A potential return to the lifestyle space for Meghan Markle would, per a commentator, hinge on her ability to open up. As in, regular glimpses into the private life of the Duchess of Sussex, 42. Meaning Meghan would have to forego some of the privacy
Meghan’s reportedly considering a return to the lifestyle space
“From what I understand, I think Meghan will take on Martha Stewart, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Ina Garten and play them at their own game,” an industry source told Page Six.
Per the report, Meghan’s sought advice from friends such as Clare Waight Keller, the fashion designer behind her 2018 royal wedding dress. She’s also reportedly looked to makeup entrepreneur Victoria Jackson of QVC fame for guidance.

If anyone should be able to engineer a reunion of “Saturday Night Live” alumni, it should be Dan Aykroyd.
A member of the show’s first cast of “Not Ready for Prime-Time Players,” Aykroyd was also among the first to jump from “SNL” to Hollywood and continues to tour with a band based on The Blues Brothers group he and John Belushi originated on the NBC mainstay.
But Aykroyd’s new project takes “SNL” formers to decidedly new terrain.
Aykroyd, Jim Belushi, Jon Lovitz, Kevin Nealon and “Cheers” alumni George Wendt (who made a name on “SNL” as the character Bob Swerski of the Chicago Superfans), have teamed up to lead subscribers of the streaming outlet Fox Nation through a history of drinking. Movie lovers know Steven Seagal for his rise to fame through the ’80s and ’90s as a B-movie action star. With hits like Under Siege, Above the Law, and Marked for Death, fans know him well. Unfortunately, Seagal has a history of behavior issues on set. Here’s what one director said about Seagal being a “pain in the neck” to work with.
Director Andrew Davis said Steven Seagal was a ‘pain in the neck’
Director Andrew Davis worked with Steven Seagal for Seagal’s 1988 debut, Above the Law. The director and actor worked together four years later in 1992’s Under Siege. Before Seagal was cast in Above the Law, he worked as a martial arts instructor in Hollywood. Michael Ovitz, an agent who was also Seagal’s student then, thought Seagal would be ideally suited for the leading role.

The accusations were said to have come up during a tense phone call.

Chris Tucker has revealed he once had a private jet turn around from LA back to New York so he could meet Michael Jackson.
“I was in New York for two days waiting to meet Mj,” Tucker recalled.
He told GQ: “I took a private jet there. I said, well, I ain’t heard from him, I got to go.
“I took a private jet back to LA and as soon as I landed, I had a message: ‘Michael Jackson wants to meet you tomorrow morning.’ I was still on the plane. I went up to the captain and said, ‘I’ll pay you whatever you want to take me back to New York.’”
The comedian also revealed that he and Jackson later became close friends, and the singer encouraged him to take on more work in Hollywood.
“He used to always say, ‘Let’s make history,’” Tucker said.

At the 2023 Oscars, 60-year-old Yeoh took home the award for Best Actress for her leading role in Everything Everywhere All at Once.
In doing so, she beat Cate Blanchett (Tár), Michelle Williams (The Fabelmans), Ana de Armas (Blonde) and Andrea Riseborough (To Leslie), who were nominated in the category.

Comedian Dana Carvey appeared as a regular cast member on "Saturday Night Live" from 1986 to 1993, and it could be argued those were some of the best years of the long-running sketch comedy show. And many of the accolades from that era go to Carvey. The list of his memorable characters is long and led to two successful "SNL"-inspired films, "Wayne's World" and "Wayne's World 2." Party on, Garth!
But Garth Algar is just the tip of the iceberg for Carvey's "SNL" career. President George Bush Sr., presidential candidate Ross Perot, Johnny Carson, and Tom Brokaw (Brokaw's pre-tapes remain one of my favorite "SNL" skits) were some of his memorable impersonations. Original characters included Hans from the weightlifting Hans and Franz duo, The Grumpy Old Man, and singer/songwriter Derek Stevens (you know you sang along about "Choppin' Broccoli").

Rick Ludwin, an NBC stalwart of three decades who proved his value to the network both as a trusted liaison to Johnny Carson and an early champion of Jerry Seinfeld, died Sunday in Los Angeles, according to the network. He was 71.
Ludwin launched his show-biz odyssey with one legendary funnyman — the future executive did some joke-writing for Bob Hope — and later cemented his legacy with another comedy icon by supporting the game-changing Seinfeld when other executives at NBC were skeptical of airing a show that was infamously “about nothing.”

Topher Grace believes we may take “Saturday Night Live” for granted. After nearly 45 years, the late-night sketch series has become such an institution that it’s easy to forget the program’s unique place in TV history.
“There’s something special about ‘SNL’ and how it’s been in the same place the whole time,” Grace told Variety‘s My Favorite Episode podcast. “A lot of it is the genius of Lorne Michaels, which is that show is so successful he could have moved it. He could have put it in a bigger studio. There’s something so small about that studio space, it’s hard to make things look great. That’s the point of it. He gives it this live, tactile quality that has captured over the last four and a half decades what America is going through. It’s so immediate, there’s nothing else like it.

The condemned: Campin’ Buddies (2014)
The plot: Backstory-less friends Tom (Tom Lester) and Rayford (Ray Stevens) participate in an animal-capturing camping competition (bring back the biggest live bird, fish, and “varmint”) in hopes of winning a $550,000 camper bus. After an endless series of encounters with Victoria Jackson in various guises (as a woman trying to steal their money in order to win the contest herself), they fail to capture any animals, so they buy a goldfish, a parakeet, and a rabbit. They come in second place. They go home. That’s it. And even that’s a generous description, narrative-wise. Here’s the movie as embodied by a line from over halfway through: “We wasted more time here today than an Amish electrician.”
Over-the-top box copy: “Campin’ Buddies: A Tom Logan film.” Calling it ...

Victoria Jackson, a six-year veteran of Saturday Night Live, is publicly wondering if her opposition to gay marriage prompted Lorne Michaels to treat her differently than the other cast members who attended the 40th anniversary of the show Sunday. Jackson, on her Facebook page, Twitter and in interviews, has mostly raved about Michaels and thanked the creator of SNL numerous times for hiring her in 1986, though she is also saying that she was the only castmember at Sunday's event to be banished to an overflow room. Some bloggers noted the oddity and were wondering if Michaels or someone

Victoria Jackson used to be a featured player on Saturday Night Live, now she's actively involved in tea party politics. Bill O'Reilly asked her about her political transformation in an interview that bizarrely ended up being mostly about how much she hates communism. She talked about being on SNL during the Reagan years, and somehow went from that to declaring that communists come for the Christians first.

Some movies will always make me laugh, but let’s face it; the same movies might make others yawn. Comedy is tricky business, the hardest genre to pull off from script to screen. I’ve put together a list of 10 More underrated or dismissed comedies that deserve a first chance or even a second chance at recognition. Humor is subjective, but gives these flicks a chance and I promise you will enjoy yourself.

The little-seen 1983 thriller Double Exposure has been released on Blu-ray by Scorpion Releasing as a special edition. The film has an interesting background. It was originally filmed in 1971 under the title of The Photographer by director William Byron Hillman with Michael Callan cast as a photographer of beautiful women who also turns out to be a serial murderer. Hillman and Callan were frustrated that the movie received only a limited release. Twelve years later, they collaborated on a remake of the movie using the title Double Exposure. This time around, Callan served as an uncredited screenwriter on Hillman's new script and he also produced the movie, as well. Major script changes included having the main character, Adrian Wilde (Callan), not certain if he actually is a murderer. He's a generally kind and decent man who eeks out a modest living photographing models. He resides in a mobile home in L.

Victoria Jackson, a vocal opponent of gays, Glee, immigrants, President Barack Obama and Occupy Wall Street, has people seeing red over her most recent missive regarding race in America. Once a featured actress on Saturday Night Live, Jackson has morphed into a leading light of the far-right blogosphere, with her columns on conservative websites and a recently launched web talk show. In a column posted to her personal site Thursday night, Jackson laments America's celebration of Black History Month and the nation's changing racial complexion. Victoria Jackson has stood by her comparison of the Newtown, Ct school shooting to Us President Barack Obama's pro-choice abortion policy. The former Saturday Night Live star was roundly condemned for a series of Facebook posts in the hours after a gunman murdered 20 children and six adults last Friday. Jackson openly mocked Obama tearing up as he spoke about the tragedy on Friday evening, writing: "Obama dramatically wiped a tear as he said, 'The majority of those who died today were children - beautiful little kids... They had their entire lives ahead of them - birthdays, graduations, weddings, kids of their own...' "Yeah Obama. Same As The Million Babies You Had Aborted This Year. Are You Crying For Them?" Jackson suggested to The Huffington Post earlier in the week that her remarks were justified. "I don't regret anything (more)...

Comedian-turned-unfortunate-loudmouth Victoria Jackson made some extremely controversial comments following the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Ct last week, though they're not surprising to anyone familiar with her politics. (She said she was disgusted with Christians after Barack Obama won the election, and that America died. She's also said that rape pregnancies are a blessing.)
On her Facebook, the Tea Party member wrote: "My friend Jim Riley posted: 'Wasn't the Connecticut killer just doing what abortionists do every day? It's a wonder we don't have more 20 year old "dads" doing what women and doctors have been an accomplice to for years in America. When you forget the Ten Commandments, people, This is what you get.'"
Commenters quickly took her to task, outraged at her suggestion that the suffering families in Newtown somehow deserved their pain. Jackson, however, remains unapologetic.
"I don't regret anything I have said," she tells Huffington Post.

Tea Party enthusiast and former "Saturday Night Live" cast member Victoria Jackson isn't backing down from her controversial comments following the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., telling The Huffington Post, "I don't regret anything I have said."

Victoria has come under a fire after a Facebook post on the day of the shootings. Now, she wants to make clear she is praying for the families involved.

Victoria Jackson sank to a new low with a post on her Facebook page just hours after the tragedy began unfolding at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut.
The former "SNL" star is no stranger to stoking controversy. She repeatedly made headlines throughout the presidential election, most notably for her response to Todd Akin's legitimate rape controversy.
But this post, quoting her friend and fellow Tea Partier Jim Riley, is her most shockingly tone deaf yet, echoing a sentiment that seems more like something you'd hear from Fred Phelps:

"Saturday Night Live" alum and right-wing Tea Party member Victoria Jackson is not happy about Barack Obama's reelection as President of the United States. As the news rolled in, she did the American thing: she took to her Twitter to rant and vent her frustration. "America died," she tweeted, and then a few minutes later, "I can't stop crying. America died."
She then turned to Facebook. "The Democrat party who voted God out of their platform and adopted Romans 1 as their platform won. In the Good vs. Evil Battle, today...evil won." Though she did have some supporters in the comments, it appears that most responses lean the other direction. "You know how I know that Obama winning a second term was gods will? Because it happend [sic]," wrote one commenter.
Jackson wasn't done yet, though. Oddly, the self-proclaimed "devout Christian" took aim at her own kind. "Thanks a lot Christians,...

Victoria Jackson hasn't exactly been a beacon of rational political analysis, but her post-election meltdown on Twitter may take the cake. After Barack Obama was declared the winner, the former "SNL" castmember proclaimed that America had "died."
For context, Jackson is the actress who proclaimed that she would have a baby if impregnated through rape, uncovered a "secret, underground group" of Hollywood Republicans and said gay marriage would "make God mad."
But we digress. Here's Jackson (via an unverified Twitter account) on the outcome of the 2012 presidential election:
And, to cap things off:...

Twitter is treated like something of a redheaded stepchild among literary forums, but honestly, it's the ideal place to be on important occasions like Election Day, Oscar Sunday, Holy Thursday, or Tuesday Weld's birthday. As comedian Guy Branum put it, "Social networking has made a fool of calloused old-school politics," and I have to concur: Twitter made a Election Day a blast while (get this!) keeping everyone informed. And energized and realistic and laughing. Yes, laughing. Thus, here's a collection of hilaaaarious tweets from great gay dudes you should follow immediately. Yes, I've inserted myself in the ranks. Don't mind me.

Former Saturday Night Live comedian Victoria Jackson has criticised Barack Obama's re-election. The outspoken activist took to her Twitter page to slam the results of the presidential race, which saw Obama beat Republican challenger Mitt Romney. Jackson posted a link to her Facebook page, which included an image of a gravestone with the words "Rip America" on it, and said: "I can't stop crying." "America died," she wrote. "I can't stop crying. America died." Jackson continued her complaints on her Facebook page, writing: "The Democrat party who voted God out of their platform and adopted Romans 1 as their platform won. In the Good vs. Evil Battle, today... evil won." Back on (more)...
