Interstellar
EW reports that over an hour of footage from Christopher Nolan's latest feature "Interstellar" has been shot in IMAX.
Nolan says: "This is the first film I have made where the actual experience of the film is paramount to the audience. You would think that's the case with Batman movies but it's not; they're more dependent on the reaction of characters on screen. Interstellar is different. It harkens back to the direct experience films of 2001, where you're not just experiencing it through the characters, you are lost in it."
Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death
Relativity has moved up the release date of Tom Harper's horror sequel "Woman in Black 2: Angel Of Death". Originally slated to open January 30th, it will now hit January 2nd.
Jeremy Irvine and Helen McCroy star in the film which takes place four decades after the events in the 2012 Daniel Radcliffe-led original.

You might think that getting ready to direct Woman In Black sequel Angel Of Death would consume all of a director’s attention. Not so Tom Harper, who is somehow finding time to squeeze in the filming of War Book, written by Skins man and The Fades creator Jack Thorne. This one is also a sequel, and will continue the story of War Horse by ditching the horse and replacing him with a book. Yes, a young man finds a magical book that helps save many lives when Nazis attack a library. “I love you, War Book,” whispers Timmy Lansdale. There is a brief rustling of pages. War Book knows. War Book always know… (You’re fired – Ed)Sorry, we’re now being informed that that’s completely wrong. War Book is actually a chilling chamber piece exploring the aftermath of an international nuclear attack, through a war game played...

The adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith's zombified take on Jane Austen's classic novel is showing signs of life again. "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies," following Elizabeth Bennet as she copes with life and love and the undead, has changed hands a few times. David O. Russell, Mike White, and Craig Gillespie were all rumored to direct at one point. Russell wrote the screenplay, and Natalie Portman was rumored to star in the film, but last we heard, Portman is now producing under her Handsomecharlie Films banner.
The latest rumor involves "Igby Goes Down" director Burr Steers and "Mirror Mirror" actress Lily Collins. The star is currently in negotiations for the role, which we hope goes well since it seems like a match made for zombified England. What do you think?

Unlike ghosts, which aren.t even real, ill-conceived horror movie sequels will sometimes go away all on their own, without any outside interference like an exorcist or a demonologist coming out to take care of it. Often, all it takes is just enough people paying absolutely no attention to it. The Woman In Black was one of the better scary-book-to-scary-film adaptations I have had the pleasure of seeing. I expected nothing less from Hammer Studios, after all. Now the sequel – handily entitled The Woman In Black: Angel Of Death, so we do not get confused – is getting all set to start filming, with the first proper round of casting news as well as a plot synopsis.
It ain’t bad, either. The story of The Woman In Black: Angel Of Death goes that the Eel Marsh House from the first film has been converted to a military mental hospital in World War II (great idea, guys). Phoebe Fox (best known for the TV series Switch) will play the lovely young nurse Eve, tasked with helping the disturbed young soldiers recover. This might be problematic given the presence of the original ghostie, the Woman in Black, who … does not like people very much.

Tom Harper's The Woman in Black: Angel of Death horror will star War Horse's Jeremy Irvine and Switch's Phoebe Cox in the sequel to 2012's CBS release starring Daniel Radcliffe, report sources. The first film grossed over $54.3 million domestically, while overseas it accumulated over $73.3 million. This is risky business. The Woman in Black made that amount of coin vastly due to the Harry Potter star. Irvine, while talented, does not have the pull to get this film to that worldwide $127.7 million total. Harper's taken over the reigns from the first pic's James Watkins, directing from a script by Jon Croker, based on Susan Hill's work. The story picks up forty years after the first film, where a new couple move into Eel Marsh House and are haunted by the woman in black.

Despite the fact that it opened at number two here in the States when it first came out (trailing Josh Trank's Chronicle), the horror flick The Woman in Black was actually a fairly big success. After making $20 million in its first weekend, it went on to score a total of $54 million domestically and $127 million worldwide (not to mention that it was the highest grossing horror film in the UK in 20 years). As a result is was a surprise to few when it was announced that a sequel was in the works titled The Woman In Black: Angel of Death. And today that project is moving forward with the reveal that a director has been found. Hammer films has announced via press release that the BAFTA nominated director Tom Harper has signed a deal to helm the spooky horror sequel based on a screenplay by Jon Croker. Harper will...

Say what you will about Hammer's Us adaptation of The Woman in Black, I personally enjoyed the movie so much that I was excited when I heard a sequel was in the works. Speaking of which, Screen Daily is reporting that the BAFTA-nominated Tom Harper will direct the sequel to horror smash which raked up $127,730,736 at the box office. Not too shabby, eh? The plot is said to revolve around the Eel Marsh House - four decades after the original, wi…...

Tuesday night saw the UK television premiere of Shane Meadows’ mini-series This Is England ‘86, a sequel to his 2006 film This Is England, set three years after the events of that movie and following (mostly) the same group of characters, who are played once more by their original actors.
The first of four episodes, written by Shane Meadows & Jack Thorne and directed by Tom Harper, serves largely to reintroduce us to the characters, establishing their current situations – Shaun (Thomas Turgoose) has just finished secondary school and wants to tour the country on his moped, Woody (Joseph Gilgun) and Lol (Vicky McClure) are about to get married – and setting up events for later on in the series, which seem likely to involve Shaun being reunited with his former friends, and Lol dealing with her long-missing, now-returned father.
The episode is filled with the realistic dialogue and working-class humour that’s come to...

Snappily adapted from Mark Millar and John Romita Jr's strip by screenwriter Jane Goldman and director Matthew Vaughn (who previously teamed up on the touching fantasy Stardust), this follows the misadventures of wannabe crime buster Dave Lizewski, aka Kick-Ass (Aaron Johnson), who becomes strangely immune to pain after getting his head very publicly kicked in. In June of 2008 we reported with oh-so-much confidence that Hugh Grant would be starring in the romantic comedy Lost for Words, which would start filming in September and would star Grant as a British film star who falls for the director of a film he's making in China. At the time Danish director Susanne Bier was planning to direct and Ziyi Zhang was going to play the female lead, but here we are two years later, and pretty much everything has changed. Deadline is now reporting that Tom Harper, an up-and-coming British director who is barely 30, will be directing, with a younger cast being brought in as well. Grant dropped out a while ago, and at one point Tom Cruise was apparently going to replace him, but now don't be surprised to see Robert Pattinson or the suddenly ubiquitous Andrew Garfield show up instead. Working Title is planning to start...

Endearing teenager Thomas Turgoose gives a touching performance in director Tom Harper's confident feature debut
The endearing Grimsby teenager Thomas Turgoose, who made such a mark as the 12-year-old lad fallen among Lincolnshire neo-Nazis in Shane Meadows's This is England, gives a touching performance as David, a lonely lad living with a boozy father on a caravan site in Norfolk and experiencing an edgy brother-sister relationship with Emily (Holliday Grainger), a pretty redhead a year or so his senior and infinitely more mature. The pair spend the summer jumping from caravan to caravan, like wild boys of the road leaping from boxcar to boxcar in Depression America, and rolling around on the cliffs. Their idyll ends when Emily's slatternly mother wants to send her to live with her father, and David conspires to hide her in a concealed cave. But their plan goes wrong, first dangerously when the police intervene,...
