As adults, Tom Felton and Emma Watson are close friends, but the “Harry Potter” alum revealed it “did not start well” on set.
Felton was 12 years old when he was cast as Draco Malfoy in the franchise, and admitted that his relationship with then 9-year-old Watson at first involved mocking her. As Felton wrote in his memoir “Beyond the Wand: The Magic and Mayhem of Growing Up a Wizard,” via Insider, Watson “put together a little dance show” in her dressing room for the cast, while Felton and co-star Josh Herdman teased her.
“We sniggered our way down to Emma’s show, and the sniggers grew louder as she danced,” Felton wrote. “We were just being shitty boys, largely out of awkwardness and because we thought taking the piss was cool, but Emma was visibly upset by our thoughtless reaction. I did feel like a bit of a dick, and rightly so.

Tom Felton revealed in his new memoir, “Beyond the Wand: The Magic and Mayhem of Growing Up a Wizard,” that he still feels “ashamed” for mocking co-star Emma Watson’s dance moves on the set of the “Harry Potter” movies. Felton was 12 years old when he started filming the first movie, while Watson was only 9. When Felton and his fellow Slytherin actor Josh Herdman (Gregory Goyle) heard Watson had “put together a little dance show in her dressing room,” they walked over and were “predictably dismissive” of her.

Tom Felton has said he still feels “ashamed” of laughing at a young Emma Watson on the set of Harry Potter.
The Draco Malfoy star recalled the “painful” memory in his newly released memoir, Beyond the Wand: The Magic and Mayhem of Growing Up a Wizard.
Felton is three years older than Hermione Granger star Watson, whom he met at auditions when she was just nine and he was 12 years old.
The actor wrote that, in the early days, there was a real-life divide between the young Griffindor stars and their Slytherin rivals.
Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) and Watson formed one trio while Felton, Jamie Waylett (Vincent Crabbe) and Josh Herdman (Gregory Goyle) were slightly older.
"I suppose we thought we were a bit cooler," Felton wrote. "We'd spend our free time together listening to rap music – Wu-Tang, Biggie, 2Pac.”

Martin Herdman and Josh Herdman in Sink
A slice of social realism served with a twist, Sink is the story of Micky (played by Martin Herdman), a skilled manual worker with responsibilities that become overwhelming after he loses his job, prompting him to take a new direction in life. It's written and directed by Mark Gillis, who was keen to talk about the issues it addresses and why he came to make it.
“I suppose there’s two strands to it," he begins. "One is that I live in the area where it’s set. There’s some really troubled estates around and from just about every direction you see the skyscrapers of Canary Wharf with the great bank names on the tops of them. It made me more and more angry as time went on, you know, that nothing happened after the crash, now ten years ago, nobody was...

Anyone who was let down by Ridley Scott and Russell Crowe’s 2010 “Robin Hood” and feels the hero deserves another chance on the big screen is in luck. Lionsgate has debuted the first trailer trailer for “Robin Hood,” directed by Otto Bathurst in his feature debut and starring Taron Edgerton and Jamie Foxx. Whereas Scott’s “Hood” was a war epic, Bathurst’s “Hood” looks like a rollicking action film inspired by Guy Ritchie.
Egerton, best known for his role leading in the “Kingsman” franchise, heads the cast as the titular bandit. Foxx plays Little John, one of Hood’s best friends and the leader of the Merry Men outlaws. Ben Mendelsohn stars as the villain, while “The Knick” breakout Eve Hewson plays Hood’s love interest, Maid Marian. Jamie Dornan, Josh Herdman, and Björn Bengtsson co-star.

Since the late 1300s there have been many different iterations of the legendary Robin Hood. The most famous story being “The Noble Birth and Gallant Atchievements of that Remarkable Out-Law, Robin Hood” (1678). But when it comes to film adaptations, that’s a different story…almost completely. The best known Robin Hood films are Prince of Thieves the one in which Kevin Costner starred in, Disney’s animated version and who can forget the Mel Brooks Men in Tights version? The most recent time the story came to the big screen was in 2010 which starred Russell Crowe. The legendary hero is once again getting his story told on the big screen but this time it stars Taron Egerton and Jamie Foxx.

Josh Herdman, the actor who played Draco Malfoy's righthand man in all eight Harry Potter movies, made his amateur debut as an Mma cage fighter this weekend, defeating his Polish opponent Janusz Walachowski at the City Pavillion in London. "I've been training traditional Japanese jujitsu for nearly five years and hold a shodan black belt," Herdman, 28, told the U.K.'s Mirror. "It's raw, exciting and unpredictable. I find it more interesting than boxing although I appreciate the beauty and art in boxing. It also made sense to move onto Mma because of my jujitsu training." Herdman hasn't lost any love for acting, but...

From Ghostbusters 3 to a Firefly reunion, videogames are doing what movies can't...
Tie-in video games are nothing new in the moviemaking or televisual world. Through these spin-off products, we can play out adventures featuring our favourite characters without having to leave the house.
Most of the time, though, said characters don’t sound quite right. For financial reasons, you’ll often see a different voice cast step in to replace the overly expensive stars from the original film or TV version. Admittedly, these stand-ins do a very good job from time to time. But you can always tell the difference.
Sometimes, though, providing a rare treat for fans, actors can be convinced – by money, passion or a good script - to reprise their iconic film or TV characters once more for a video game adventure. Here are 32 games that featured instances of this incredibly fun phenomenon…...

This is the case with first time director Kieron Hawkes' Piggy. Joe (Martin Compston) is the subject of the psychological exploration and the results are a little vague. The journey to this conclusion is enjoyable as a psychological thriller should be, with Joe accepting a darker more sinister side. Joe is the protagonist and he is disaffected by modern society. Set in London, Joe goes to work, numbs himself with booze, and then rinses repeats. He is a character with social anxiety; he fears others and a darker part of himself. That shadowy side is projected in the character Piggy (Paul Anderson). He is an imaginary friend returned from his childhood after the violent death of his brother brings his world into turmoil.

Piggy is Kieron Hawkes’ feature debut and tells the brutal story of a young drifter whose life descends into a terrible spiral of murder and revenge when he and his brother suffer a life-changing incident.
Paul Anderson, Martin Compston, Josh Herdman and Kill List’s Neil Maskell head up the cast and in this exclusive clip, which is by no means safe for work of any kind, we see the terrifying interrogation scene which shows the dark heart of Hawkes’s film and which propels the film towards its bleak conclusion.
The film is out in UK cinemas tomorrow, here’s your clip.

Piggy
Stars: Martin Compson, Neil Maskell, Paul Anderson, Josh Herdman, Louise Dylan | Written and Directed by Kieron Hawkes
I think I started to worry with Piggy when I saw the poster and it had a quote on it saying it was the “New Clockwork Orange”, the first thing that sprang into my head at that moment was it had a lot to prove. A Clockwork Orange is one of my favourite films so of course my sceptical mind was awoken straight away. This of course was a comment from another review that had been used so you can’t hold it against the film for what a critic has said. I would state though, you can’t beat A Clockwork Orange for what it does, it is that simple.

This is the Pure Movies review of Piggy, directed by Kieron Hawkes and starring Paul Anderson, Martin Compston, Josh Herdman, Neil Maskell, Louise Dylan, Roland Manookian, Jumayn Hunter and Ebony Gilbert. Written by Michael Holder for @puremovies Bleak realism, tough lives and urban gloom. Piggy, the debut feature from young writer-director Kieron Hawkes, is the kind of film for which critics play a game of chicken over who first uses the words “gritty British drama” (a hollow victory right there for others , if claimed). There’s violence, too, of course. At one point, the film’s title character stamps on a man’s head perhaps as many as 30 times; each and every blow causing such a crushing squelch that it wouldn’t be surprising to see the camera tilt down to a pile of pulverised watermelons.

One of the most interesting events at this weekend's Sundance London festival at the O2 isn't quite a film at all: it's a table read of a new script called Farming by well-established British actor Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje. And he's assembled a stellar cast for the read, including Ashley Walters, Marc Warren, Minnie Driver and David Harewood.Farming is an autobiographical tale about a young man called Enitan (who Walters will be reading), growing up in 1960s and 1970s Britain. His Nigerian immigrant parents engage in a then-common practice called "farming", fostering their son to a white couple while they work, study and save. But amid a cultural backlash to immigration, Enitan finds himself struggling to create his own identity and falls in with a gang of skinheads. The read-through will also feature Nikki Amuka, Michael Socha, Bronson Webb, Joshua Herdman, Ony Uhiara, Femi Oyeniran and Jonathon Hyde.Akinnuoye-Agbaje already attended...

If the last time you read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was the weekend it hit bookstores, you may have scratched your head a few times while watching Deathly Hallows — Part 2. Here, a few burning questions answered.
1. Who was Ron supposed to be when they broke into Gringotts? In the book, it’s made clear that they only have enough Polyjuice Potion for one person. Therefore, Hermione simply reworks some of Ron’s features, which is why he’s still recognizable. Had he introduced himself in the film, he’d have been fictional foreigner Dragomir Despard, a Dark Lord...

Week 11 of EW’s 2011 Summer Movie Body Count continues with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — Part 2. We expected this to reignite the debate over whether a certain someone technically dies, but we didn’t anticipate how difficult it would be to count the dead at the Battle of Hogwarts with the variety of curses, quick camera shots, and changes from the book. To be added to our list of casualties, you must die onscreen or have your lifeless body displayed. Let’s discuss, but keep it civil. Warning: Spoilers Ahead!

After more than a decade, the record breaking and universally beloved "Harry Potter" franchise is finally coming to an end this summer when "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2" blows the doors off of theaters beginning July 15.
That's still three months away, though, so what is a dedicated "Potter' fan supposed to do between now and then to pass the time?
Well, how about completely geek out over two hot new photos from the final film?
We thought that might get your attention. On the day of the first part's release on DVD and Blu-ray, Warner Bros. has decided to tease fans with a pair of still pictures from "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2" -- pictures that feature both Harry's friends and his enemies in the form of Draco Malfoy and company. Oh, yeah.

Harry Potter star Josh Herdman has reportedly been thrown out of a hotel for being drunk and abusive. The actor, who plays Gregory Goyle in the films, travelled to Copenhagen to appear at the Collectormania convention, The Sun reports. However, he allegedly got drunk on the plane to help with his fear of flying and abused fans when he arrived. "Herdman was an utter disgrace," a source said. "He was out of his skull when he arrived and his behaviour got worse. Lots of kids came to see him. He was meant to meet them with a smile and sign autographs. But they were greeted by a scowling, offensive, foul-mouthed drunk." Organisers reportedly decided to cut Herdman's appearance short and dropped him from the second day of the convention, but he allegedly continued to drink when he returned to the Hotel Kong Frederik. "He came into reception and started (more...

Harry Potter star Josh Herdman caused havoc at a film convention in Copenhagen, Denmark - after drunkenly abusing fans and demanding an ambulance, according to U.K reports.
The actor, who plays bully Gregory Goyle in the wizard franchise, attended the Collectormania comic and film event last weekend (21/22Nov09) and was expected to meet-and-greet fans.
But the star shocked Potter devotees after allegedly romping with a half-naked blonde and staggering around the convention swearing and shouting, reports Britain's The Sun newspaper.
A source tells the publication, "Herdman was an utter disgrace. He was out of his skull when he arrived and his behaviour got worse. Lots of kids came to see him. He was meant to meet them with a smile and sign autographs. But they were greeted by a scowling, offensive, foul-mouthed drunk."
The hotel guest adds, "He came into reception and started screaming abuse at Collectormania's organisers. At one point he screamed, 'I am a regular cast member in the biggest movie franchise in cinema history and you will not speak to me like that!' He kept kicking off in the hotel all evening.
"Staff tried to get him to check out but he started crying for an ambulance, saying he was going to die. He finally collapsed in the toilet with his trousers round his ankles. When staff tried to get him to move he started screaming and bolted into the cafe next door. Police and an ambulance were called because he was clearly out of control."
The newspaper claims that Herdman was seen to by paramedics, before cops ordered him to pay his bill and leave the venue. No arrests were made.

All the press focus get shoved onto the main Harry Potter kids, the Daniel Radcliffes and the Emma Watsons who are carefully controlled by the studio and know better than to say anything that might not make the studio happy. But apparently to get the real juicy stuff, you have to go to the minor players-- which is how MuggleNet got their hands on some slight spoilers for the final two Harry Potter films. Joshua Herdman, who plays Draco Malfoy's goonish right hand man Goyle, confirmed rumors that the split between the two films will occur just after Ron, Hermione and Harry are captured by the Snatchers, and the second film will start at Malfoy Manor. The real surprise for me, though, came with the news that the actor who plays Crabbe, Jamie Waylett, was arrested for marijuana possession a few months ago, and won't be in the Deathly Hallows...

As most magic-loving Muggles know, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" -- the final installment in J.K. Rowling's seven book series -- will be split into two pieces for its upcoming movie adaptation. There have long been suggestions and assumptions about where that split might lie. Last we heard, director David Yates had "three or four different ideas" about where the break should be.
Now we have what looks to be confirmation, though it's important to remember the old adage that "looks can be deceiving" in this particular case. Joshua Herdman, who plays Slytherin crony Goyle in the films, broke the news in a Q&A held in the UK several weeks ago. "Potter" fansite MuggleNet is quick to point out that "the director and producers have made it clear that they could very well change" the split point, so take all of this for what it's worth. Be warned,...

Thanks to some digging by MuggleNet, we now have greater insight to when the split will occur in the two-part movie Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
Actor Joshua Herdman plays Goyle in the films, and at a Q & A, MuggleNet says he told them the current plan was to split Deathly Hallows just after the Harry, Hermionie and Ron are captured by the Snatchers and right before they are taken to Malfoy Manor.
So diehards … is that the right choice? Is there a better place to leave moviegoers dying for more?
Source: MuggleNet
And many news outlets are reporting Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will be yours to own on DVD and Blu-Ray on December 7.
It looks like it will be a two-disc release, including a bonus and digital copy of the film for both Blu-Ray and DVD.
No word yet on all the extras.

Red alert Rupert Grint and Harry Potter fans! Several Harry Potter websites report this morning that actor Joshua Herdman, who plays Gregory Goyle in Harry Potter movies (and who was also in Thunderpants with Rupert Grint) attended a fan convention Muggle Mayhem a few weeks ago, and revealed that the ending point for "Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part I" would be the scene just after Harry, Ron and Hermione are captured by the Snatchers. Thus, "Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part II" would begin with Malfoy Manor scenes. Of course, it is too early for an official confirmation, because the director David Yates and the producers might decide to change this decision later on. Still, what do you think, is this the best place to split Deathly Hallows? Join our forum discussion here (so far we have 369 pages worth of Dh debates)!

The Harry Potter franchise is at the centre of another drug drama - a second star has been photographed smoking what appears to be marijuana.
Pictures of Josh Herdman, who has played bully Gregory Goyle in all of the Potter movies, puffing what appears to be a joint have appeared in U.K. tabloid The Sun.
The picture was taken while the 20-year-old star was holidaying in Amsterdam, Holland, where it is legal to smoke cannabis, last year.
A source tells the newspaper, "Josh sees himself as one of the boys. He'll join in with whatever anyone's doing - but some fans might be shocked."
The images come shortly after fellow Potter star Jamie Waylett narrowly avoided prison after he was caught in possession of several bags of marijuana.
He was sentenced to community service after pleading guilty to drug charges in July.
