the band hadn’t tread on its debut. But it didn’t take long for Led Zeppelin II’s first track to veer off the beaten path.

I don't think there has been a superhero television series with an as expansive legacy as "Arrow." Premiering on The CW in 2012, the series not only ran for impressive eight seasons but spawned the "Arrowverse," a shared television universe. "Arrow" led to the creation of "The Flash," "Legends of Tomorrow," and more, with these DC Comics-inspired series regularly crossing over with one another. The show stars Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, a playboy who returns to his hometown of Star City after presumingly being stranded on a remote island for five years, as the vigilante Green Arrow.
Initially coming out the gate as a dark and gritty take on the Green Arrow mythos, "Arrow" let itself get weird and leaned into its comic book origins for an entertaining, if uneven, superhero show. There is a wide range of quality across the show's entire run, from its attempts to visibly...

According to VancouverFilm.Net, The CW has finally confirmed actor Colton Haynes will return to "Arrow" in a reprisal of his role as crime-fighting vigilante archer 'Roy Harper', aka 'Arsenal':
"We're thrilled to announce that Colton Haynes will be reprising his role as Roy Harper for a short arc on Arrow this year", according to "Arrow" executive producers Marc Guggenheim and Wendy Mericle.
"Roy is called back to 'Star City' to help resolve an urgent matter with high stakes for the team. His short visit turns into something surprising when he reunites with Thea and sparks a change in both of their lives that will have long-lasting consequences."

In the illustrious history of Arrow, it could be argued that the most popular hero to fight alongside Oliver Queen was that of Roy Harper, played by fan favorite actor Colton Haynes. Originally introduced in the back half of season 1, we saw this young man organically develop and eventually blossom into the vigilante known as Arsenal in season 3, with one badass costume to boot.
But, as fate would have it, Haynes was contracted for but a few seasons, and an exit was plotted for him late in season 3. As you may recall, Roy publicly took the fall for Oliver by saying that he was the original Arrow before faking his own death. In the time since, we’ve seen him come back for a guest shot, but he’s remained in the hearts and minds of Arrowverse junkies everywhere.
More recently, there were rumblings that Haynes would make his triumphant return to Star City,...

More than three months after Colton Haynes teased an Arrow encore via Twitter — and just days after series lead Stephen Amell reignited that buzz by circulating an old video of them filming together — The CW has officially announced the when and why of Roy Harper’s return.
Haynes will be back for a short arc, the network says, starting with the 15th episode of this season. (Arrow returns from the holiday break on Thursday, Jan. 18, with Episode 10.)
“We’re thrilled to announce that Colton Haynes will be reprising his role as Roy Harper,” executive producers Marc Guggenheim and Wendy Mericle said in a statement.

The details have been set for Roy Harper's return to Arrow. The wayward sidekick will be making his way back to Arrow in season 6 for a short arc that promises to have big ramifications. While the season 6 appearance(s) won't be the first for Colton Haynes since exiting the series in season 3, it does seem like it will be the most significant one yet --especially in terms of how it will relate to Roy's one-time love, Thea Queen.

One thing I’ve long admired about The CW is that it’s had a knack for assembling great ensemble casts, no matter what series it may be for. And most fortunate for us superhero fans, the trend continued with Arrow and its subsequent sister shows, especially when it came to sidekicks and other masked crimefighters who are there to orbit the titular heroes.
A prime example of this would be that of Roy Harper, played by fan favorite actor Colton Haynes. Originally introduced in the back half of Arrow season 1, we saw this young man organically develop and eventually blossom into the hero known as Arsenal in season 3, with one badass costume to boot. Really, I’m wondering if his threads were part of the reason Oliver upgraded his suit in season 4. You can’t have your sidekicks looking cooler than you, now can you?

It’s been an important couple of weeks for the Waverider crew on Legends of Tomorrow. Firstly, in last week’s “Crisis on Earth-x” crossover, Dr. Martin Stein tragically died when helping his friends fight the Nazis from another universe. The following week, in the show’s midseason finale, his Firestorm partner Jefferson “Jax” Jefferson decided to quit the team, too.
The two halves of Firestorm were founding member of the Legends and so, they leave a big gap to be filled. In an intriguing revelation, though, the show’s exec producer has explained that a hero already familiar to Arrowverse viewers will take their place on the time machine. Marc Guggenheim told ComicBook.com that “a previously established character from the Arrowverse” would be joining Legends of Tomorrow next year.

There’s no doubt in my mind that there were many positive things to be said about season 5 of Arrow. But in an effort to not dwell on the past too much, I’ll say that one of those elements vital to helping the series reattain its former glory was that of Prometheus, one of the deadliest, most calculating villains that Oliver Queen and his cohorts have faced to date.
Fortunately – or unfortunately, depending on whom you may ask – Adrian Chase took his own life at the end of May’s finale, thereby triggering hundreds of bombs on Lian Yu hooked up to a dead man’s switch, the ramifications of which are still to be explored. But with the concept of the multiverse being fair game, a return of some sort isn’t out of the question.

In the past few years, Arrow has certainly seen its share of tragedy. Whether it be the loss of Laurel Lance, Tommy Merlyn or Moira Queen, Oliver Queen has certainly had much guilt weighing on him throughout his crusade, causing him to show some cracks as of late.
Although each of those developments were met by varying reactions from the fanbase, it’s undeniable that they each helped shape this version of the Green Arrow into the man he is today. Still, there were a few missteps made during season 4, but fortunately, the minds behind the series have made a particularly strong course correction.
There are, however, two lines that executive producer Marc Guggenheim won’t cross, as he recently told Entertainment Weekly:
“There’s two lines in the sand that I’ve drawn for Arrow for myself. I can’t speak for Greg [Berlanti] or for Wendy [Mericle], but for as...

Did Thea do what needed to be done?
That was a key question after Arrow Season 5 Episode 14 in which she went all-out in her mission to take down Susan.

What did you think of the ladies returning to wreak havoc?
Jim: Kelly Hu's wig was horrible. Other than that best I can say is "meh." Seemed like a convenient "bad guy of the week" didn't really add anything to the overall story.
Kathleen: It came across as a "designated girls team-up" story. Cupid always struck me as a rather silly character; then there were over-wrought rogue cop Liza Warner and stone-hearted Triad hit-woman China White. The idea that these three would stick together longer than it took to effect a jailbreak was... unlikely.

So, this entire season I have had it nailed that Prometheus must be either Yao Fei, Shado Fei, or perhaps even Slade Wilson himself. After one quick phrase on Wednesday I perhaps may be under thinking things. After Ollie shoots Prometheus with a gas dart, which I swore he said was Diazepam (Valium - a sedative, specifically a benzodiazepine), Prometheus replied that he has a tolerance.
Hmmm. This may be a key reference to the children of Justin Clayborne that the series has eluded to over the past few episodes in being involved with Prometheus. He may have a tolerance to dycloseral -- the drug used in the very early parts of the show by this minor antagonist to battle a disease that Justin caused.

While it’s understandable that DC Entertainment make Green Arrow a higher priority these days given the success of the hit CW television series Arrow, not many of us foresaw Oliver Queen’s comic book exploits becoming one of the best titles the publisher has put out since the Rebirth initiative kicked off last June.
Although the current run has familiar elements like Black Canary and some ties to the TV show like John Diggle, it’s very much a different beast. The Green Arrow himself is less Bruce Wayne-like in behavior and, well, more like Oliver Queen, as he should be. Those who love his social justice warrior quality made popular by the legendary creative team of Denny O’Neil and Neal Adams have had much to enjoy from the current take.
Much of the credit can be given to Benjamin Percy, who has reinvigorated the character like few others ever have.

After Oliver and his father are attacked in an alley, the Green Arrow saves them. It seems as if the members of the team who were abducted are in this alternate reality, yet have glimpses of their actual self, but cannot quite make sense of what is happening.

I've got some amazing news for all you Young Justice fans out there! The classic animated series has officially been renewed for a third season! The news comes directly from Warner Bros. Animation and they released the teaser image above!
Fans have been hoping for this to happen ever since the series was canceled by Cartoon Network. There's been a lot of talk and speculation about the possibility of a third season and it looks like the fans' love for the series and writer and producer Greg Weisman's support helped bring it back.
Weisman will be back to shepherd the third season along with Brandon Vietti. The series isn't officially set at any network yet, but there were rumors that it could end up at Netflix, which currently streams the first two seasons of the show. According to Deadline, Netflix is considered a suitable home as it has successfully revived several cult series already,...

Director John Mackenzie's powerful and captivating 1972 kitchen sink drama Made has been given the opportunity to find a new audience via a tasty UK Blu-Ray release from Network Distributing.
Valerie Marshall (Carol White) is a single mother eking out a meagre living as a London telephone exchange operator whilst simultaneously caring for her multiple-sclerosis-stricken mother (Margery Mason). Seemingly destined never to find true happiness and weary of the inapposite attentions of would-be suitors, Valerie agrees to assist priest and family friend Father Dyson (John Castle) in chaperoning a bunch of underprivileged youths on a day trip to the seaside. There she meets folk singer Mike Preston (Roy Harper), whose outwardly relaxed approach to life just might pave her way to salvation.
A slightly ponderous and largely dispiriting snapshot of early 1970s lower class Britain, I'll openly confess that when I first saw Made I was convinced it would leave me cold.

Last season saw Colton Haynes' Roy Harper aka Arsenal reduced to a recurring role, with the character not appearing until the 12th episode. However, it looks as if Green Arrow's comic book sidekick will be returning fairly early on in season 5. Though fans shouldn't get their hopes up for a full-time return for Haynes. He's recently booked a season-long guest spot on Fox's Scream Queens. News of Colton Haynes' appearance on the Vancouver set of Arrow was leaked during a snapchat session from Curtis Holt actor Echo Kellum. Earlier this year, Colton revealed that he was originally slated to remain a series regular on Arrow but sought a reduced role following tabloids outing him as a gay man. The shock of the reveal left Colton, who naturally has anxiety issues, in a state of poor mental health. He's since recovered and officially came out in a May issue of Entertainment Weekly.

With less than three months until the premiere of its third season and San Diego Comic-Con happening next weekend, The CW has opted to give us our first real taste of what’s to come on The Flash. Thanks to two new promo images, we now know what Keiynan Lonsdale will look like when his version of Wally West becomes the beloved hero, Kid Flash.
DC TV shows have done a pretty good job thus far when it comes to developing supporting characters and not always immediately slapping a costume on them. After all, Roy Harper debuted late in the first season of Arrow and didn’t don his Arsenal costume until Season 3. Much like the matter we are discussing today, the first reveal of him in costume came during the summer hiatus.

Nightwing has been a DC Comics character that fans have been hoping would appear in one of the The CW's Dctv shows ever since Arrrow's first season. Despite some campaigning from The Vampire Diaries' Steven R. McQueen, there are currently no plans for the character to appear as Batman lore seems to be reserved for the Dceu and Ben Affleck. However, even if the former Boy Wonder was available, Stephen Amell would actually prefer Colton Haynes'Roy Harper. When asked by fans on his official Facebook page, Amell stated, "You know, I feel like I’m good with Roy Harper. Let’s get Roy Harper back." Yet, with Team Arrow disbanding at the end of season 4 and Green Arrow set to lead a new group of crime-fighters that includes Wild Dog, Vigilante and Artemis there might not be enough room forArsenal to return, at least as a series regular.

Could Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) traveling back in time and preventing his Mom's murder at the hands of Reverse-Flash impact more than just The Flash? Stephen Amell says that may very well be the case, at least for Arrow. In the comic book version of Flashpoint, Oliver Queen is an inventor and ex-military, having previously led a group of soldiers (which included Roy Harper) collectively known as the Green Arrows. Upon honorable discharge from the military, the group goes on to form Green Arrow Industries and secures several defense contracts with the Us government. However, in that alternate reality, Oliver Queen steals weapons from various C-list villains and reapplies their tech for military use. It should also be noted that in the Flashpoint reality, Green Arrow and Vixen have a daughter together, which could be another factor as to why the show enlisted her aid to defeat Damien Darhk...

Everyone can admit the fake Canary persona didn't suit Evelyn Sharp too well on Arrow Season 4.
But Evelyn caught the bug, and Madison McLaughlin will be returning to Arrow Season 5 as the young woman who wants to help save the day. This time she has a new plan.
Beginning on Arrow Season 5 Episode 2, Evelyn Sharp will take up her own vigilante identity – Artemis.
So what's the story behind Artemis?
We can only go to the comics to get it!
Artemis was the daughter of Sportsmaster and Tigress (there's always a Tigress). They were villains.
Artemis was a member of the Injustice Society, so a bad girl, before a twist that came in the Young Justice series.
In that series, Artemis became the Green Arrow's sidekick after Roy Harper left the group.
Well, guys, Roy has left the group. So has the woman Evelyn first tried to imitate to avenge her parents' deaths,...

Another emerald archer is coming to Star City... Variety is reporting that Madison McLaughlin (Chicago P.D.) has signed on to return as Evelyn Sharp in Arrow season five, but instead of becoming the Black Canary 3.0, she'll be forging her own identity as Artemis. McLaughlin will recur throughout the season with her arc starting in episode 502. Further details on the extent of her role were unavailable, but it's likely the show will follow Artemis' arc from the DC animated series Young Justice, which saw her become the Green Arrow's sidekick following the departure of Roy Harper. Barring any unforeseen twist, it's unlikely the show will explore her parents, the villains Tigress & Sportsmaster, who are both presumed dead in the Arrow universe. So, what do you guys think? Sound off with your thoughts below! After defeating his most formidable foe to date and riding off into the sunset with longtime flame Felicity Smoak,...

At the end of Arrow‘s fourth season, the team went their separate ways, and Oliver Queen was left to tackle Star City’s criminals by himself. However, the first major casting addition to season five of The CW series points to the hero having some backup in the form of a new vigilante when the show returns.
We’re referring to a relatively obscure DC Comics character known as Wild Dog. Introduced in a short-lived series in the late 1980s, Wild Dog was a former star athlete and Marine who turned to vigilantism when his girlfriend was murdered because of her secret ties to the mob. How much of that backstory Arrow will keep remains to be seen, but we do know that he’ll be played by Rick Gonzalez (Mr. Robot, Reaper).
More News From The Web
The official description for the small screen version of Wild Dog reveals that he is, “a new vigilante in Star City whose reckless and cocksure nature prompts Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) to take him under his wing.” That actually sounds fairly similar to what happened when Oliver decided to train Roy Harper as Arsenal, so it’s now going to be interesting to see how this relationship ends up being different to that one.
After the very mixed response to season four, it’s pretty clear that Arrow needs to up its game, especially with the likes of Supergirl and The Flash also on the network. With any luck, the addition of Wild Dog will help freshen things up for the series.

Black Siren comes to Central City in a dreadful episode of The Flash season 2. Our Us chums step in to cover review duties...
This review contains spoilers.
2.22 Invincible
Alarm bells started ringing within seconds of "Invincible" kicking off. For one thing, the "metapocalypse" (which is an inexcusable word) didn't look all that intimidating. It looked less like Central City was under siege than it did a block or so in Vancouver. It was all downhill from there.
"Invincible" was so poorly written as to be completely baffling. What in the world was the point of "healing" Barry in "The Runaway Dinosaur" only to take everything away from him again an episode later? I was certain that Barry's bizarre, almost zen-like overconfidence was a mask for something deeper. When other characters started commenting on it, I figured it had to be a "Barry knows something we don't" situation.

This week’s Arrow featured the return of a lot of fan-favorites with Roy Harper, Nyssa al Ghul, Katana and even Shado, as well as the introduction of Tom Amandes as DC Comics’ the Calculator who, as easily guessed, was revealed as Felicity’s father. In addition to that, Thea’s blood lust situation starts to get even worse. Despite that many of my favorites, including Roy, returned for this episode, “Unchained” felt it was a little all over the place, despite how smoothly a lot of things came together in the end. But despite of that, it was fun to see so many old

"Unchained" saw two Arrow fan favorites return to Star City, Nyssa Al Ghul and Roy Harper. One return was exciting, action-packed and everything fans of the character could have hoped to see. The other was Roy's return. It's not that Roy's homecoming to Star City was bad. Colton Haynes is still about as likable as he's ever been on screen playing Roy Harper and it was fun to see him suit up again. The plot was just a little bland. "Unchained" as a whole felt like a massive set-up for episode 13, "Betrayal". That episode should be a wild ride of Arrow story based on the cliffhanger of "Sins of the Father."...

When Colton Haynes made the surprise decision to leave Arrow last year, most of us assumed that that was the last we’d see of Roy Harper. After all, the character faked his death to protect the Green Arrow’s identity and there was talk of Haynes looking to pursue a movie career. Well, regardless of all of that, he’s back for an appearance in tonight’s episode of the hit series.
