Bob Harris was born on April 11, 1946 in Northampton, Northamptonshire, England, UK. He is an actor and writer, known for Wild Rose (2018), Made (1972) and Rutland Weekend Television (1975). He is married to Trudie ?. They have three children.
He presents shows on BBC Radio 2 ("Bob Harris Show" on Saturdays and "Bob Harris Country" on Thursdays) and he was one of the original presenters on BBC 6 Music.
Presented the award for Best Traditional Track to The Imagined Village, for Cold Haily Rainy Night, at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards. (4th February 2008).
Won a Sony Award for 'Music Broadcaster of the Year'.
In 2003 he received the Radio Academy/PRS award for 'Outstanding Contribution to Music Radio'.
