Filmmaker Harold Ramis has signed on to direct CBS' comedy pilot Atlanta, while Emmy winner Scott Winant is in talks to step in as director of ABC's drama pilot Women's Murder Club, replacing Brett Ratner.
In pilot pickup news, the CW has greenlighted Eight Days a Week, a comedy executive produced by Sean Hayes.
Atlanta, from CBS Paramount Network TV and Paul Reiser, revolves around a man (Freddie Prinze Jr.) and woman who meet at a funeral and can't stay away from each other.
Ramis' recent helming credits include the films The Ice Harvest along with Analyze This and its sequel, Analyze That.
He is repped by UTA and attorney David Kahn.
Club, from 20th Century Fox TV, centers on a homicide detective (Angie Harmon) and her three girlfriends, who solve murder cases.
Ratner, who has been instrumental in the development of the project, is tied up directing Rush Hour 3 and won't be able to wrap the movie in time to helm Club as originally planned. He will remain an executive producer on the pilot.
