The highly anticipated thriller Feast Of Varanasi premiered to a packed audience on Saturday 5th March as part of the London Asian Film Festival in central London.
Attended by the main cast and crew including director Rajan Kumar Patel, Ashwath Bhatt, Holly Gilbert and award winning producer Caroline O Reilly, the dark thriller has received huge praise from critics and the audience alike. English dancer and actress Seeta Indrani (Broken) and Richard Short (666 Park Avenue) are set for arcs on USA’s spy drama Covert Affairs. Indrani will play Sana, a beautiful and sophisticated Indian woman whom Annie (Piper Perabo) befriends in the hopes that she may be the key to bringing Henry (Henry Wilcox) down for good. Short will take on the role of Reese, a charming Irish rocker-type who becomes entangled in Annie’s world. Greta Lee (Girls, Inside Amy Schumer) has been added to Fox’s event series Wayward Pines. She will play Ruby, the barista at the only coffee shop in Wayward Pines, who not only is a daily presence in everybody’s morning, but also knows everybody’s business. Royle Family duo Craig Cash and Ralf Little have reunited for new Sky1 sitcom The Cafe. Cash has directed the series, which is based around a family business in Weston-super-Mare, run by a mother, grandmother and daughter on the seafront. June Watson, Ellie Haddington and Michelle Terry take on the lead roles of Mary, Carol and Sarah. Little, who has written the script with Michelle Terry (Reunited), plays Sarah's ex-boyfriend Richard who is a musician by night and care home worker by day.
