Dave Holmes, the ex-manager of the British rock band Coldplay, has sued the band for £10 million ($12.3 million) he believes he is contractually owed for two unreleased Coldplay albums.
Holmes left as Coldplay’s band manager in August 2022 after working with them for 22 years.
The band is currently being managed by Phil Harvey, Mandi Frost and Arlene Moon, who have worked with Holmes and the band previously.
Holmes filed a claim to the High Court of Justice, alleging that the band had backed out on a promised contract for their tenth and eleventh albums. It was agreed in the contract that the manager would be paid a commission.
Additionally, Holmes declared that the band had attempted to demote him from manager to head of touring.
In response, the band members, Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman and Will Champion, filed a counterclaim in the High Court, which declared that Holmes had...

Chris Martin and Coldplay are being taken to court by the former manager.
According to a report in Variety, Coldplay ended its 22-year association with longtime manager Dave Holmes approximately 12 months ago, and are now being managed by a team consisting of Phil Harvey, Mandi Frost and Arlene Moon, who had worked with the band and Holmes for several years.
Variety points to legal documents filed in the U.K. indicating that Holmes is suing the band, with a rep telling the outlet that the lawsuit involves a “contractual dispute.” Because the legal documents had yet to be made public, there was no further information made available.

June 18th is shaping up to be a killer day for genre fans, as two of my favorite movies of 2019 are making their way home: Jordan Peele’s Us and Lords of Chaos (on DVD) from Jonas Åkerlund. Kino Lorber is showing Chan-wook Park some love this week with their Blu-ray release of Thirst, and Scream Factory has put together the impressive-looking Universal Horror Collection: Volume 1 set as well.
Other home entertainment releases for this Tuesday include Under the Silver Lake, The Monolith Monsters, Crypto, The Nightmare Gallery, Derangement, and Disappearance.
Lords of Chaos
The story of True Norwegian Black Metal and its most notorious practitioners: a group of young men with a flair for publicity, church-burning and murder: Mayhem. Oslo, 1987. Seventeen-year-old Euronymous is determined to escape his idyllic Scandinavian hometown and create "true Norwegian black metal" with his band, Mayhem. He's joined by equally fanatical youths - Dead and Varg.

“Behind A Barrier Of Antarctic Ice…A Paradise Of Hidden Terrors!” Universal-International laid out a pretty penny to film this elaborate spin on The Lost World, modernized to take in discoveries at the South Pole. It’s a showcase for fancy B&W opticals and traveling mattes … but the featured monster stars are a big letdown — a pathetic rubber costume for a T-Rex and a clunky mechanical water dragon. And the leading lady screams as she pretends to be entangled in a man woman-eating plant!
