would spend as long atop those charts until Lonestar's 1999 country/pop
smash hit record, "Amazed.".
Has five other solo No. 1 hits to his credit, including "With One
Exception" and "You Mean the World to Me" (1967); "Have a Little Faith"
and "Already it's Heaven" (1968); and "Baby, Baby (I Know You're a
Lady)" (1970). Additionally, had a duet No. 1 with Tammy Wynette in 1967
called "My Elusive Dreams."
